  • For reliability and confidentiality of information security systems, the security engineering methodologies are accepted in many organizations. To improve the effectiveness of security engineering, this paper suggests a security methodology ISEM, which considers both product assurance and production processes, takes advantages in terms of quality and cost. To verify the effectiveness of ISEM, this paper introduces the concepts of quality loss, and compares the development costs and quality losses between ISEM and CC through the development of VPN system.

  • In this paper, how to evaluate the assembly system was studied. The traction machine(TRM/C) is a kind of medium sized small quantity product. This work was performed on restriction of satisfying the customer's demand by simulating on the criteria of the queuing quantity in production system, the effectiveness of assembly machine and the average time spent on assembling. The problems about assembling were grasped through the analysis of products and process. The outputs of simulations that used SIMAN on four alternatives were evaluated on the basis of the average queuing quantity, the line effectiveness, the assembly time of a product and the production capacity.

  • This study is about the effectiveness and activation strategies of vacational training programme for the disabled guided by the Ministry of Labour and the Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled(KEPAD). This research employed quantitative approach. The quantitative research used the samples of 853 disabled people who had finished vocational training programme during recent 3 years. In this research the effectiveness is categorized into two ; product effectiveness and employment effectiveness. Product effectiveness is influenced by the kind of train-center, train-area, train-length. The KEPAD, non-IT job area and train-period over 6 month are more effective. Employment effectiveness is significantly influenced by demo-sociological factor rather than disability factor. Especially the kind of train-center is very important to be employed for the disabled. This implicates that choice of train-center by the disabled and effective management of it by the public sector is very important in developing employment. Effective management, stated above, includes reengineering programmes and functions accountable to the need form the trainee, bridging the gap among train-centers in terms of performance, differentiation of financial support according to the product to save the public fund, encouraging one special programme in one train-center.

  • Purpose - Product purpose for optimal values solution for synthesize evaluative criteria and optimize product design values. In addition, product designer has to consider the product design to conform to project, laws and regulations, authentication, from the product design stage. Research design, data, methodology - How to use an evaluative criteria model's imprecise market data by evaluative criteria research design; product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements using product predicted value method. An evaluative criteria model and their associated criteria status, product evaluative criteria model of results. Results - Therefore, after the enterprise product design project analysis, effectiveness and the customer degree of satisfaction must be appraised to obtain the maximum value for the benefit on behalf of the implementation goals, the promotion product level and market competition strength. Conclusions - In multi criterion decision making (MCDM), using its searching software capacity to obtain the optimal solution.

  • This paper proposes a framework for product development including hardware and software components. The framework provides separation of the hardware dependent software, an integrated product development process, and integration of software components with product configurations and product structures. In order to separates the hardware dependent software, the framework considers product configuration modules and engineering changes of associated hardware and software components. The proposed product development process integrates development of the hardware dependent software into the existing product development process. In order to integrates the hardware dependent software with product configurations and product structures, the framework represents software components by existing product data models in Product Data Management (PDM). The framework is applied to development of a robot system including hardware and software components in order to show its effectiveness.

  • The purpose of this study is to show that the effectiveness of utilitarian versus hedonic attributefocused advertisement on product evaluation depends on the arousal level of positive emotion, and to explore mediation effect of cognitive response to utilitarian attribute-focused advertisement and affective response to hedonic attribute-focused advertisement on the effectiveness of utilitarian versus hedonic attribute-focused advertisement. This research employs a 2 (arousal level: mild vs. elevated) × 2 (advertisement type: utilitarian vs. hedonic) between-subjects design, and 200 undergraduate students participate in the experiment, in which there are 50 students at each experimental group. The results of ANCOVA with positive emotion level as a covariate on advertised product evaluation show significant interaction effect of arousal level and advertisement type, and no effect of positive emotional level. Both of the mediation effects of the cognitive response and those of the affective response are significant. Participants under mild (elevated) arousal of positive emotion more positively evaluate the product in utilitarian (hedonic) attribute-focused advertisement. The positive effect of utilitarian (hedonic) attributefocused advertisement on product evaluation is partially mediated by cognitive (affective) response to the advertisement when consumers are under the mild (elevated) arousal of positive emotion. The results of this study show that advertisers should use utilitarian (hedonic) attribute-focused advertisement to consumers under the mild (elevated) arousal of ambient positive emotion, which should be searched by exploring what kind of event they have experienced.

  • The explosion in creation and utilization of IP including Patent since 1980s has been regarded as typical trend affecting the environment for technological innovation. Korea also has shown massive creation of IP. These stimulate the focused interest on the effectiveness of IP for protecting the innovation output. We try to analyze the determinants of this effectiveness in Korean manufacturing sector in terms of the charactenstics of firm's innovation strategy. It is shown that, for protection for product innovation, as being larger, and as having made innovation, the IP protection is regarded as effective, and firms making cooperative R&D have a higher possibility of using IP protection. And larger firms give a higher recognition to effectiveness of IP protection irrespective of the types of innovation such as product innovation and process innovation.

  • In this study, a new kind of instrument for measuring the magnetic shielding effectiveness (MSE) was developed using a double yoke; one a magnetizing yoke and the other a sensing yoke. Using the developed instrument, the MSE could be measured for a steel sheet specimen in the ELF range, where the magnetic permeability contributes to the MSE at low frequencies and eddy currents contributes to the MSE high frequencies with < 0.1 dB reproducibility. The developed measuring method can be applied to quality control in a steel sheet company producing EMI/EMC shielding materials.

  • We first provide the linear operator equations corresponding to the Tikhonov regularization image denoising problems with different regularization terms, and then we propose how to choose Kronecker product preconditioners which are required for accelerating the $G{\ell}$-PCG method. Next, we provide how to apply the $G{\ell}$-PCG method with Kronecker product preconditioner to the linear operator equations. Lastly, we provide numerical experiments for image denoisng problems to evaluate the effectiveness of the $G{\ell}$-PCG with Kronecker product preconditioner.
