  • PURPOSES: In this study, as part of an effort to develop HUD for public transit, it is proposed that the decision of order priority of contents which will be disposed to bus drivers through HUD for public transit using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique. METHODS: In AHP analysis method brainstorming, factor analysis, hierarchical structuring, and weighting analysis were performed by applying a classical analysis method. RESULTS: By the result of analysis it is shown that unlike car drivers, bus drivers prefer information related to bus intervals, bus stop, and door open and close to information related to vehicle running. Also, bus stop information and bus interval information were ranked as first and second place in order priority of HUD contents for public transit by experts. CONCLUSIONS: This method of selecting order priority of HUD contents for public transit can provide a basic foundation for selecting order priority of traffic information contents as well as other HUD contents.

  • Geographic Information has been used widely for landuse and management, city plan, and environment and disaster management, etc., But geographic information has been built for individual cases using various methods. Therefore, the discordancy in data, double investment, confusion of use and difficulty of decision supporting system have been occurred. In order to solve these problems, national government is need to framework database. This framework database was enacted for building and use of National Geographic Information System and focused on basic plan of the second national geographic information system. Also, the framework database was selected of eight fields by NGIS laws and 19 detailed items through meeting of framework committee since 2002. In this research, The 19 detailed items( road, railroad, coastline, surveying control point etc.,) of framework database consider a Priority order, In the result of this research, the framework database is obtain to a priority order for building and the national government will carry effectively out a budget for the framework database building. Each of 19 detailed items is grouping into using the priority order of the framework database by AHP analysis method and verified items by decision tree analysis method. The one of the highest priority order items is a road, which is important for building, continuous renovation, and maintain management for use.

  • l. Objectives This study aims to know the coefficient of five Sasang constitution diagnosis factors' concordance in and among Oriental Medical Clinics, which are important to diagnose Sasang constitution, 2. Methods We collected 701 subjects in Oriental Medical Clinics, who were diagnosed by experts, and they marked the priority order of Sasang constitutional factors in paper. 3. Results 1) The concordance of priority order about Sasang constitutional factors was significantly associated within Oriental Medical Clinics. 2) The concordance of priority order of Sasang constitutional factors was not significantly associated among 12 Oriental Medical Clinics, so we find out that each medical clinics has a different point of view of deciding the rank of diagnosis factors. 3) We show that the factor of Sasang constitutional drug response was the most important one to confirm Sasang constitution and factors have a different order according to clinic type and qualification of experts 4. Conclusions Sasang constitution expect has their own view in diagnosis priority order and that was different among them.

  • In nuclear power plant, it has been the important object to reduce the occupational radiation exposure (ORE). Recently, the optimization concept of management science has been studied to reduce the ORE in nuclear power plant. In optimization of the worker allocation, the collective dose, working time, individual dose, an total number of worker must be considered and their priority orders must be thought because the main constraint is necessary for determining the constraints variable of the radiological worker allocation problem. The ultimate object of this study s to look into the change of the optimal allocation of the radiological worker as priority order changes. In this study, the priority order is the characteristic of goal programming that is a kind of multi-objective linear programming. From a result of study using goal programming, the total number of worker and collective dose of worker have changed as the priority order has changed and the collective dose limit have played an important role in reducing the ORE.

  • The assumption of reinvestment rate leads to the results conflicting with the priority order of investments determined by net present worth. It has been revealed through various studies that the priority order of projects determined by the criteria based on internal rate of return is different from that determined by present worth. This study is to find out how to define reinvestment rate of return influencing the decision-making of the priority order through examining the meanings of reinvestment rate of capital and true rate of return, and to present some examples with a simple mathematical model.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the possible ways to minimize damage by analyzing the influence that may be exerted upon the business process of the distribution industry by unexpected climate change. Research design, data, and methodology - The optimum business process is to be implemented after dividing the diversified business process of the distribution industry into the four stages of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Results - First, the upper-level risks that would be impacted most sensitively by climate change have been selected. Second, the impact and characteristics of the environment have been discovered. Third, weighted values by criteria item of upper-level business risks have been analyzed. Fourth, it was possible to define the business priority order based on the individual and then to adjust the Recovery Time Objective (RTO). Conclusion - In this study, the priority order has been defined quantitatively by calculating the priority order score. Further, the priority order has been determined depending on whether any targeted business unit is applicable to the items of the business nature criteria.

  • This paper investigates a priority scheme for IEEE 802.11 Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) protocol in order to provide short access times for priority frames (e.g. time-deadline traffic) even when the overall traffic on the wireless channel is heavy. Under the compatibility constraint for the IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs, two priority systems are simulated: no priority (current IEEE 802.11 standard) for time-deadline traffics and dynamic time-deadline priority. We evaluate algorithms to improve the time-deadline traffic performance using discrete event simulation (DES)

  • The objective of this study is the classification of priority areas for the implementation of green roof by evaluating environmental deterioration in Seoul. Non-permeable pavement, air pollution, habitual floods, energy use, heat island and green space are considered in this assessment indicators. The expert questionnaire survey was conducted in order to determine the most important indicators. These indicators were then, thoroughly evaluated. As a result, high priority areas for the implementation of green roof were deduced in the following order of the districts : Jung, Sungdong, Jungrang, Youngdungpo, Jongro and Kangnam. The highest priority areas were determined to be crowded business-commercial areas. Low priority areas are analyzed in the following order of the districts : Kwanak, Nowon, Seocho and Dobong. The result of this study can be utilized for environmental planning and decision of related policies. Additionally, it can be promoted that awareness of implementing green roof of citizens, policy makers and building owners and effect of green networking between inside and outside Seoul can be increased.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the type and priority order of forest functions that is suitable in assessing a private forest. A questionnaire survey of experts group and forest officers from the city and county office was conducted and the appropriateness of forest functions type and priority order of function were assessed. Based on the survey conducted, they mostly agreed that it is necessary to change the name of forest functions and integrate the forest functions. Four classifications of forest functions were presented: resources rotation, water yield, living environment, and forest conservation. As the variety of organizations and geographical areas determine which forest functions are the priority, it is necessary to determine which function will become the priority order according to geographical areas, instead of simply dividing the forest functions into national and publicly owned forest when assessing the forest functions of private forests across the nation.

  • This study is to develop a Priority Decision System for Redevelopment (PDSR) which is able to decide the priority for redevelopment of agricultural reservoirs. The major scopes of this research are to make the related GIS data like hydrologic unit map and other thematic maps to determine the suggested priority index (PI), and to develop the PDSR handling the GIS data and calculating weighing factors for the PI. In order to make the weighing factor decision module, the AHP technique was adopted. The result of the weighing factor calculation was showed PC (Possibility Criteria) and RC (Restriction Criteria) were 76% and 24% respectively. Which means that most of the specialist selected PC category prior to RC because of whom to mostly of major technique. So, in order to make more objective result, the selection of specialists is important like environmental activists or local residents and so on. The product from this research can provide more scientific support to decide the priority decision.
