진공 예압형 공기베어링의 특성 해석 (Analysis on characteristics of vacuum preloaded air bearing)

  • This paper presents characteristics of vacuum preloaded porous air bearing. Pressure distribution of a porous pad and vacuum pocket are calculated. And load capacity and stiffness of the bearing are analyzed with various vacuum parameters, that is. clearance height. tube diameter, tube length. pumping speed of vacuum pump, vacuum pocket to porous pad area ratio. From the simulation results, optimum clearance for best performance can be selected adjusting these parameters, especially tube diameter which is the most dominant source.

  • Recently rotating machines have became high speed and high Power and light weight. Bearings are one of the main components which influence power loss and stability of rotating machines. Appropriate bearing should be selected with considering characteristics of rotating machine. Floating ring journal bearing(FIB) consists of an inner film and outer film, and possess high damping and stability.   • Bearing information of target is used critically for target tracking in underwater environment. In passive sonar, target bearing measurements are obtained by processing the acoustic signal emanating from the target. PDA tracking algorithm is usually applied in this case since bearing measurements have several peaks due to interference with other acoustic sources or reflections from underwater media. In this paper, we propose a modified PDA algorithm adopting new probabilistic distributions of the number, position, and amplitude of peaks based on the analysis of real data. This algorithm is tested on real and artificially generated data. The computer simulation result shows improvement of the tracking performance.

  • From the analysis of shaft-bearing indeterminate system, moment and misalingment angle which was generated in bearing were determined. And the influence of span length between bearings on the fatigue life was established. The equation to estimate the cage rotational speed was proposed, and this equation was verified by the measuring of cage speed and shaft speed. And accoding to quasi-static analysis, the spinning speed of ball was determined.

  • In this paper the characteristics of Hydrostatic Bearing of piston of cylinder are investigated . The dynamic characteristic equations of piston considering both parallel and rotational motion and time dependent modified Reynolds Equation are analyzed and the dynamic pressure distribution of oil film is numerically calculated by perturbation method and finite difference method. and the atatic analysis is carried out. so, the influence of design parameter of piston on the characteristic of bearing is analyzed.

  • Static characteristics of hemispherical aerodynamic bearing is studied theoretically. In this paper nonlinear equation of second order considering compressibility and slip effect of air is calculated by Newton-Raphson method. Results indicate that axial load capacity has maximum value when the inclination angle of groove is about 30$\circ$, the ratio of groove clearance to ridge clearance is two. We also present the design method of hemispherical Aerodynamic bearing based on it's load capacity taking into account manufacturing and assembling viewpoint.

  • Optimal control systems for a radial magnetic bearing are proposed and tested. An electromagnet system model is developed to predict bearing forces as functions of changing coil currents and rotor position. Models of the multi-mass rotor supported by the magnetic bearings are developed and confirmed, and theoretical relationships are expressed in the form of state equation. As a result of computer simulation, the state feedback with optimal procedure is considered to be more effective for magnetic bearing systems than the classical method.

  • The Variation of die bearing is primary way to control the metal flow in hot square die extrusion process. Finite element computations are carried out to assess the influence of die bearing on metal flow and state variables. The finit element method is developed based on ALE description for a rigid-viscoplastic material. Since thermal state computational example, hot square die extrusion with varied die bearing lengths has been analyzed for the profile of a L-section.

  • The design and performance verification of collocated capacitance sensor system for magnetic bearing is presented. Noncollocation between actuators and sensors may cause unstable rotor behavior. The capacitance sensor is not affected by magnetic field. PCB type capacitance sensor is installed between magnetic bearing polse. so, collocation of sensors and actuators can be achieved. Experiment of sensor's static and dynamic charactistics is conducted. Modeling of the rotor system supported by magnetic bearing is made. And performance comparison between simulation and experiment is showed.

  • There are many advantages of the Magnetic Bearing system, compared with conventional contacting bearing systems. Since the spindle in the Magnetic Bearing system is levitated by electro-magnetic forces and rotates without mechanical friction, it can run without lubrication. So, it can run in the extreme circumstances, e.g. a vacuum condition in the space.
