Increased nitrogen in the water system has become an important environmental problem around the world, as it causes eutrophication, algae bloom, and red tide, destroys the water system, and undermines water's self-purification. The most common form of nitrogen in the water system is ammonium ion (NH4+), and the largest portion of ammonium ions comes from wastewater. NH4+ is a major contributor to eutrophication, which calls for appropriate treatment and measures for ammonium removal. This study produced biochar by applying Sorghum × drummondii, a type of biomass with a great growth profile, analyzed the adsorption capacity of Sorghum × drummondii biochar produced from the changing carbonization temperature condition of 200 to 400℃ in the ammonium ion range of 10 to 100 ppm, and used the results to evaluate its potential as an adsorbent. Carbonization decomposed the chemical structure of Sorghum × drummondii and increased the content of carbon and fixed carbon in the biochar. The biochar's pH and electrical conductivity showed high adsorption potential for cations due to electrical conductivity as its pH and electrical conductivity increased along with higher carbonization temperature. Based on the results of an adsorption experiment, the biochar showed 54.5% and 17.4% in the maximum and minimum NH4-N removal efficiency as the concentration of NH4-N increased, and higher carbonization temperature facilitated the adsorption of pollutants due to the biochar's increased pores and specific surface area and subsequently improved NH4-N removal efficiency. FT-IR analysis showed that the overall surface functional groups decreased due to high temperature from carbonization.
In order for SW education to be established in the era of non-face-to-face caused by COVID-19, research on the efficiency of SW education according to face-to-face and non-face classes is needed. Therefore, this study classified the operation status of the curriculum of 30 SW gifted classes nationwide in 2020 according to the class method(face-to-face, non-face, and blended). Subsequently, the results of class time and production per person were compared and analyzed through quantitative analysis. According to the study, the type of classes that performed the most classes compared to the planned number of hours was non-face-to-face(90.9%), followed by face-to-face(84.2%) and the least was blended(80.5%). The average number of products per student was the highest in the face-to-face class(0.504), while the blended class(0.421) and non-face-to-face class(0.42). Based on the results of this study, the non-face-to-face approach is advantageous in securing the number of hours, but various measures should be prepared to solve this problem because teachers and students find it difficult to guide the output.
The purpose of this study is to use K-MOOC, which has limitations in utilization because it is centered on theory delivery, to derive tasks to activate the teaching methods of instructors, and to implement the derived tasks using the metaverse platform. to develop a prototype. According to the purpose of the study, the study was conducted as follows. First, from October 4 to November 15, 2022, a Delphi survey was conducted on 21 experts with experience of consulting, research, class development, and operation related to the K-MOOC project. Second, in order to realize the tasks in the teaching method field derived from the Delphi survey, matching with the teaching method class model elements to result of Delphi survey was applied was carried out. Finally, based on the results of expert Delphi and the elements of the class model applicable to the metaverse platform, a teaching method was developed. Through the process of the study, a total of 16 detailed items were derived for the teaching method-related tasks for the activation of K-MOOC: support strategic tasks, teaching method competency, aspect of class design, evaluation and sharing of learning outcomes. By applying the metaverse, the teaching model elements for K-MOOC revitalization were derived from four categories: self-directed repetition, individualized problem solving, practice opportunity expansion, and immediate feedback, and matched with the first 16 detailed items. A four-step teaching model was completed: course attendance (step 1), mission analysis by individual level (step 2), sharing of mission solutions (step 3), and mission evaluation and feedback (step 4). Through the results of this study, the possibility of using the metaverse as a teaching practice platform was confirmed even in terms of the introduction and development of specialized techniques.

The urban street has been escaped from functional and uniformed arrangement for merely movement to the space which can take the role of cozy and familiar culture. Therefore I tried to prepare a plan for the wide roads having streetscape which reveal area's identity as well as coziness and convenience by grasping the problem and its solution through analysing and deducing various elements with the subject of streetscape among urban landscape components, especially composing wide road's streetscape. First of all, this study made a simulation by deducing components of wide road's streetscape and controlling them with theoretical review of streetscape and consideration of wide road's local characteristic. With the evaluation on the base of them, that following four components could be the representative things of entrance part was confirmed by this study. They were familiar streetscape,symbolic scene as as an entrance gate, continuous and dynamic streetscape, and interesting and pleasant streetscape. And for the middle part, those four components could represent the wide road's streetscapeI were confirmed. They were familiar streetscape, safe and tender streetscape, pleasant and dynamic streetscape, and symbolic streetscape. It seems that the components of the streetscape obtained from the analysis of this study are utilized as reference data in the case of a future streetscape design conclusively.
Future battlefield domains are expanding to ground, sea, air, space, and cyber, so future military operations are expected to be carried out simultaneously and complexly in various battlefield domains. In addition, the application of convergence technologies that create innovations in all fields of economy, society, and defense, such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and big data, is being promoted. However, since the current Korean military C4I system manages warfighting function DBs in one DB server, the efficiency of combat performance is reduced utilization and distribution speed of data and operation response time. To solve this problem, research is needed on how to apply the 4th industrial revolution technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, big data, and cloud to the Korean military C4I system, but research on this is insufficient. Therefore, this paper analyzes the problems of the current Korean military C4I system and proposes to apply the 4th industrial revolution technology in terms of operational mission, network and data link, computing environment, cyber operation, interoperability and interlocking capabilities.
The world is striving to transition to a carbon-neutral society. It is expected that using hydrogen instead of hydrocarbon fuel will contribute to this carbon neutrality. However, there is a need for combustion technology that controls the increased NOx emissions caused by hydrogen co-firing. Flameless combustion is one of the alternative technologies that resolves this problem. In this study, a numerical analysis was performed using the 1D opposed-flow diffusion flame model of Chemkin to analyze the characteristics of flameless combustion and the chemical reaction of methane-hydrogen fuel according to its hydrogen content and flue gas recirculation rate. In methane combustion, as the recirculation rate (Kv) increased, the temperature and heat release rate decreased due to an increase in inert gases. Also, increasing Kv from 2 to 3 achieved flameless combustion in which there was no endothermic region of heat release and the region of maximum heat release rate merged into one. In H2 100% at Kv 3, flameless combustion was achieved in terms of heat release, but it was difficult to determine whether flameless combustion was achieved in terms of flame structure. However, since the NOx formation of hydrogen flameless combustion was predicted to be similar to that of methane flameless combustion, complex considerations of flame structure, heat release, and NOx formation are needed to define hydrogen flameless combustion.
The net function of the domestic medical insurance system is highly regarded, but due to the problem of incomplete coverage, the public wants to secure coverage through private medical insurance subscription. As a result, the subscription rate of private medical insurance has recently increased, and the billing rate has also increased. As the number of people seeking private medical insurance increased, workers at private medical insurance companies are experiencing increased job stress and side effects, especially for insurance reviewers who are in charge of paying insurance, such as communicating with customers who claimed insurance and contributing to the company's profit. In response, this study analyzed the effects of job stress on mental health of insurance reviewers and conducted a descriptive survey study to reduce job stress of insurance reviewers and promote mental health. The analysis shows that job stress for insurance reviewers has a significant impact on mental health (+). In detail, job stress has a significant impact on all four factors: social performance and self-confidence, depression, sleeping disturbance and anxiety, and general well-being and vitality. This study showed that job stress in insurance reviewers has a significant (+) impact on mental health. Job stress can cause side effects in organizational aspects, such as reducing enthusiasm for job performance and increasing turnover and resignation rates, but it can also worsen individual physical health and cause diseases such as depression and anxiety, causing mental health to be impoverished. Therefore, in order to prevent this, appropriate work stress prevention methods and countermeasures should be provided to help reduce work stress and improve mental health.

This case study reports on the redevelopment of a course, Local Culture Information Theory offered by the Department of Library and Information Science at C University, into a capstone design course using a project-based learning approach. In collaboration with a local community youth organization, the redesigned course provided an opportunity for LIS students to develop and implement a digital literacy program that enabled high school students to use a variety of digital multimedia technologies to complete a project of digital Human Library featuring video, audio, and digital are such as webtoons. Through semi-structured interviews with 5 students and 3 staff from partner organizations, this study reports on course development process, the establishment of local partnerships, project outcome, as well as suggestions for improvements. In addition, a qualitative analysis of the participating students' interview responses using the Framework for 21st Century Learning (P21) found they developed and improved 11 skills across three core areas: life and career skills including self-direction, project management, collaboration with diverse teams, flexibility, responsibility, leadership; learning and innovation skills including communication and collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking; and information, media, and technology skills through media creation. Lessons learned and recommendations from this case study may be useful for other LIS programs and faculty interested in implementing project-based learning or developing capstone design courses.

Even though there is a great deal of progress in a numerical method of high caliber like SPH, it is very rarely deployed in a water resources community. Despite the great stride in computing environment, depth averaged approach like a nonlinear shallow equation is still efficient tool for flood routing in large watershed, but it can give some misleading information like the inundation height of flood. In this rationale, we numerically simulate the flow into the dry channel, dry channel with an obstacle triggered by the collapse of a two dimensional water column using SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) in order to boost the application of numerical method of high caliber like SPH in a water resources community. As a most severe test of the robustness of SPH, we also carry out the simulation of the flow through a clearance into the wet channel driven by the rapid removal of a water gate. As a hydrodynamic model, we used the Navier-Stokes equation, a numerical integration of which was carried out using SPH. To verify the validity of newly proposed numerical model, we compare the numerically simulated flow with the others in the literature mainly from VOF and MAC, and hydraulic experiments by Martin and Moyce (1952), Koshizuka et al. (1995) and Janosi et al. (2004). It was shown that agreements between the numerical results in this study and hydraulic experiments are remarkable.
Today’s teenagers were significantly deficient of calcium intakes, taking on the average only 55.4 percents of the recommended. Milk was the major source of calcium intakes, and therefore the school milk program need to be readdressed to remedy this problem. However, school milk program(SMP) was said to be simply the substitute for milk at home, so that no more than a minimal effect on total milk consumption be warranted. This Study aimed to find out whether or not the school milk program was an effective measure to increase teenager’s milk consumption and explored the relation between school milk and total milk consumption for 1,079 junior and senior high school students who were surveyed by questionnaire from 15th June to 15th July in 2006. A Tobit model was used for the statistical analysis. In this model, we first regressed milk consumption on 5 variables i.e. degree of satisfaction, participation in SMP, sex, school, region. But the variable region was not significant statistically. Then we regressed on 4 variables except for region. The results showed 4 variables were all significant and the marginal effect of variable ‘participation in SMP’ was 1.3. Especially, the marginal effect 1.3 means that the students participating in the school milk program consumed 1.3cups more than the non-participants, which indicated the effectiveness of school milk program to improve the calcium deficiency program of teenagers.
