Design of Automatic Guided Vehicle Controller with Built-in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC 내장형 무인 반송차(AGV) 제어기 설계)

  • Recently, the industrial field has been changed to the smart factory system based on information and communication technology (ICT) in order to improve productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. The most important machine to realize the smart factory is the AGV(automatic guided vehicle) and the adoption of AGV is increasing. Generally, AGV is developed using general purpose PLC(Programmable Logic controller), but the price of AGV is expensive and its volume is large. On the other hand, the industrial field due to space constraints in the workplace is required the low cost AGV which can be minimization, expansion of function, and easily reconfiguration. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, this study is proposed a design method of AGV controller with built-in PLC, and evaluated its performance. In the results of the experimentation, it showed good performance (speed control error = 0.021[m/s], posture control error=2.1[mm]) for the speed and posture control. In this way, when applying the proposed AGV controller in this study to the industrial filed, it is possible to reduce the size and reconfigure at low cost.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution driven by the convergence of ICT(information and communication technology) and manufacturing, research on smart factories is being actively conducted. In particular, the manufacturing industry prefers smart factories that autonomously connect and analyze data. For the efficient implementation of smart factories, it is essential to have an integrated production system that vertically integrates separately operated production equipment and heterogeneous S/W systems such as ERP, MES. In addition, it is necessary to double-verify production data by using automatic data collection technology so that the production process can be traced transparently. In this study, we want to show a case of data-centered integration of a large aircraft parts processing factory that requires high precision, takes a long time, and has the characteristics of processing large raw materials. For this, the components of the data-oriented integrated production system were identified and the connection structure between them was explained. And we would like to share the experience gained through the design and implementation case. The integrated production system proposed in this study integrates internal components based on data, which is expected to serve as a basis for SMEs to develop into an advanced stage, and traces materials with RFID technology.

  • As emerging the '4th Industrial Revolution' by increasing the necessity of the intelligent system recently, 'Autonomic Control System' also has been the important issue. It is necessary to develop the system collecting data of machines and sensors for the autonomic control system to monitor the target system. But it is difficult to collect data because data formats of machines and sensors of the existing factories differ between each manufacturer. Therefore, this paper presents and implements data collecting and processing system that comprise 3 steps including 'ParseBuffer', 'ProcessData' and 'AddToBuffer' by using 'MTConnect' that is standard manufacturing facility data collecting middleware. Through the suggested system, we can get data in a common format usable in an autonomous control system. As a case study, we experimented with the generation and collection of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) data, which is an unattended transportation system in the factory. To accomplish this, we defined the data type in accordance with the MTConnect standard and confirmed the data collected through the proposed system.

  • 경찰청 자료에 따르면 한국에서 사망 교통 사고의 75.5%는 화물차 사고이다. 한국에서 화물차 사고로 숨지는 사람은 매년 약 1000명이며, 매일 2~3명이 화물차 사고로 사망한다. 한국의 화물노동자들은 화물차 사고가 끊이지 않는 이유로 열악한 노동조건을 응답하고 있다. COVID 19는 비대면 물류 수요를 증가시키고 있다. COVID 19로 인하여 급격하게 증가한 물류 수요는 기존의 낙후된 물류 기술과 낙후된 물류 시스템으로 인하여 운송 과정의 비효율성을 나타내고 있다. 이러한 한국 운송 시스템의 비효율성은 영세 물류 개인 사업자들에 대한 과도한 업무 부담으로 이어지고 있으며, 한국 운송 시스템의 비효율성은 2020년 이후 급격하게 증가한 물류 산업 재해 사망자 수로 나타나고 있다. CIPs에 입주한 한국 중소 기업들은 별도의 스마트 출입 인증 시스템을 갖추지 못하고 있는 경우가 많으며, 이로 인하여 최종 목적지인 출입 단계에서 많은 운송 시간들이 낭비되고 있다. 스마트 출입 인증 시스템 아키텍쳐를 통하여 영세 물류 개인 택배 사업자는 법적 안정성 개선 효과를 얻을 수 있으며, CIPs 중소 기업들은 물류 운송 시간을 단축하는 효과를 얻을 수 있다. CIPs스마트 출입 시스템은 현재 활성화되어 있는 Mobile OTP를 활용하므로, 시스템 설계 비용을 크게 절감할 수 있으며, 개별 휴대폰 단말기에 발생하는 Data용량 부담을 크게 줄이고, 개별 휴대폰 단말기의 응답 속도를 개선할 수 있다. 또한 기존에 다양하게 활용되던 OTP 체계와 호환성이 있으며, OTP 시스템의 오랜 사용 기간을 통한 시스템 신뢰성도 높다. 사용자 고객들의 OTP 시스템 이해도도 다른 스마트 출입 시스템에 비하여 높다.

  • Korea augmentation satellite system (KASS) integration, verification, qualification (IVQ) activity is verification of requirements for KASS system and its sub-system that were performed based on the inspection, analysis, review of design, test (IART) method from factory acceptance test (FAT) to test readiness review (TRR) after critical design review (CDR) was closed. In the FAT phase, developed equipment was installed on the test platform and we were verified interfaces between sub-systems and coupling test with the kass control station (KCS). In the site aceeptance test (SAT) phase, on-site verification was conducted by installing equipment verified by FAT such as kass reference station (KRS), kass processing station (KPS), kass uplink station (KUS), KCS. However, considering the developed plan and status, SAT was divided into 3 phases and coupling test was performed. In the TRR phase, the KASS system verification was performed through FAT's test list and additional test list using the satellite based augmentation system (SBAS) broadcast signal from geostationary earth orbit (GEO) 1.

  • The detection of defective parts in a factory is usually performed by the human eye. Therefore, heavy manpower is in demand for minor enterprises. An image processing system is desired to solve this drawback. However, due to the variety of the products characteristics, an general algorithm is needed that can adapt to these characteristics. Therefore, in this paper, the key pad parts' characteristics which need to be dealt with are analyzed in order to embody the image processing algorithm that is suggested. The experimental results show the probability of detecting a defective part is 95% with a detection time of 0.203 seconds, on the average.

A Scheduling Scheme for Flexible Flow Shop with Release Date and Due Date (시작시기와 납기를 고려하는 유연흐름공장의 일정계획)

  • This paper addresses a scheduling scheme for Flexible Flow Shop(FFS) in the case that a factory is a sub-plant of an electronic device manufacturing plant. Under this environment, job orders for the sub-plants in the production route are generated together with job processing time bucket when the customer places orders for final product. The processing time bucket for each job is a duration from possible release date to permissible due date. A sub-plant modeled FFS should schedule these jobs orders within time bucket. Viewing a Printed Circuit Board(PCB) assembly line as a FFS, the developed scheme schedules an incoming order along with the orders already placed on the scheduled. The scheme consists of the four steps, 1)assigning operation release date and due date to each work cells in the FFS, 2)job grouping, 3)dispatching and 4)machine allocation. Since the FFS scheduling problem is NP-complete, the logics used are heuristic. Using a real case, we tested the scheme and compared it with the John's algorithm and other dispatching rules.

  • 본 논문은 공장 자동화에 포괄되는 산업용 원격 제어 시스템을 웹을 통해 구성하고 이를 모형화하여 시스템이 동작되어지는 과정을 직접 구현 및 실험하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해서 Lego Robotics Invention System과 Real-Time Linux를 이용하여 신발 산업의 공정의 모형을 제작하며 웹에서 이를 제어 및 감시하기 위한 각 모듈들은 JAVA로 제작하여 산업 현장에서의 원격감시 및 제어 시스템의 적용 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The integration of deburring robots into product quality and productivity impact the industrial. In this paper the intelligent system of robotic deburring is proposed integrated with robot system, image processing system, force sensor system and host PC. The size, position, recognition of burr is determined by the information that the image processing system processed. The feed velocity of cutting tool is controlled by the information that the force sensor system processed. The integration of these information can remove the uncertainty of the information of deburring on the cutting path. The result of these technologies is useful for the development of the factory automation and automatic inspection equipments.
