  • Trajectory planning is a key technology for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to achieve complex flight missions. In this paper, a terminal constraints conversion-based Gauss pseudospectral trajectory planning optimization method is proposed. Firstly, the UAV trajectory planning mathematical model is established with considering the boundary conditions and dynamic constraints of UAV. Then, a terminal constraint handling strategy is presented to tackle terminal constraints by introducing new penalty parameters so as to improve the performance index. Combined with Gauss-Legendre collocation discretization, the improved Gauss pseudospectral method is given in detail. Finally, simulation tests are carried out on a four-quadrotor UAV model with different terminal constraints to verify the performance of the proposed method. Test studies indicate that the proposed method performances well in handling complex terminal constraints and the improvements are efficient to obtain better performance indexes when compared with the traditional Gauss pseudospectral method.

  • Since optical delay line signal processing which utilizes optical fiber as delay line elements can provide high speed and broadband signal processing, the optical delay line signal processing has numerous applications. Recently, many research papers which optical delay line signal processing techniques are being applied to OCDMA are published. The author has published paper on the design method for optical fiber filters of lattice structure. However, the previous design method does not realize the transfer function all the time. It can be realized with constraints. In this paper, we propose the design method that can realize the transfer function all the time without any constraints for the optical fiber filter of lattice structure.

  • Purpose: Grain slurry diet are described as food obtained from ground grain paste. They serve as highly nutritious food for both adults and infants in Nigeria because of their immense nutritive and economical value. However, the production of these grain slurry diets is confronted with challenges that have hampered their commercialization. This study examines the trends and constraints of grain slurry food processing in Kaduna State. Methods: A survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire to elicit information from 192 selected processors, including both men and women. The survey was structured in line with the study objectives. The information was collated and synopsized into frequency distribution. Results: These findings revealed that 80% of the respondents processed between 1.0 tons and 13.0 tons of grain slurry per month. More than 90% of the processors processed grain slurry into koko, kunu, agidi, and pito. Accordingly, 80% of the interviewed processors indicated that sieving is one of the major constraints. Furthermore, inadequate modern machinery required to perform this operation makes it highly discouraging. One of the major challenges faced by the grain slurry producers in Nigeria is the lack of processing machinery for most operations (39.1%), followed by the tedious processing nature (27.1%), high labor cost (18.1%), and lack of market (9.4%). The traditional method of grain slurry processing was more popular than using modern equipment, except milling (96.5%), which is the only mechanized unit operation in grain slurry processing. Conclusion: Grain slurry processing and marketing were found to be profitable. However, these limitations could extremely reduce the level of grain slurry production, processing, and economic returns, thereby affecting the general wellbeing of the processors. The study also raised concerns about the safety and hygiene associated with traditionally processed grain slurry diets in the investigated areas.

  • Timing Constraint Petri Nets(TCPN) extend petri nets by adding timing constraints, it is provide a formal method for the modeling and analysis of real-time system. A real-time schedulability analysis decide that a set of concurrent processes will always meet its deadline. In this paper, we present TCPN model for real-time system include timing constraints and propose a schedulability analysis algorithm using them. Also, When the TCPN model is unscheduleable under the imposed timing constraints, we propose a recovery technique that will be scheduleable by the system specification modifying or timing constraints relaxing in the optimized time.

  • Recently, a method for robust time reversal focusing has been introduced to extend the period of stable focusing in time-dependent ocean environments [S. Kim et al., J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 114, 145-157, (2003)]. In this study, concept of focal-size broadening based on waveguide invariant theory in an ocean time reversal acoustics is described. It is achieved by imposing the multiple location constraints. The signal vector used in multiple location constraints are found from the theory on waveguide invariant for frequency band corresponding the extended focal range. The broadening of foci in an ocean waveguide can play an important role in the application of time reversal processing, particularly to the underwater acoustic communication with moving vehicles. The proposed method is demonstrated in the context of the underwater acoustic communication from the transmit/receive array (TRA) to a slowly moving vehicle.

  • Because of the rapid increase of mobile traffic, flexible broadband supportive unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based 6G mobile networks using free space optical (FSO) links have been recently proposed. Considering the advancements made in UAVs, big data processing, and artificial intelligence precision control technologies, the formation of an additional wireless network based on UAV aerial platforms to assist the existing fixed base stations of the mobile radio access network is considered a highly viable option in the near future. In this paper, a combined time bound optimization scheme is proposed that can adaptively satisfy the control and communication time constraints as well as the processing time constraints in FSO-based 6G UAV aerial networks. The proposed scheme controls the relation between the number of data flows, input data rate, number of worker nodes considering the time bounds, and the errors that occur during communication and data processing. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is very effective in satisfying the time constraints for UAV control and radio access network services, even when errors in communication and data processing may occur.

  • The development of computer integrated systems for structural design requires models to describe and organize information and activities involved in design. An entity-based integrated design model involves a number of product and process entities. Product entities and process entities describe design information and design activities, respectively. One type of relationships among entities is interaction relationships, which describe interdependencies among design information. The interaction relationships can be represented as constraints. Types of constraints include demand constraints, dependency constraints, and interaction constraints. The concepts of representing and processing demand constraints in an entity-based integrated design model are presented.

  • Honorific forms express the speaker's social attitude to others and also indicate the social ranks and level of intimacy of the participants in the discourse. In a cross-linguistic perspective of grammar engineering, modelling honorification has been regarded as a key strategy for improving language processing applications. Using the HPSG and MRS formalism, this article provides a multilingual grammar model of honorification. The present study incorporates the honorific information into the Meaning Representation System (MRS) via Individual Constraints (ICONS), and then conducts an evaluation to see if the model contributes to semantics-based language processing.
