The purpose of this study was to develop the dimension of hand pattern-making for Korean glove. The glove pattern-making has difficult problem in combination of anthropometric and engineering aspects. In addition, existing dimension data are not enough for glove pattern-making. Therefore, to develop the dimension for glove this study comprehensive list of candidate hand data was reviewed and the manufacturers(career over the 15 years) were interviewed on the method of glove. The result of comparing between the structures in hand and existing glove pattern, there draw deduction from follows. Pattern-making for glove need size of hand length, thumb length, index finger length, middle finger length, ring finger length, hand circumference, thumb-ring finger circumference and maximum hand thickness.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the process of experience toward decision making to donate organs. Method: Eleven subjects who registered at the Association for Organ Sharing in Korea were recruited. Using in-depth interviews and tape-recordings, data was collected from Jun. 2001 to Feb. 2002 and the contents of these were analyzed by Glaser's grounded theory analysis method. Result: Basic Social-Psychological Problem(BSPP) of subjects were 'attachment to body' and the core theme, that is Basic Socialization Progress(BSP) were discovered to 'find out what is the meaning of life'. Also it consisted of four steps: 1st 'hesitate', 2nd 'look into self', 3rd 'realize the tie up to self' and last 're-find the meaning of life'. Conclusion: These findings indicate the Korean's Basic Socialization Progress of decision making regarding organ donation, so possible development of promoting decision making is necessary strategies for people who is having his/her potential of organ donation in mind.

As knowledge has been recognized as a new resource in gaining organizational competitiveness, Knowledge Management (KM) is suggested as a method to manage and apply knowledge for business management. KM research, however, has focused on identifying, storing, and distributing the transaction-related knowledge in an organization. There has been little research on applying the knowledge to decision-making or strategy development that is the main task of business management. The application of knowledge to decision making has higher impact on organizational performance rather than just the knowledge management for process transaction. In this research, we suggest System Dynamics (SD) for the knowledge-based decision-making. Based on the modeling method of SD, we can translate partial and implicit knowledge resident in individual's mental model into organized explicit knowledge. The simulation test of the organized knowledge model enables decision-makers to understand the structure of the target problem and its behavior mechanism, which facilitates effective decision-making. We will compare the proposed method and other KM methods and discuss this research based on the application case to a real telecommunication company.

In recognizing knowledge as a new resource in gaining organizational competitiveness, knowledge management suggests a method in managing and applying knowledge for improving organizational performance. Much knowledge management research has focused on identifying, storing, and disseminating process related knowledge in an organized manner. Applying knowledge to decision making has a significant impact on organizational performance than solely processing transactions for knowledge management. In this research, we suggest a method of knowledge-based decision-making using system dynamics, with an emphasis to strategic problems. The proposed method transforms individual mental models into explicit knowledge by translating partial and implicit knowledge into an integrated knowledge model. The scenario-based test of the organized knowledge model enables decision-makers to understand the structure of the target problem and identify its basic cause, which facilitates effective decision-making. This method facilitates the linkage between knowledge management initiatives and achieving strategic goals and objectives of an organization.

The process of determining whether, when, where and how to intervene, of deciding on optimum allocation of resources and minimizing the cost is a very complex problem: different track sections tend to behave differently under the effects of loading; decision-making processes for maintenance work are closely interrelated technically and economically; decision-making for maintenance plans is based on a large quantity of technical and economic information, extensive knowledge and above all experience. For that reason, It is considered very important to develope objective and computer-aided decision-making support system for track maintenance plan. On this paper, we reviewed ECOTRACK system and present the plan of develope decision-making support system for track maintenance appropriate to local condition.

The Semantic Web technology, purporting to share, to reuse and to process by machines data stored in the Web environment, incessantly evolves to help human decision making; in particular, decision making based on data, or quantitative decision making. This trend drives researchers to fill the gap with strenuous efforts between the current state of the technology and the terminus of this evolution. The Semantic Web Constraint Language (SWCL) together with SWRL is one of these endeavors to achieve the goal. This paper focuses particularly on how to express the piecewise linear form in the context of SWCL. The importance of this ingredient can be fortified by the fact that any nonlinear expression can be approximated in the piecewise linear form. This paper will also provide the information of how it will work in the decision making process through an example of the Internet shopping mall problem.

The purpose of this study is to identify participation-types of the family in the purchasing decision-making on items of commodities (TV, refrigerator, furniture, passenger car, housing, vacation, saving, husbands’clothing and children’s clothing). The other thing is to find who is major factors in each of the decision-making stages(the recognition of problem, the searching of information, the evaluation of alternatives and purchasing) among the subjects of decision-making (husband, wife, couple combination and family combination). To complete the purpose, the data were collected through questionnaire which 549 wives living in Seoul answered. From the data, frequency, percentage and correspondence analysis were executed by SPSS. The results of this study were briefly summarized as follows; Wives played an important role on all of decision-making stages for refrigerator, furniture, children’s clothing and husbands’clothing. Husbands played an important role on vacation and passenger car. And in case of saving, TV and housing, couple combination played an important role. It means that wives have a major influence on the purchasing process.

Ship optimal design is a multi-objective decision-making process and its optimal solution does not exit in general. It is a problem in which the decision-maker is very interested that an effective solution is how to be found which has good characteristic and is substituted for optimal solution in a sense. In the previous methods of multi-objective decision-making, the weighting coefficients are decided from the point of view of individuals which have a bit sub-jective an unilateral behavior. in order to fairly and objectively decide the weighting coeffi-cients, which are considered to be optimal in all system of multi-objective decision-making and satisfactory solution to the decision-maker, the pater presents a method of applying the Technology of the Biggest Entropy. It is proved that the method described in the paper is very feasible and effective be means of a practical example of ship optimal design.

본 논문은 의사가 환자에 대해 의료행위를 수행할 때 발생되는 환자의 질병에 대해 최적의 대안을 마련하고 치료를 결정하는 의사결정 방법론을 제시하고자한다. 즉 의사가 환자를 진료 할 때 진료 과정에서 질병에 대한 경험만으로 확진하는 경우가 일반적이다. 이럴 경우 환자의 특성이나 체질을 고려하지 않아 의외의 치료 부작용이 발생될 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 최소화하기 위해 의학적 의사결정 도구를 이용하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 의학적 의사결정 시스템 개념을 정리하고 의사결정에 도움을 주는 여러 도구들(decision-making tools)을 분석해 보고 최적의 진료 의사결정에 도움을 줄 수 있는가에 대해 타당성을 고찰하였다.
