A successful, computer-aided design support system can help a process designer focus on making effective design decisions, not merely tedious routine calculations. Such a system is essential to enhance quality of design in terms of economics, environmental benignity, reliability, robustness, and operability. Such a statement is even more accepted when applied to conceptual design problems, where gross design specifications are given while a combinatorial number of design alternatives exists. This paper presents an agent-based approach as a systematic and efficient way to design a design support system for the synthesis of conceptual chemical processes. An agent-based approach allows us to handle design knowledge as an object and thus greatly improve the modularity and reusability of that knowledge. Such modularity and reusability lead to the increased productivity in the development of a design support system and the increased ease in the relaxation of design decisions and the generation of design alternatives, both of which functions are critically important in dealing with the complexity and uncertainty of conceptual design problems.

ChatGPT has had a significant impact on society, business, and academia by influencing individuals and organizations through knowledge generation and supporting users in locating conversational inquiries and answers. It can transform how people seek answers by combining human-like conversational skills with AI. By eradicating the cumbersome process of selecting from multiple options, users can conduct preliminary research or create optimized solutions. The purpose of this research is to investigate how consumers use ChatGPT and digital transformation, specifically in terms of knowledge development, searching and recommending, and optimizing accessible possibilities. Using many linked theories, we address the potential implications and insights that can be gained from ChatGPT's early stages and its integration with other applications such as robotics, service automation, and the metaverse. Finally, the application of ChatGPT has practical, theoretical, and phenomenological impacts, in addition to improving users' experiences.

This paper deals with development of a Computer Aided Process Planning System based on knowledge base in addition to database for injection mold as a part of Computer Integrated Manufacturing System for injection mold manufacture. The prposed system consists of four modules such as manufacturing feature code generation module machine tool selection and sequencing module, operation and cutting tool selection mudule and standard time estimation module. The system is programmed by using Turbo Pascal on the IBM-PC/AT. The performance of the system is evaluated by using real problems and the test results indicate that the proposed system is a practical and efficient system.

This paper describes the initial hull form design process which generate a hull form using a neurofuzzy modeling. Neurofuzzy system is to combine the merits of fuzzy inference system and neural networks. Therefore it has structured knowledge representations as well as adaptive capacities. Initial hull form design stage is the process which generate an adoptable hull form from the limited design information and multi-decidions condidering correlations with design factors. It can be assidted efficiently by neurofuzzy system. This paper suggests two methods of an initial hull form generation using the neurofuzzy modeling and B-spline theory. and examines the usefulness of suggested method through its application examples.

비즈니스 프로세스 인텔리전스(BPI)는 지식의 발견 및 분석 분야의 새로운 기술로서, BPM 기반 조직에 관련된 지식을 발견하고 이를 분석하기 위한 기술들을 말한다. BPI를 통해, 프로세스 기반 조직의 지식을 제어, 모니터링, 예측, 최적화할 수 있게 되는데, 본 논문에서는 특정 비즈니스 프로세스 모델에 참여하는 수행자들과 업무들간의 소속 관계를 나타내는 BPM 업무-수행자 소속성 네트워크 지식에 초점을 맞춘다. 즉, 본 논문에서는 BPM 업무-수행자 소속성 네트워크 지식을 위한 통계 분석 기법을 제안하며, 이를 업무-수행자 대응 분석 기법이라 정의한다. 제안하는 대응 분석 기법의 과정은 이분 행렬을 생성하고, 이에 대한 대응 분석 결과를 가시화하는 과정으로 구성되며, 이를 통해 비즈니스 프로세스 모델 또는 비즈니스 프로세스 패키지에 소속되는 수행자 그룹과 업무 그룹간의 연관 관계를 분석할 수 있다. 결론적으로, 제안하는 업무-수행자 대응 분석 기법을 통해 BPM 기반 조직을 위한 비즈니스 프로세스 모델 또는 비즈니스 프로세스 패키지의 계획 및 설계 과정에서, 업무와 수행자간의 연관 관계를 고려하여, 인적 자원 할당의 효과성과 효율성을 제고할 것이라 기대된다.

Further research needs in environmental carcinogenesis are much to be desired. Currently, the methodology for identification, quantitation, and assay of some environmental carcinogens is available, but there remains a pressing need for additional fundamental knowledge of the carcinogenic process at the molecular level. The best hope for the control of cancer lies in prevention and chemotherapy, and this in turn depends upon the generation of basic information not yet available. The history of medical science reveals that quantum advances in control and prevention of disease have been direct consequences of research applications derived from pools of existing knowledge. It is hoped that the major efforts on specific problems of eivironmental carcinogenesis and substantial support of research to obtain new knowledge will prove to be equally rewarding.

The author analyses the challenging activities of Japanese libraries in this decade by launching two keywords; "product-sharing" and "outcome generation." "Product-sharing" means that libraries share knowledge, skills, and records which are produced as the result of the services or in the process of activities. And "outcome generation" means that libraries generate any efficiency or effectiveness through their services to users. Using these concepts, reported are the current situation and aspects of Japanese libraries which try to make various contributions to the society; research and learning of the people, and education and training for professional librarians, and so on. In the analysis, the author shows some examples of "product-sharing" at first, including the records of reference transaction and the multi-functioned online public access catalogue. Especially, focused is on the various possibility and adoptability of the Collaborative Reference Database System of the National Diet Library of Japan. This system is one of digital reference service in Japan, and the database of reference transaction records is expected to be useful for research and academic studyies as knowledge-base of professional librarians. And the system is also expected to be a platform for LIS education and professional development in the e-learning environment. Secondly, as the examples of "outcome generation", explained are the problem-solving-type activities, and provision of the collection about books on struggling against disease and illness. A few examples of outcome in the problem-solving-type activities are these; increase of sales in the services for shop managers, business persons, and entrepreneurs, contribution to affluent daily life by providing the local information services to residents and neighbourhoods, and etc. And for both the patients with serious cases and their family or those who nurse them, books about other persons' notes or memorandum are the greatest support, and sometime healing. The author discuss the 'raison d'etre' of these activities focusing on public libraries in Japan.

This study reports the first step in the Classification-based Search and Knowledge Discovery (CSKD) project, which aims to combine information organization and retrieval approaches for building digital library applications. In this study, we explored the generation and application of a faceted vocabulary as a potential mechanism to enhance knowledge discovery. The faceted vocabulary construction process revealed some heuristics that can be refined in follow-up studies to further automate the creation of faceted classification structure, while our concept search application demonstrated the utility and potential of integrating classification-based approach with retrieval-based approach. Integration of text- and classification-based methods as outlined in this paper combines the strengths of two vastly different approaches to information discovery by constructing and utilizing a flexible information organization scheme from an existing classification structure.

This paper describes the effort for the development of an actual wind simulation method on the wind turbine performance evaluation. It should be emphasized that the deep knowledge on real wind field is a key factor for both the design of a wind turbine and the performance evaluation. With this reason, there had been several simulation attempts to accurately match with the actual wind data. With an existing wind generation algorithm is under consideration, this study introduces several more new concepts including Van der Hoven spectrum being implemented in different methodology. Also this paper will compare the result from the wind simulations by using the basic formula with that by using MATLAB and SIMULINK previously developed. In addition, like the existing wind generation algorithm, random process for actual wind field simulation and white noise are incorporated to closely produce the actual wind field models.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a CAD/CAM system for generation of designing and manufacturing information such as total drawing sub-assembly drawing, part drawing detail drawing part list and NC data for machining by CNC lathe were CUT machining center. Through this study the CAD/CAM system for deep drawing transfer die in mechanical press process has been developed The developed CAD system can generate the drawings of transfer die in mechanical press. Using these results from CAD system. it can generate NC data to machine die's elements on the CAD system. This system can reduce design man-hours and human errors. In order to construct the system it is used to automate the design process using knowledge base system. The developed system is based on the knowledge base system which is involved a lot of expert's empirical knowhow in the practice field. Using AutoLISp language under the Auto CAD system. CTK customer language of SmartCAM is used as the overall CAD/CAM environment. Results of this system will be provide effective aids to the designer and manufacturer in this field
