파이프라인 데이터패스 자동 생성을 위한 상위수준 합성 시스템의 설계 (Design of a High-Level Synthesis System for Automatic Generation of Pipelined Datapath)

  • This paper describes the design of a high-level synthesis system. SODAS-VP. which automatically generates hardwares executing operation sequences in pipelined fashion.Target architecture and clocking schemes to drive pipelined datapath are determined, and the handling of pipeline hazards which degrade the performance of pipeline is considered. Partitioning of an operation into load, operation, and store stages, each of which is executed in partitiones control step, is performend. Pipelinecl hardware is generated by handling pipeline hazards with internal forwarding or delay insertion techniques in partitioning process and resolving resource conflicts among the partitioned control steps with similarity measure as a priority function in module allocation process. Experimental results show that SODAS-VP generates hardwares that execute faster than those generated by HAL and ALPS systems. SODAS-VP brings improvement in execution speed by 17.1% and 7.4% comparing with HAL and ALPS systems for a MCNC benchmark program, 5th order elliptical wave filter,respectively.

파이로 공정장치의 원격 취급성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Remote Handling Performance for Pyroprocessing Facilities)

  • In this study, it is performed that the assessment of feasibility of developed material processing facilities using tele-operation manipulator system for the pyroprocessing. To evaluate the performance of developed facilities using tele-operation system, several performance indices are considered as remote visibility, remote reachability and remote manipulability. These are applied to RHEM (Remote Handling Evaluation Mock-up) and digital mock-up system respectively. Through this approaches, several requirements for the system improvement are deduced and preliminary inspection for real system application is fully performed. Additionally, assembly and disassembly tasks for the repair of remote handling system are also examined remotely in RHEM and evaluated those performances.

  • 본 논문은 통신 네트워크 운용관련 민감도 측정에 관한 연구를 위해 네트워크 운용 적정비용 산출 및 효율화 방안을 제안하였다. 통신 네트워크 운용효율화를 위해 네트워크 운용 효율성 측정을 위한 모형을 개발하였다. 전반적/포괄적 관점에서 산출된 네트워크 운용의 적정비용에 대해 품질수준 개선을 위한 요소, 고객만족도 관련 요소 등과의 연계성을 중심으로 재평가하고 개선하는 것이 본 논문의 가장 핵심적인 연구이다. 이러한 과정은 네트워크 운용의 가장 큰 부분을 차지하는 것이 품질관련 활동이고 품질관련 활동은 결국 고객만족도로 나타나게 되는 것이기 때문에, 각 요소별 개별적인 변화가 상호간에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 상관관계를 정립하여 민감도 측정을 바탕으로 네트워크운용비용을 산출하는 것이 진정한 의미의 적정수준 분석이라 할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 네트워크 운용에 대한 체계적인 모형의 구축 및 효율성 측정을 위한 다양한 시나리오에 따른 민감도 측정을 위한 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • Grinding process takes a long time that grinding machine is setted properly. It is difficult for user to judge correctly the abnormal states generated in grinding process. Air grinding has to be reduced for the improvement of productivity. In addition, it is important to monitor the dressing and the grinding process so that the grinding working maintains optimal grinding conditions. In this study, the monitoring system using the acoustic emission is developed to monitor these processes continuously. This system was able to reduce the preparation as well as the machine setting time in grinding operation.

A Study on Pilots' Behavior on Decision of Maneuvering Aircraft for Fuel Efficient Flight Operation

  • The response to climate change of international air transport industry might be initiated by ICAO's CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) which will impact on international airlines' flight operation behavior in the future. Though the airlines' efforts to reduce fuel consumption has been a major issue in economics of aviation industry, the improvement of fuel efficiency in flight operation will have additional impact on their profitability by introducing carbon emission cost. The fuel consumption in flight operation will be somewhat influenced by pilots' technical action for maneuvering aircraft during flight operation. This study will investigate pilots' behavior on decision for tactical aircraft control for mission flight. The data will be collected by the survey through sample pilots asking about their intention and perception on fuel savings during flight operations. The data will be analyzed by AHP process and the study will find out the elements and factors influencing pilots' behavior on technical decision of flight and their weights on fuel saving effects.

  • This research presents efficient operation schemes that is emphasized on mailing center's automation parts. We utilized the automation indicator to analyzed the mailing center system. For automation of the mailing center, we proposed the sorting automation alternative of registered mail, automation of conveyance system between workshops and the Up-Grade scheme for process improvement in mailing center. The selection of the registered mailing f s automation alternatives is composed of the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Through the analysis of the space and the quantity of materials, the simulation experiments are conducted to examine conveyance equipment possibility of the mailing center. By simplifying the mailing center conceptually, we proposed the upgrade of process for the mailing center system. The result of this research can give some ideas to people who are formulating a policy for the mailing center operation.

환경부의 체험환경교육 프로그램 지원 사업 개선 방안 연구 (Research on Improving the Supporting System for Experiential Environmental Education Programs Funded by Ministry of Environment)

  • The Ministry of Environment supports environmental education mainly in two ways ; one is by supporting schools engaged in environment conservation model school and the other is by extending grants for experiential environmental education programs. This research aims to evaluate the current status of grant for experiential environmental education programs while proposing possible improvement for constructive and continuing development of the support measures. Grant for experiential environmental education programs is divided into two areas of grant for schools and grant for community-based civil organizations. The diagnosis and evaluation were conducted in terms of 7 areas, such as time, facilities, programs, manpower (professional expertise), operation, administrative and financial support mechanism and others. Research process involved the review of previous studies in 2001 and 2003, comparison of the grant program with other grants in and out of Korea for environment education, and the following areas considered when identifying improvement options: i) Overall review of objectives and operations, ii) expansion supports programs oriented problem solving as well as those focused ecological sensitivity, iii) change from expendable, one-time program to productive, continuous program, iv) link to social changes and issues, v) principles for operation and evaluation, vi) criteria and methods for program selection and evaluation, and vii) improving operation system. Based on review and the overall evaluation on the experiential environmental education program grant, the recommendation for improving operation system were provided, which included stages of passive improvement, active improvement and building infrastructure for environment education, and building capacity of the members related in the initiatives.

  • The applicability of a new method, termed the whirling motion concept, for the improvement of the surface finish in milling three-dimensional sculptured surfaces has been investigated. A method for implementing this concept o conventional NC machines that utilize a suitably configured attachment has been proposed. The tool path equation for the ball-end milling process, based on the surface-shaping system, has been obtained. Both results of the computer simulation and the experiment verified the proposed approach.

  • This study deals with the procedure of safety improvement, productivity increase ,and tact-time reduction through setting up the system about preventive maintenance. Actually, it is hard to establish and carry out preventive maintenance, even though we recognize the importance of the system concerning time, cost, labor, and so forth. In this study in the viewpoint of cost we are for achieving maximum efficiency by change and reduction of planning process adapted to the special work group. At first we briefly will mention the kind ,the necessity ,and the concept of preventive maintenance ,and then divide the equipment used in the assembly line into the two whether it is necessary or not by way of estimating the breakdown loss ,comparing with general establishment of preventive maintenance and modifying it to the case. At the second step we will establish the operation system of plan management related to production and quality in the special case. Check period and category will be set by dividing the assembly equipment into LCL and Focus in the third step. The forth step will contain the operation procedure in detail. And then we must make check and repair record periodically. Finally, on the basis of the record the selection of checking of significance will be conducted. This results in safety improvement, tact time reduction, and productivity improvement.
