  • In order to maintain the existence of a university in the era of infinite competition, it is actively promoting the establishment of a school dormitory, one of the welfare facilities, as a way to attract students who want to enter the university. In the past, university dormitories were built by the university and managed and operated on themselves, but recently, due to the poor financial situation of the university, university dormitories promoted BTL method that private construction company built dormitories and rented them for a certain period of time to manage and operate. J University has dormitories managed and operated by itself and dormitories managed and operated by entrusting the private sector. User satisfaction surveys are conducted on two dormitory facilities with different management and operation organizations, and the contents of the survey are compared and analyzed. This study is expected to be used as basic data when planning a dormitory remodeling project or a new dormitory establishment project in the future.

  • Properties of school foundation are divided into fundamental property for education and fundamental property for profit. As school sites and teachers used for educational and study activities of students, fundamental property for education includes practice sites, farms and support research attached facilities in addition to school facilities. According to the Clause 1 of Article 4 of the University Foundation and Management Regulation and the Attached Table 2 of the Same Regulation, dormitory is classified as property for education(non-profit). In other words, there is no need to create profit for dormitory management. It is supposed that there are little regional differences in construction cost of dormitory with general specifications. In this case, boarding fees of university dormitories should make no difference. This study analyzed boarding fees, depending on regional factors(Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, metropolitan cities and provinces), and depending on foundation subjects(national public university and private university), classes(four-year university and college) and principal schools-branch schools. The result of One-Way ANOVA showed that Seoul showed the highest average boarding fee and it was followed by Gyeonggi-do, metropolitan cities and provinces. Also, the average boarding fees of private universities and four-year universities were higher than national public universities and than colleges, respectively. In addition, branch school's boarding fee was higher than principal school's. Additionally, this study extracted a model using the hedonic model to see how various characteristics such as region, foundation subject and class influence the boarding fee. This study would serve as fundamental research on the boarding fee. Thus far, there have been difficulties in obtaining accurate data and analyzing boarding fees, since there is no open data about dormitories and it isn't mandatory to open it, but it is anticipated that this would be used as fundamental research for estimating and analyzing boarding fees of many universities in the future.

  • Private universities are going through difficulties in improving facilities for the disabled students due to financial reasons. Extension elevators, grips on both sides of the hallways for the visually disabled, handrails on the walls of ramps and stairs in the existing building, and improvement of the dormitory chambers are some items of such facilities in this analysis of MyongJi University. Hence, financial support based on the long-term plans and evaluations from the National Treasury to private universities with financial stringencies, will be a critical promotion in appropriating educational budgets and executing corresponding funds. This will eventually bring equal development of educational welfare for the disabled students among national, public, and private universities.

Thereafter, when the shrine received a royal warrant naming as Simgok seowon in 1650, the new site for the seowon was chosen, which is currently located in Gyeonggi-do Yongin-si Sanghyeon-ri 203. Since then, buildings of Simgok seowon was constructed and repaired couple of times.

The methodology of analysis on the problem and the solution of government policy was Frequency analysis. And analysis methods on differences of experts' opinion were ANOVA, Levene' test, and Schefe test. Results: Problems in Government's youth residential support housing policy include high rents, lack of supply, difficulty in acquiring rental housing, inconvenience in using shared spaces, conflicts with cohabitants, and invasion of privacy. Solutions include expanding supply to urban areas, establishing long-term plans, securing privacy, diversifying business methods, establishing platforms for rental housing transactions, and expanding various public support (financial support, etc). Conclusions: There was a difference in perception among groups of experts on the impact of public rental housing (called 'happiness housing') in youth housing stability. It is very urgent to come up with the most reasonable policy to support youth housing. This requires in-depth discussions by experts to narrow their differences.
