A Study on the Development of a MOOC Design Model

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a MOOC design model that would improve the current practice of MOOC development in Korea by specifying easy-to-use course development procedures and guiding strategies. Following Richey and Klein (2007)'s conceptual model development procedure, the first step was to perform critical review of relevant literature and observe typical MOOC development processes. As a result, the initial model was developed. The second step was to conduct the expert review with five educational technology and MOOC researchers to secure the internal validity of the model. Based on the experts' suggestions, the model was revised and once again reviewed by the same experts. This process resulted in the development of the 2nd version of model. The third step was to carry out external validation research in order to test the effectiveness, efficiency, and usability of the model. A basic model may be confirmed or corrected based on examination of its results. Consequently, the model was elaborated as the final model. In the final model, 6 procedural phases and 9 specific steps were included. The six procedural phases are: Analysis (1st Iteration), Design, Development (Course Development), Implementation, Evaluation, and Analysis (2nd Iteration), a slight variation of ADDIE model. The specific steps include: 1) Goal Setting, 2) Environment Analysis, 3) Content Design, 4) Style Design, 5) Course Development, 6) Implementation Plan, 7) Course Implementation, 8) Summative Evaluation, and 9) Need Reflection. The study concluded with suggestions for further research and application of the MOOC design model.

  • The main objectives of this paper are as follows: 1) identifying th procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and, 2) analyzing the relationship between those characteristics and MIS performance. Three stages and thirty core tasks of the application software package acquisition process were identified after reviewing relevant literature. The model specifying the relationship between procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and MIS performance was established and 12 hypotheses were derived. Data were collected form 41 Korean companies and hypotheses were tested empirically.

유리의 미세, 방사상, 동심원 균열을 효율적으로 생성하기 위한 L-System 기반의 절차적 합성 방법 (L-System Based Procedural Synthesis Method to Efficiently Generate Dense, Radial, and Concentric Cracks of Glass)

  • 우리는 유리에 충격에 가해졌을 때 나타나는 복잡한 균열 생성 기법을 제안한다. 유리에 충격이 가해졌을 때 표현되는 균열 패턴은 미세(Dense), 방사상(Radial), 동심원(Concentric) 균열로 분류 할 수 있으며, 이 균열 패턴을 절차적 방법을 이용하여 효율적으로 표현한다. 외력이 발생하면 균열 예제 데이터를 기반으로 L-system을 응용하여 실시간으로 균열이 전파되는 모양을 합성한다. 물리 기반 균열 생성은 정확한 균열의 분석 및 모델링이 가능하지만 계산비용이 크기 때문에 계산속도가 느린 단점이 있으며, 절차적 방법은 비교적 빠른 계산 속도를 갖지만, 정확한 균열의 특징을 포착하기에는 충분하지 않다. 우리는 이 두 가지 장점을 모두 얻기 위해 L-system을 이용하여 유리의 균열을 모델링하고, 결과적으로 유리의 미세한 균열 패턴을 실시간 환경에서 사실적으로 표현한다.

조직공정성과 종업원 행동과의 관계: 최고경영자 및 상사에 대한 신뢰의 매개효과 (Organizational Justice and Employee Behaviors: The Mediating Roles of Trust in CEO and Supervisor)

  • 본 연구는 최고경영자신뢰와 상사신뢰를 구분하고, 이러한 신뢰의 유형이 조직공정성과 종업원 행동 간의 관계에 미치는 매개효과를 구조방정식모형으로 검증하였다. 국내 18개 회사 4,055명을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시하고 AMOS 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 분배공정성과 절차공정성 모두 상사신뢰보다 CEO신뢰에서 높은 상관을 보였다. 또한 CEO신뢰와 상사신뢰는 조직공정성과 종업원 행동 간의 관계를 완전매개 하였다. 특히 절차공정성은 분배공정성 보다 CEO신뢰와 상사신뢰에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 신뢰의 유형이 종업원 행동에 미치는 영향은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 미지막으로 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구의 학문적 의의 및 실무적 시사점 그리고 제한점과 미래연구 과제에 대해 논의하였다.

B2B 거래에서 공정성 인식, 브랜드자산 가치, 신뢰, 관계몰입과 장기지향성의 관계 (The Relationship among Justice Recognition, Brand Asset Value, Trust, Relation Commitment and Long-Term Orientation)

  • Purpose - This study focuses on long-term orientation that can lead long-term partnership. A long-term orientation needs a trust and relation commitment between company. So in this study, the researcher conducts a dependent variable as a justice recognition and brand asset value to research model to find out casual relationship among quoted factors. Research design, data, and methodology - The focus of this study was employees who work in a liquor distribution company to figure out factors that effect on long-term relationship in b2b transaction. The development of the research model is based on the literature of the preceding research analysis of justice recognition, brand asset value, trust, relation commitment and long-term orientation. This study have constructs that defined operationally by previous studies, research model design that to figuring casual relationships among the quoted factors. From 2016 Sep. 1st to Oct. 30th, a questionnaire survey was conducted targeting employees who work in liquor distribution company. 176 survey data were used for empirical analysis to prove the research hypotheses. Results - The main results of this study's empirical methodology were as follows. First, procedural justice and interactive justice has a positive significant effect on trust and relation commitment. Also brand image, brand awareness and perceived quality has a positive significant effect on trust and relation commitment. Second, trust and relation commitment has a positive significant effect on long-term orientation. Every hypothesis adopted as the researcher designed for empirical study. Conclusions - Based on empirical results, this study confirmed that trust and relation commitment has empirical relationship with long-term orientation. Based on the analysis, the researcher provided managerial implication by setting 2 way path for making long-term orientation with business company. First path is procedural justice to relation commitment. It contains that procedural justice recognised while business transaction execution, consideration intension and relation development will happen in b2b. Second path is perceived quality to trust. It contains that the perceived quality recognised while business transaction execution, trust will increase rapidly. So when a business company wants to make a partnership, they have to consider procedural justice and perceived quality to make a long-term relationship.

The Influence of Organizational Justice on Employees' Motivation to Participate in Training: A Quality System Perspective on Human Resource Practices

  • This study sought to examine the effect of three (distributive, procedural, and interactional) justice perceptions in predicting employees' motivation to participate in training activities. On the basis of theoretical linkages between the constructs, full mediation and partial mediation models by perceived benefits of training were developed. The models were tested using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) on responses from 302 employees of three wireless operators in the Republic of Korea. The results showed the partial-mediation model is a dominant model. It also confirmed that interactional justice directly influence motivation to participate in training, whereas procedural justice influence the variable through perceived benefits of training. Furthermore, limitations and implications of the current study and directions for future work are discussed.

가상 조경 생성을위한 디지털 잎 저작도구 개발 (Development of Digital Leaf Authoring Tool for Virtual Landscape Production)

  • 본 연구는 가상 조경을 구성하는 다양한 종류의 디지털 잎을 쉽고 직관적으로 제작할 수 있는 저작도구 개발방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 저작도구의 핵심 시스템은 영상 워핑기반의 잎몸 윤곽선 변형 방법, 잎맥의 절차적 모델링 그리고 잎의 색과 명암 등을 표현하기 위한 수리모델기반 시각화 방법으로 구성된다. 우선 잎 영상을 입력으로 받아 잎몸에 대한 윤곽선 정보를 찾고, 특징기반 영상 워핑을 활용하여 다양한 잎몸 형상을 직관적인 구조에서 쉽게 생성할 수 있는 잎몸 변형 방법을 설계한다. 그리고 계산된 잎몸 윤곽선을 기반으로 잎몸 형상에 적합한 자연스러운 잎맥 패턴을 생성하는 일반화된 절차적 모델링 방법을 저작도구에 맞게 구현한다. 마지막으로 약수 함수의 합성 기반의 수리모델을 활용하여 잎의 색, 명암 그리고 시간에 따른 변화를 표현할 수 있는 시각화 기능을 적용한다. 제안한 저작도구를 활용하여 제작된 디지털 잎이 다양한 3차원 디지털 콘텐츠 분야에 활용 가능하도록 텍스쳐 지원 기능을 제공한다.

초등학교 사회과의 환경 문제 해결과정 분석 및 수업 모형 개발 연구 - 환경 정의 개념을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Analysis of Environmental Problem Solving Process on the Elementary School Social Studies and Development of Instruction Model - Focus on the Environmental Justice -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop instruction model of environmental problem process focused with environmental justice. This study has analyzed environmental problem solution process in social studies of elementary school from 4th grade to 6th grade with it. The results of this study are as follows. First, social studies of elementary school didn't show distributive justice in environmental problem solving process. Second, procedural justice existed, but offered information is lacking to each main group. Third, substantive justice was emphasized personal viewpoint. We developed instruction model of environmental problem solving process based upon the results. Component of instruction model is problem analysis, distributive justice, procedural justice, substantive justice and evaluating a solution. Timely, teachers can use and can apply it in social studies class. In conclusion, it is strongly recommend to teach environmental education linked with environmental justice. It enables us enhance a new awareness and attitudes towards sustainable development.

스마트 디바이스를 위한 3D 파라메트릭 CAD 시스템 (A 3D Parametric CAD System for Smart Devices)

  • A 3D CAD system that can be used on a smart device is proposed. Smart devices are now a part of everyday life and also are widely being used in various industry domains. The proposed 3D CAD system would allow modeling in a rapid and intuitive manner on a smart device when an engineer makes a 3D model of a product while moving in an engineering site. There are several obstacles to develop a 3D CAD system on a smart device such as low computing power and the small screen of smart devices, imprecise touch inputs, and transfer problems of created 3D models between PCs and smart devices. The author discusses the system design of a 3D CAD system on a smart device. The selection of the modeling operations, the assignment of touch gestures to these operations, and the construction of a geometric kernel for creating both meshes and a procedural CAD model are introduced. The proposed CAD system has been implemented for validation by user tests and to demonstrate case studies using test examples. Using the proposed system, it is possible to produce a 3D editable model swiftly and simply in a smart device environment to reduce design time of engineers.
