  • This study analyzed the introduction of addition and subtraction, including the composition and decomposition of numbers in the Korean, Singaporean, American, and Japanese elementary mathematics textbooks. The analytic foci of this study included visual models and their connections with the given problem contexts, the introduction of addition/subtraction or addition/subtraction sentences and their connections with the visual models, and additional activities for students to develop a relational understanding of the equal sign. The results of the analysis demonstrated diverse connections, mainly because the problem contexts, visual models, and the introduction of addition/subtraction or addition/subtraction sentences were implemented differently for each textbook. There were differences among the textbooks in what order of problem contexts were presented. Regarding the use of visual models, two textbooks tended to use one model consistently, whereas the other textbooks used various models depending on the problem contexts. There were subtle but significant differences in introducing addition/subtraction or addition/subtraction sentences. For a relational understanding of the equal sign, all textbooks included activities emphasizing that both sides of the equal sign are equal. Based on the results of this study, this paper closes with several implications related to the problem contexts to introduce addition/subtraction and addition/subtraction sentences as well as the use of visual models, which can serve as a basis for a new unit for the subsequent textbook.

  • Objective : This study examined the characteristics of the literature involving a single-subject research design among positive behavior support intervention studies to improve problem behavior in children with autism spectrum disorders and assess the quality level. Methods : This is a literature study, and the targets of analysis were nine single-subject research papers published between 2011 and 2020. The subject papers were analyzed by dividing them into general characteristics and the qualitative levels according to the content of the research method. Results : Analysis of analyzing the contents of the study showed that the subjects were preschool and elementary school-age children at the same ratio. Furthermore, the study design involved mostly the middle and multiple baseline designs among the behaviors. All papers presented social validity, intervention fidelity, and observer reliability. Problem behaviors included self-injury and aggression behaviors, disturbing behaviors, and seat break-away behaviors, while the most dependent variables were measured through partial interval recording. As a result of confirming the intervention effect, the effect was confirmed in intervention, maintenance, and generalization. All analysis studies showed high-quality levels. Conclusion : This study confirmed the content and qualitative level of the thesis that applied the single-subject research design among positive behavior support intervention studies for problem behaviors of children with autism spectrum disorders. Positive behavior support intervention, an evidence-based intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders, was confirmed an effective intervention for autism spectrum disorders.

  • This study proposes a Korean sentimental analysis algorithm that utilizes a letter-unit embedding and convolutional neural networks. Sentimental analysis is a natural language processing technique for subjective data analysis, such as a person's attitude, opinion, and propensity, as shown in the text. Recently, Korean sentimental analysis research has been steadily increased. However, it has failed to use a general-purpose sentimental dictionary and has built-up and used its own sentimental dictionary in each field. The problem with this phenomenon is that it does not conform to the characteristics of Korean. In this study, we have developed a model for analyzing emotions by producing syllable vectors based on the onset, peak, and coda, excluding morphology analysis during the emotional analysis procedure. As a result, we were able to minimize the problem of word learning and the problem of unregistered words, and the accuracy of the model was 88%. The model is less influenced by the unstructured nature of the input data and allows for polarized classification according to the context of the text. We hope that through this developed model will be easier for non-experts who wish to perform Korean sentimental analysis.

  • The GEOKST program was used to solve the tunnel example problem. The package can solve such geotechnical problem as excavation, embankment, foundations, etc., in which the soil can be modeled by various elastoplastic geomaterial models. The main objective was to consider the effects of excavation depth to the face of the tunnel on the stability of the ground and support system. Depended on the strength of the ground materials, the limit excavation depth without any support system could be established by analyzing three-dimensional excavation problem. In this given example problem, the strengths of the ground materials were enough for the stability of the tunnel without any support system up to fairly deep excavation and the maximum tunnel section displacement was stabilized as the excavation proceed. The asymptotic value was approximately the same as that of the plane strain analysis. Thus, assuming the plain strain condition and simulation the actual excavation procedure, the maximum tunnel section displacement was caculated after final step. The maximum calculated displacement occured at the top section of the tunnel geometry and was about 8mm.

  • In this research, we applied the problem-based learning (PBL) on a college computer system programming course and analyzed how it affected students' academic achievement and job essential skills. After course contents analysis, we divided the course into three subsections and provided three problems for each subsection. For measuring the effect on academic achievement, we compared with scores of the previous year's students. For job essential skills, we used Korea collegiate essential skills assessment (K-CESA) operated by Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training. Students took the test twice before and after the course. Results showed that PBL has positive effects on both academic achievement and job essential skills.

  • Because of the mechanical problems of input camera equipment, image restoration process is performed in order to minimize recognition errors due to the noise problem generated in test data image. The image restoration method resolves the noise problem by examining the numbers and positions of the Direct neighbors and the Indirect neighbors for each pixel constituting the test data. As a result, satisfactory recognition result can be obtained by eliminating the noise problem generated in the test data through the image restoration process as much as possible and also by calculating the differences between the learning data and the test data in the area unit, thereby reducing the possibility of recognition error by the noise problem.

  • The management science was concerned about how to use the main point of the management science model and it's technique by the rational primary factors. The problem's definition, estabilished of the model and it's solving. These function are very difficult and important problems, what is more important, are the model of management science's real prosecution to the manager and management scientist. The management science give us a clue to the solution of a business problem. To get needs conclusion and achieving the estabilished object, we must implement a plan, a stratgem, a policy. If we were not implementing the recommended items, we may call the estabilished model and problem solving impractical, ivory-tower theorizing. But, the implementation of management science model is a complicated problem that is involved mutual relations of managers and management scientist, linkage parts member and the resources of organization. And the other problems of implementation are very complicated problems composed of technologic and economic, social and politic, psychological. This paper reports the implementation of a success that possibly studies a fluent and a chief cause to systematic analysis. Then, first of all I will define of implementation and from these, construction of a unity system, I continue with a catch hold of a main point and a fluent for the successful implementation.
