  • A studies wish to present safety assessment table that is consisted of safety check-up, safety education, safety management for worker's safety management assessment about unit process. And safety management level was survey through case study that use safety assessment table. Safety management assessment table is improved safety management level of unit process, and is developed safety management system by worker confirms assessment items and improves problem.

  • A study wish to present relation of safety characteristic deployment, which has the safety demand, safety characteristic, protection characteristic, safety regulation, safety education of unit work process.   • Since 1986, domestic sewage treatment plants have installed and operated biogas plants that produce biogas (digested gas) using food, livestock manure and sewage sludge as part of the use of alternative energy for energy independence. Despite concerns about safety accidents and risks of large-scale accidents due to the continuous expansion of biogas plants, the Ministry of Environment has managed and supervised biogas plants to be environmental plants, focusing on environmental management. There is a lack of safety awareness of workers' processes. Only recently has the process safety management (PSM) system been implemented in biogas plants, but workers' perceptions of process safety have changed. As there is a difference in the degree of safety process management and safety awareness among workers, it is necessary to establish clear and systematic safety management standards. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to examine whether the application of the plant safety management (PSM) system to biogas plants is effective for workers' safety awareness in order to ensure safe operation of biogas plants and prevent workers' safety accidents in advance.

  • Safety check-up and individual education, safety status wishes to present included safety assessment table for safety management assessment system construction about unit work process in Study.   • Design of manufacturing process, in general, facilitates the creation of new process that may potentially harm the workers. Design of safety-guaranteed manufacturing process is, therefore, very important since it determines the ultimate outcomes of manufacturing activities involving safety of workers. This study discusses application of discrimination information (cross entropy) to safety assessment of manufacturing processes. The idea is based on the general principles of design and their applications. An example of Cartesian robotic movement is given.

  • The "3+3 Process" for safety critical software for nuclear power plants' I&C (Instrumentation and Control system) has been developed in this work. The main idea of the "3+3 Process" is both to simplify the software development and safety analysis in three steps to fulfill the requirements of a software safety plan [1]. The "3-Step" software development process consists of formal modeling and simulation, automated code generation and coverage analysis between the model and the generated source codes. The "3-Step" safety analysis consists of HAZOP (hazard and operability analysis), FTA (fault tree analysis), and DV (design validation). Put together, these steps are called the "3+3 Process". This scheme of development and safety analysis minimizes the V&V work while increasing the safety and reliability of the software product. For assessment of this process, validation has been done through prototyping of the SDS (safety shut-down system) #1 for PHWR (Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor).

  • Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have attracted much interest for their high energy density (>150 mAh/g), high capacity, low self-discharge rate, and high coulombic efficiency. However, with the successful commercialization of LIBs, fire and explosion incidents are likely to increase. The thermal runaway is known as the major factor in battery-related accidents that can lead to a series of critical conditions. Considering this, recent studies have shown an increased interest in countering the safety issues associated with LIBs. Although safety standards for LIB use have recently been formulated, little attention has been paid to the safety around the manufacturing process for battery products. The present study introduces a risk assessment method suitable for assessing the safety of the LIB-manufacturing process. In the assessment method, a compensation parameter (Z-factor) is employed to correctly evaluate the process's safety on the basis of the type of material (e.g., metal anode, liquid electrolyte, solid-state electrolytes) utilized in a cell. The proposed method has been applied to an 18650 cell-manufacturing process, and three sub-processes have been identified as possibly vulnerable parts (risk index: >4). This study offers some crucial insights into the establishment of safety standards for battery-manufacturing processes.

  • The process of panel line in the shipyard produce the panel of outside planking which is located the side and bottom of a ship. The stiffeners or plates are welded onto the plates in this process. In this study, the panel line was performed to work process analysis and was analyzed into the IDEF0(Integration Definition) model that is functional modeling methodology. Also the panel line was analyzed to find out the risk factor and expected accident/safety guide from each process. And then this outputs were applied to the IDEF0 model. The mobile application which is designed by ooCBD(Object-oriented Component Based Development) method is able to use the output data of the process analysis in the panel line. This mobile application could be used by employees and safety managers without regard for working location and time.

  • A research on accident loss calculation for polyol process without safety management activities, and safety cost estimation using process risk assessment has been implemented. In order to estimate a magnitude of loss, accident scenarios were made by combining result made from HAZOP Study method with accident possibility analysis results implemented with FTA. Also effect assessment was implement for accident consequence of each scenario. And minimum possible loss cost has been calculated when safety investment do or not. Result from cost-benefit analysis was shown as approximately \335 billion(=USS44,000 billion), as cost after subtracting safety management cost from minimum possible loss cost.
