탄소나노튜브를 이용하여 개조한 콜레스테롤 바이오 센서 개발 (Development of a cholesterol biosensor modified with carbon nanotube)

  • 탄소나노튜브를 이용하여 변형한 콜레스테롤 측정을 위한 바이오 센서를 개발하였다. 개발된 콜레스테롤 바이오 센서는 일회용으로 콜레스테롤의 효소반응에서 전자전달을 증진시키기 위하여 탄소잉크로 스크린 프린트된 전극을 탄소나노튜브를 이용하여 변형하였으며, 변형한 탄소나노튜브 전극위에 콜레스테롤 산화효소와 과산화효소, 전자매개 물질로 페로시안 칼륨을 도포하여 제작하였다. 탄소나노튜브를 이용하여 변형한 콜레스테롤 바이오 센서는 전기화학적으로 콜레스테롤 측정시 매우 신속하고 안정된 신호를 나타내었다. 개발된 콜레스테롤 센서는 소량의 (0.5 μL) 시료로 총 콜레스테롤 100~400 mg/dL 영역에서 5초 이내에 직선적인 감응을 나타내었으며 좋은 재현성을 나타내었다(CV 4.0% 이하).

X-선 미소열량계 신호 검출을 위한 광대역 SQUID 전류증폭기와 조절 회로 (Wide-bandwidth SQUID Current Amplifier and Control Electronics for X-ray Microcalorimeter)

  • Wide-bandwidth SQUID current amplifier and its control electronics have been constructed for detecting pulse outputs of a superconducting microcalorimeter. The current amplifier made of a double relaxation oscillation SQUID (DROS) has a bandwidth of 1.2 MHz and typical white noise level of about 6 pA/(equation omitted) Hz. To increase the dynamic range of the current amplifier, the flux-locked loop (FLL) has additional circuits to reset the integrator and to count reset numbers which present the number of passed flux quanta. In this system, dynamic range covers from -65 mA to +65 mA. SQUID electronics are controlled by software to get the optimum FLL condition, and to control the current to bias the transition edge sensor (TES). The electronics are shielded from the outside electromagnetic noises by using an aluminum case of 66 mm ${\times}$ 25 mm ${\times}$ 100 mm, and consist of 2 separate printed-circuit-boards for the current amplifier and the control electronics, respectively. The SQUID current amplifier and its control electronics will be used in TESs for detecting photons such as UV and X-ray with high energy resolution.

시각장애인을 위한 전자 지팡이의 설계 (A Design of Smart Cane for Visually Impaired Person)

  • 2005년 6월 현재 공식적으로 등록된 시각장애인의 수가 약 18만명에 이르며 2000년 이후 매년 1만명씩 등록 인원이 증가하고 있다. 시각장애인들은 교육, 직업의 선택, 문화의 향유 등에 있어서 소외되어 있으며 생활의 불편을 겪고 있다. 무엇보다도 거리 보행에 있어서 불편함과 위험을 안고 있다. 이를 위해 여러 전자 지팡이 제품들이 소개되어 있으나 고가의 장비여서 대중화에는 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 가격이 저렴하면서도 한국의 보행환경에 적합한 전자지팡이의 개발을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 1차적으로 시각장애 보행자가 거리를 보행할 때 눈의 역할을 해줄 수 있는 전자지팡이의 기본 설계 및 초음파 센서 실험 내용을 제시 한다.

황동단자에 대한 인쇄형 유연촉각센서의 출력 특성 (Study on Output Characteristics of Printed Flexible Tactile Sensors Connected to Brass Terminals)

  • While the demand for robots in the manufacturing industry has dramatically increased, the industrial robots' functionality is mainly determined by the effector attached to the end of their arms. They need a flexible gripping system that can act as a human hand and easily grasp a variety of objects, which requires resilient sensors. This study clarifies the electrical output characteristics of elastic tactile sensors according to contact terminals because the output characteristics of the tactile sensors vary greatly, depending on the contact material and the method of contact with the conductive wire. Our research considers the Three Roll Mill and Paste Mixer as the dispersion medium, and a nickel- and gold-plated brass electrode as the contact terminal.

PHEV용 Charge Indicator 시험기 개발 (Development of Charge Indicator Inspection System for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • In this work, we have developed a test system to examine whether the charge indicator of the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) works properly or not. In PHEV, the driver should charge the necessary electricity by plugging in manually and be able to know the charging status through the charge indicator conveniently located for the charging individual. Our system used the CAN bus to transmit the same commands from ECU to the indicator to test the proper operation of the indicator lights. It measured the electric current values during operation and analyzed to determine the quality of the indicators. The inspection items included the proper packaging, the electrical shorts, the LED lighting during charging, the LED lighting for charging failure, and the LED lighting when errors occur. We developed the system for the operators in the factory allowing them to approve the test results at the site. We developed the hardware, the control software, and the software to store the test results and the history of the products in the database. Serial numbers were given to the good quality products and the bar code labels were printed to trace the products afterwards. Through this work, we developed a system to inspect the electric parts in real time upon fabrication. We are planning to further improve our system to inspect the brightness of the indicator by adding the vision inspection in future.

  • Top of the alumina body which is made according to plan has been printed using a screen printer equipment in order to print an electrode pattern. The electrode is connected with the quartz crystal oscillator of the piezoelectricity method which has a piezoelectric characteristic. The pressure contact department has been experimented using three type of the teflon. The teflon is good for pressure delivery vector but it is bad restitution. So we devised the structure which inserts the metal in the teflon. Bottom of the module is connected with the signal processing department which is planned in advance and then has investigated to characteristic. Therefore we have got the best output-voltage and frequency characteristic follows in the pressure.

분말재료의 복소 유전율 및 투자율 측정 (Measurement of Complex Permittivity and Permeability for Powder-type Materials)

  • Materials used at microwave are usually used as a dielectric with a manufacturing purpose of printed circuit boards, etc. Complex permittivity of them can be measured from attenuation constant or propagation constant of a transmission line using a microstrip line with bulk type. But as the technique recently which can manufacture to have complex permittivity and permeability demanded using nonferrous metals for powder-type grows up, we need sensors and methods which can measure characteristics of powder-type materials. So far measuring methods of permittivity and permeability with waveguide or coaxial cable are used but they have faults which have a complex measurement method and are difficult to simultaneously measure permittivity and permeability. In this paper, a simultaneous measuring method of permittivity and permeability with 2-port coaxial cable and a new proposed calculation. The proposed 2-port coaxial cable is designed to be easy to insert materials and to have a wideband. We measure permittivity and permeability of magnetic powder(Ni-Fe-Mo, Ni-Fe) which reveal its characteristic at $0.3{\sim}1.3GHz$ to identify the proposed sensor.

RF magnetron sputtering법으로 제조한 $MoO_3$ 박막의 가스 감지 특성 및 첨가물의 영향 (Gas Sensing Characteristics and Doping Effect of $MoO_3$ Thin Films prepared by RF magnetron sputtering)

  • $MoO_3$ thin films were deposited on electrode and heater screen-printed alumina substrates in $O_2$ atmosphere by RF reactive sputtering using Molybdenum metal target. The deposition was performed at $300^{\circ}C$ with 350W of a forward power in an $Ar-O_2$ atmosphere. The working pressure was maintained at $3{\times}10^{-2}mtorr$ and all deposited films were annealed at $500^{\circ}C$ for 5hours. To investigate gas sensing characteristics of the addition doped $MoO_3$ thin film, Co, Ni and Pt were used as adding dopants. The sensing properties were investigated in tenn of gas concentration under exposure of reducing gases such as $H_2$, $NH_3$ and CO at optimum working temperature. Co-doped $MoO_3$ thin film shows the maximum 46.8% of sensitivity in $NH_3$ and Ni-doped $MoO_3$ thin film exhibits 49.7% of sensitivity in $H_2$.

  • Materials that can be used for 3D printing have been developed in terms of phase and functionality. Materials should also be easily printed with high accuracy. In recent years, the concept of 4D printing has been extended to materials whose physical properties such as shape or volume can change depending on the environment. Typically, such high-performance 3D printing materials include bio-inks and inks for sensors. This study deals with the optimization of the manufacturing method to improve the functional properties of the pressure sensitive material, which can be used as a sensor based on change of the resistance according to the pressure. Specifically, the number of milling for dispersion, the ratio of hardener for controlling elasticity, and the content of MWCNTs were optimized. As a result, a method of manufacturing a highly sensitive pressure-sensitive ink capable of use in 3D printing was introduced.

매트릭스 패턴 영상의 관심 영역 추출 방법 및 하드웨어 구현 (Region of Interest Extraction Method and Hardware Implementation of Matrix Pattern Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 터치 센서방법과 초음파나 레이저를 사용하는 방법이 아닌 디스플레이에 프린트된 매트릭스 패턴 영상을 이용하여 위치 정보를 추출하는 시스템의 패턴 영상의 특징점을 찾고 관심 영역의 영상을 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 방법은 패턴 영상의 조도값과 패턴의 특징을 이용하여 촬영된 영상의 회전된 각도와 신뢰성 있는 특징점을 찾고 관심영역을 추출한다. 성공적인 관심 영역 추출을 위해서 다양한 각도에서 판서된 패턴영상을 이용하여 위치 관심영역 추출을 테스트하였고 성공적으로 관심영역을 추출하는 것을 확인하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 OpenCV와 Window 프로그램을 사용하여 소프트웨어적으로 검증하고, 또한, Verilog-HDL을 사용하여 하드웨어 시스템을 설계하고, Xilinx FPGA(xc6vlx760) 보드를 이용하여 검증하였다.
