Ultra-high performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is characterized by a post-cracking residual tensile strength with a large tensile strain as well as a high compressive strength. To determine a material tensile strength of UHPFRC, three-point loading test on notched prism and direct tensile test on doubly notched plate were compared and then the design tensile strength is decided. Shear tests on nine I-shaped beams with varied types of fiber volume ratio, shear span ratio and size effect were conducted to investigate shear behavior in web. From the test results, the stress redistribution ability represented as diagonal cracked zone was quantified by inclination of principal stress in web. The test results shows that the specimens were capable of resistance to shear loading without stirrup in a range of large deformation and the strength increase with post-cracking behavior is stable. However at the ultimate state all test specimens failed as a crack localization in the damaged zone and the shear strength of specimens is affected by shear span ratio and effective depth. Strength predictions show that the existing recommendations should be modified considering shear span ratio and effective depth as design parameters.

The single-crystal structure of largely ammonium-exchanged zeolite Y dehydrated at room temperature (293 K) and 1 ${\times}\;10^{-6}$ Torr. has been determined using synchrotron X-radiation in the cubic space group $Fd\overline{3}m\;(a=24.9639(2)\AA)$ at 294 K. The structure was refined to the final error index $R_1$ = 0.0429 with 926 reflections where $F_o>4\sigma(F_o)$; the composition (best integers) was identified as |$(NH_4)_{60}Na_{11}$|[$Si_{121}Al_{71}O_{384}$]-FAU. The 11 $Na^{+}$ ions per unit cell were found at three different crystallographic sites and 60 ${NH_4}^{+}$ ions were distributed over three sites. The 3 $Na^{+}$ ions were located at site I, the center of the hexagonal prism ($Na-O\;=\;2.842(5)\;\AA\;and\;O-Na-O\;=\;85.98(12)^{\circ}$). The 4 $Na^{+}$ and 22 ${NH_4}^{+}$ ions were found at site I' in the sodalite cavity opposite the double 6-rings, respectively ($Na-O\;=\;2.53(13)\;\AA,\;O-Na-O\;=\;99.9(7)^{\circ},\;N-O\;=\;2.762(11)\;\AA,\;and\;O-N-O =\;89.1(5)^{\circ}$). About 4 $Na^{+}$ ions occupied site II ($(Na-O\;=\;2.40(4)\;\AA\;and\;O-Na-O\;=\;108.9(3)^{\circ}$) and 29 ${NH_4}^{+}$ ions occupy site II ($N-O\;=\;2.824(9)\;\AA\;and\;O-N-O\;=\;87.3(3)^{\circ}$) opposite to the single 6-rings in the supercage. The remaining 9 ${NH_4}^{+}$ ions were distributed over site III' ($N-O\;=\;2.55(3),\;2.725(13)\;\AA\;and\;O-N-O\;=\;94.1(13),\;62.16(15),\;155.7(14)^{\circ}$).

We made sharp optical fiber tips with less than 100 nm diameter by using the heating and pulling method with a good repetition and fabricated the photon scanning tunneling microscope (PSTM) using constant intensity mode. The 3-dimensional PZT (Piezoelctric transducer) scanner made of a long PZT tube is consisted of three divided parts, that is, a pair of $\pm$ x and a pair of $\pm$y scanning parts and a z scanning part for the fine approach and scanning. The scanning dimension is 1.43 $\mu\textrm{m}$$\times$1.76 $\mu\textrm{m}$. The height of a optical tip to maintain a constant height within $1/{\lambda}_0$ (${\lambda}_0$ is the incident wavelength) from surface of a specimen to a optical tip is controlled automatically by using the electric feedback circuit. The 3-dimensional shape of standing evanescent waves generated on the surface of a dove prism was measured successfully by using the constant intensity mode PSTM.
It is important for designers to be supported with their decision-making on colours which is often based on personal distinction rather than logical dialogue that may lead to confusion within communicating with others. To help these problems and to gain productivity, we would like to propose a way to define colour grouping method. In other words, the purpose of this study is to help to improve the communication and productivity within the design and designers. The grouping was based and inspired by from the studies of Kobayashi, Hideaki Chijiawa, Allis Westgate and Martha Gill. The study of grouping is based on the "tones" of each group, as they seem to reflect a designer s sentimentalism of chosen colours the best. Each of these groups will be named Bright , Pastel ,Deep and Neutral The general concept of each groups are: - Bright: high quality of pixels of primary colour - Pastel: primary colour with white - - Deep: Primary colour with gray or black - Neutral: colours that does not include any of above Each of the colour group has been allocated into Si-Hwa Jung's colour charts and colour prism to visualize the relationships between the colour groups. These four groups and the colours included in them will be broken down to smaller groups in order to make colour palette. This would break the barrier and result in using colours in groups as well as crossover coordination. This study would result in new ways of using colurs for designers designers
The aim of this work was the validation of a rapid real-time PCR assay based on TaqMan technology for the unequivocal identification of infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) virus, to be used directly on DNA purified from blood specimens. A real-time PCR system targeting at the E3 ORFA gene sequence of canine adenovirus type 1 was optimized and validated through comparative analysis of samples using conventional PCR system. The real-time PCR assay based on TaqMan technology could disclose 23 (37.7%) out of 61 samples as PCR positive. In contrast, 18 (29.5%) samples were found PCR positive when conventional PCR was applied on these samples. The use of the ABI Prism 7700 sequence detection system allowed the efficient determination of the amplified product accumulation through a fluorogenic probe. The entire real-time TaqMan PCR assay, including DNA extraction, amplification, and detection could be completed within 3 hours. The detection method of real-time TaqMan PCR assay was 1,000 times more sensitive than conventional PCR. Real-time TaqMan probe and primer set developed and optimized in this study is a sensitive, rapid and accurate method for detection of ICH virus and can be effective screening tool for the detection of ICH in a diagnostic laboratory routines.
Purpose: There is uncertainty if the vergence facility would provide clinically significant supplementary information to the fusional vergence measurements. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between vergence facility and fusional vergence in a group of symptomatic subjects. Methods: A total of 114 symptomatic subjects aged 9 to 13 years, who passed the vision screening test, participated in this study. Vergence facility was measured with 8$\Delta$ BI/8$\Delta$ BO flipper lenses and a suppression control target, the 20/30 letter line on Vectogram 9 (Bernell, USA). Near fusional vergence was measured with a single 20/30 vertical line target by Von Graefe technique. In order to avoid excessive convergence stimulation, negative fusional vergence (NFV) range (blur, break and recovery) was measured followed by positive fusional vergence (PFV) ranges (blur, break and recovery). Results: Pearson correlations were calculated and showed no correlations between vergence facility and any of fusional vergence measurements (p>0.05). Also, there were no significant differences of vergence facility measurements on the compensating vergence that passed or failed Sheard and Morgan's criterion for comfortable vision (p>0.05). Conclusions: There was no correlation between vergence facility and fusional vergence among symptomatic subjects. Hence, both vergence facility and fusional vergence should be assessed for those with binocular dysfunction in order to make an accurate diagnosis and management plan.

Purpose: To report a case of anterior segment ischemia after superior and inferior rectus muscle surgery in a patient with superior rectus muscle enlargement. This is the first report in the Republic of Korea of anterior segment ischemia after two rectus muscles surgery. Case summary: An 80-year-old male was referred to our clinic with a 3 years history of diplopia. The patient had 30 prism diopters right eye hypertropia in the primary position and downgaze limitation. The orbital computed tomography scan revealed enlargement of the right superior rectus muscle. He underwent right superior rectus recession and inferior rectus resection. On postoperative day 2, slit lamp examination revealed diffuse corneal edema, Descemet's membrane folding, an aqueous flare and a dilated pupil. Treatment with 45 mg oral steroid was initiated, and 1% prednisolone acetate and 0.5% Levofloxacin eye drops were administered. At postoperative 1 month, the patient was orthophoric in the primary position, and there was no corneal edema, pupil abnormality or aqueous flare. Conclusions: Base on the present case, the possibility of anterior segment ischemia should be considered after even two muscles surgery, and older patients with vertical muscle surgery should be considered more carefully.
Hyperspectral imaging is used in a wide variety of research since the image is obtained with a wider wavelength range and more bands than multispectral imaging. However, there are limitations, namely that each band has a shorter wavelength range, the computation cost is increased in the case of numerous bands, and a high correlation between each band and noise bands exists. The previous analysis method does not produce ideal results due to these limitations. Therefore, in the case of using the hyperspectral image, image analysis after eliminating noise bands is more accurate and efficient. In this study, noise band elimination of the hyperspectral image preprocessing is highlighted, and we use fractal dimension for noise band elimination. The Triangular Prism Method is used, being the typical fractal dimension method of the curved surface. The fractal dimension of each band is calculated. We then apply the Continuum Removal method to normalize. A total of 35 bands are estimated by noise band with a threshold value that is obtained empirically. The hyperion hyperstpectral image collected on the EO-1 satellite is used in this study. The result delineates that noise bands of the hyperion image are able to be eliminated with the fractal dimension and Continuum Removal method.

In this study, an experimental study on the tensile properties of steel fiber-reinforced ultra high strength concrete(UHSC) with a standard compressive strength of 180MPa was performed. Steel fibers with a volume ratio of 1% were mixed to prepare direct tensile strength specimens and prism specimens for the three-point bending test. The fabricated specimens were set up in the middle section of the specimen to induce cracks, and the test was carried out according to each evaluation method. First, the stress-strain curves were analyzed by performing direct tensile strength tests to investigate the behavior characteristics of concrete after cracking. In addition, the load-CMOD curve was obtained through the three-point bending test, and the inverse analysis was performed to evaluate the stress-strain curve. Tensile behavior characteristics of the direct tensile test and the three-point bending test of the indirect test were similar. In addition, the tensile stress-strain curve modeling presented in the SC structural design guidelines was performed, and the comparative analysis of the measured and predicted values was performed. When the material reduction factor of 1.0 was applied, the predicted value was similar to the measured value up to the strain of 0.02, but when the material reduction factor of 0.8 was applied, the predicted value was close to the lower limit of the measured value. In addition, when the strain was greater than 0.02, the predicted value by SC structural design guideline to underestimated the measured value.
Objectives Objective of this study is to investigate the role of paraspinal muscles by examining the correlation between slip percentage (SP) of spondylolisthesis and fatty infiltration of lumbar paraspinal muscle. Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on 45 patients diagnosed with spondylolisthesis based on medical records. Using T2-weighted axial magnetic resonance imaging, cross-sectional areas (CSAs) of psoas major (PM), multifidus (MU) and erector spinae (ES) were calculated and divided by CSA of lower level vertebral body (VB). SP was measured using sagittal T2-weighted images. Correlation of SP with muscle relative cross-sectional area (RCSA) and muscle fatty infiltration by Goutallier classification was respectively analyzed using Spearman correlation. Statistic assessment conducted by Wilcoxon signed rank test and paired t-test using program GraphPad prism 5 (GraphPad Software, Inc., San Diego, CA, USA). Results Spondylolisthesis forward slip percentage by Taillard's method was negatively associated with both side MU RCSAs. No significant correlation was found between PM RCSA, ES RCSA and SP. Forward slippage was significantly correlated with fatty infiltration of lumbar paraspinal muscle measured by Goutallier classification. Conclusions This study is to understand the role of paraspinal muscle affecting spinal instability by investigating correlation between statistical deviation of lumbar muscle characters (RCSA, fatty infiltration of lumbar muscle) and SP. We found that spondylolisthesis SP is positively related to fatty infiltration of lumbar paraspinal muscle. and is negatively associated with both side MU RCSAs.
