This study deals with the procedure of safety improvement, productivity increase, and tact-time reduction through setting up the system about preventive maintenance. Actually, it is hard to establish and carry out preventive maintenance, even though we recognize the importance of the system concerning time, cost, labor, and so forth. In this study in the viewpoint of cost we are for achieving maximum efficiency by change and reduction of planning process adapted to the special work group. At first we briefly will mention the kind, the necessity, and the concept of preventive maintenance, and then divide the equipment used in the assembly line into the two whether it is necessary or not by way of estimating the breakdown loss, comparing with general establishment of preventive maintenance and modifying it to the case. At the second step we will establish the operation system of plan management related to production and quality in the special case. Check period and category will be set by dividing the assembly equipment into LCL and Focus in the third step. The forth step will contain the operation procedure in detail. And then we must make check and repair record periodically. Finally, on the basis of the record the selection of checking of significance will be conducted. This results in safety improvement, tact time reduction, and productivity improvement.

In this study, we have analyzed the running performance of Mugungwha coach in curves to grasp the problems relating to this coach's curving performance and present improvement plans. Simulations and tests to analyze curving performances are carried out, and through this Process we could prepare a plan to improve the running performance in operation.

The purpose of this research is to provide the data base for the activation of Quality Improvement operation through investigating the status of Quality Improvement operation, and finding out factors influencing on the goal-orientation of QI performers in the medical centers of more than one hundred beds where are practicing Quality Improvement operation. In order to reach the purpose, document study was carried out grounded on the proceeding researches and formulated statistical data in relation with the status of Quality Improvement performers, and proof study was carried out through questionnaire survey. The subjects of the survey were the Quality Improvement performers working in seventy three medical centers in Pusan-Gyeongnam, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, and Ulsan. Among eighty three Quality Improvement performers, fifty, five were questionnaire surveyed, on the result of which Reliability Analysis, Factor Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis were made, using statistical program. The the results of the proof analysis on this research are as follows. First, in the factors influencing the devoting to goal pursuit of QI performers, organization-goal contribution(0.44) had significant positive effects, while organization conflict(-0.25) had significant negative effects. In other words, the higher the organization-goal contribution was, the higher the devoting to goal pursuit was, while the less the organization conflict was, the higher the devoting to goal pursuit was, which was statistically significant.(p<0.05). Second, in the aspect of goal performance types of QI performers, the process-centered type showed high level of the devoting to goal pursuit, which was statistically significant.(p<0.05). Third, in the aspect of QI performance degree, the higher the devoting to goal pursuit was, the higher the QI performance degree was, which was statistically significant.(p<0.05). In addition, the performers who perceived their workplaces organic structure showed much higher QI performance degree, which statistically significant.(p<0.05). Generalizing the results of this research, it is possible to offer a few suggestions as follows. First, as the competition among the medical centers is more severe recently owing to medical center evaluation system, medical centers are practicing various Quality Improvement operation in all of medical services such as clinical performance and management performance, to reach the purpose of both cost-cutting and medical quality improvement. Thus in order to practice Quality Improvement operation more efficiently in medical centers, it is essential to nuke use of problem-solving methods and statistical members. This as the willingness of chief executives and positive attitude and recognition of organization members. This requires the installation of divisions in charge and disposition of persons in charge, not to speak of persistent training of Quality Improvement. Second, the divisions in charge of QI carry out Quality Improvement operation at the medical center level, and take the role of generalizing and adjusting QI performances of various departments. Owing to this role, the division in charge of QI is considered indispensable organization in the QI operation of medical centers along with medical QI committee, while it contributes to the government's goal of reducing quality level gaps among medical centers. Therefore it is necessary for government and QI organizations to give institutional support and resources for the sake of QI operation of medical centers, besides to supply systematic trainning and informations to the divisions and persons in charge of QI. Third, it is certain that disposition of persons in charge should be determined in view of the scale and the scope of QI operation in medical centers.

This paper is to measure the sensitivity of relations in communication network operation. In order to procure an important adequacy in the network operation and quality improvement, it is necessary to increase network operation efficiency and analyze the characteristic of network operation. Finally, we analyze costing appropriate operation, propose profit increase scheme and apply realistic business. First of all it's important to improve and estimate a proper operating cost thoroughly and comprehensively. Because the important issue of this process is quality process and this quality process occurs customers' satisfaction, therefore, to make a mutual relation in-between individual change of each element is to analyze a reasonable standard. So, for this reason we study on structuring nice models for network operation and estimating many scenarios for measuring efficiency. Especially those in economic and sensitivity based.

The SBA Integrated Information system is constructed and operated for scientific and systematic management of Defense information utilizing whole process of weapon system acquisition from requirement institution to operation maintenance. In order to utilize m&s resources actively and effectively in the life cycle of weapon system acquisition, efficient management plans of the SBA integrated Information system is required. As a result of identifying usage on SBA Information system and performance of operation performance measurement, it was defined that establishment of the SBA Integrated Information system process and provision of detailed system are mandatory for activating m&s resource and supporting process of acquisitions. In this study, Defense m&s information system is analyzed and improvement plans of SBA Integrated Information system is provided for efficient operation of SBA integrated Information system.

In the present study, we developed a methodology to minimize a waste solution produced in the etching process. The condition for the optimization of the GRS process was studied on the basis of laboratory experiment and field test as well as pilot test. Through the study, we analyse the relation of the main process variables and the yield of the GRS process. The application of the new operation condition and the reactor internal modification results in 10% yield improvement in the GRS process and accordingly decreases a wasted solution.

One of the basic tasks in the automobile manufacturing process is to design a bare chassis, which is the basic frame of a vehicle, and a bracket is a member connecting various devices to the frame. Bracket, which is a member connecting the engine, transmission, and suspension, which are the core devices of driving and operating the vehicle, to the frame, must maintain safety during vehicle operation. If the bracket connecting the various devices constituting the vehicle to the frame does not have durability, serious accidents may occur during operation of the vehicle. In this study, we performed stress analysis on the brackets installed in the bare chassis of the 25-passenger bus in the development stage. Based on the stress analysis performed, an improved bracket dimension was proposed.

This study provides an application of datamining approach to CQI(Continuous Quality Improvement) using the discharge summary. First, we found a process variation in hospital infection rate by SPC (Statistical Process Control) technique. Second, importance of factors influencing hospital infection was inferred through the decision tree analysis which is a classification method in data-mining approach. The most important factor was surgery followed by comorbidity and length of operation. Comorbidity was further divided into age and principal diagnosis and the length of operation was further divided into age and chief complaint. 24 rules of hospital infection were generated by the decision tree analysis. Of these, 9 rules with predictive prover greater than 50% were suggested as guidelines for hospital infection control. The optimum range of target group in hospital infection control were Identified through the information gain summary. Association rule, which is another kind of datamining method, was performed to analyze the relationship between principal diagnosis and comorbidity. The confidence score, which measures the decree of association, between urinary tract infection and causal bacillus was the highest, followed by the score between postoperative wound disruption find postoperative wound infection. This study demonstrated how datamining approach could be used to provide information to support prospective surveillance of hospital infection. The datamining technique can also be applied to various areas fur CQI using other hospital databases.

This study attempts to develop indices in order to make an objective and effective evaluation of achievements in the first stage of operation of the Rural Village Development Project(RVDP) (the first 3 years of its operation). The results are as follows 1. Evaluation purposes are expansion of income-generating bases, improvement of living environments, strengthening of village's competence and establishment of an effective project's management system. 2. Evaluation items for the first three evaluation purposes, which are income-generating bases, improvement of living environments and strengthening of village's competence, are record of performance and substantiality in project's operation, results from operation, and capability in managing the project. Those for establishment of an effective project's management system are participation of habitants and the projects's management system. 3. As this study aims to develop the indices which can evaluate the state of operation in the interim of the project's operation and outcomes generated by then, the evaluation indices are selected by considering those criterions of representativeness, accessibility, usefulness and reliability. 4. As the indices developed in this study efficiency evaluate the process of project's operation and thus evaluate basically the project's operation on the basis of its efficiency. But, considering the purposes of the RVDP, it is included for the overall project's management system and plans for managing activities of the project to be evaluated on the basis of effectiveness.

Because of the number and complicate relationship, it is difficult to improve the processes and activities in a company. The continuous improvement for ISO 9001, we introduced IDEF Model for re-engineering the ISO9000 Process. A valve maker was selected as a sample company, and we confirmed that several processes can be reduced and several processes can newly be added for effective and more practical operation of a company.
