  • In this paper, the active noise controll system in duct is analyzed with real time implementation. The primary noise signal detected by microphone is modeled using adaptive algorithm and the secondary signal which has the same amplitude and $180^{\circ}$ phase shift with the primary noise signal is generated in the controller. The signal processor DSP56001 is used to implement the real-time controller and the experimental results shows that our system can reduce the noise level in duct to $20{\sim}40$ [db].

  • The purpose of our research is to identify the critical variables and to develop a new methodology for market segmentation of online game market. Our research tested the model with Korean online game users because Korean online game industry is the frontier of global online game industries. Conclusively, the critical variables are the suitability of feedback, the reality of design, the precision of information and the involvement of virtual community. The analysis of segmentation shows that the primary target audiences are positively influenced by the reality of design and the involvement of virtual community. To attract the primary target audiences, online game companies should develop strategies depending on the effectiveness of the variables and the demographic and behavioral characteristics of target audiences.

  • Natural clays are composed of oxide layers whose thickness is about 1nm and cations existing between the layers. A number of these layers makes primary particles with a height of about 8∼10nm and these primary particles make aggregates with a size of about 0.1∼10$\mu\textrm{m}$. When layered silicate was made to be organophilic, by exchanging the interlayer cations with organic cationic molecules, the matrix polymer can penetrate between the layers to give a nanocomposite, where 1nm-scal clay layers exist separately in a continuous polymer matrix. These nanostructured hybrid organic-inorganic composites have attracted the great interest of researchers over the last 10 years. They exhibit improved performance properties compared with conventional composites, because their unique phase morphology by layer intercalation or exfoliation maximizes interfacial contact between the organic and inorganic phases and enhances interfacial properties. Since the advent of nylon-6/montmorillonite nanocomposite developed by Toyota Motor Co., the studies on layered silicate-polymer nanocomposites have been successfully extended to other polymer systems. They greatly improved the thermal, mechanical, barrier, and even the flame-retardant properties of the polymers.

  • Photoemission is a process in which photons are converted into free electrons. Photocathodes are the typical materials for the process. They emit electrons when a light is irradiated upon. The traditional method of manufacturing photocathodes is complicated, requires specialized equipment, and is limited very small sized samples. $Cs_3Sb$ photocathode was formed on a substrate in $N_2$ atmospheric conditions. The photocathode formation was a gas phase reaction with the substrate. Vacuum devices were made to test electron emission characteristics of the formed photocathode. Visible light of wavelength 475 nm was used for the primary light source. The results showed high current density and long term stability of the photoelectron emission.

  • In this study, the deformation behavior of semi-solid Al-Si alloy was investigated by nanoindenter as a part of the research on the surface crack behavior in thixoformed automobile component. The microstructure of semi-solid Al-Si alloy consists of primary and eutectic regions. In eutectic regions the crack initiation begins with initial fracture of the eutectic silicon particles and inside other intermetallic phases. Nano-deformation characteristics in the eutectic and primary phase of semi-solid aluminium alloy were investigated through the nano-indentation experiments and the AFM observation. In addition, mechanical properties of each region were investigated and compared with each other.

  • The standard drag force and virtual mass force, which exert to the primary flow direction, are generally considered in two-phase analysis computational codes. In this paper, the lift force, wall lubrication force, and turbulent dispersion force including turbulence models, which are essential for a computational multi-fluid dynamics model and play an important role in motion perpendicular to the primary flow direction, were introduced and verified with conceptual problems.

  • Stainless steel are widely applicable in various engineering fields for its exellent corrosion and impact ressistance. Austenitic weld metal has some ferrite for preventing solidification cracking by ASME specification. Several family of austenic stainless steel contains varying ferrite contents. But ferrite in austenic stainless steels is adversely affect weld metal toughness and since fully austenic grades are known to have good toughness. Austenic stainless steel has various alloying addition for improving corrosion resistance, impact toughness and solidification crack resistance. The effect of various alloying elements are not found to be clear in present. From this view of point, this study tried to establish the criteria of alloy design for austenic stainless steel by controlling primary solidification mode and clarifying the effect of several alloying elements.

  • This paper presents the ZVZCS(Zero- Voltage and Zero-Current-Switching) Full-Bridge converter using the secondary coupled inductor and auxiliary capacitor. The converter with phase-shift control is proposed to reduce the circulating loss in primary and the voltage stress in secondary side. Using a coupled winding of the output inductor, two auxiliary capacitors are generated to reset the primary current at circulating interval.

  • Directional solidification of Al-Ti peritetic alloys was carried out using Upward Continuous Casting Process. The morphology of a solid-liquid interface and solidification microstructures were investigated under various crystal growing conditions. The experimental results were compared with those attained by the Bridgman method. The cell spacing of the Al-Ti peritetic alloys and the primary dendrite arm spacing of the Al-Ti peritetic alloys decreased with an increase in pulling speed. The primary ${\beta}$ phase of the Al-Cr and Al-Ti peritectic alloys did not appear in solidification microstructures because of the depleted solute contents in the melt ahead of the solid-liquid interface.

  • A three-dimensional model has been developed for pulverized coal combusters and gasifiers. Coal devolatilization, heterogeneous char oxidation, gas particle interchange, radiation, gas phase oxidation, primary and secondary stream mixing, and heat losses are considered. A finite difference method was used to solve the ordinary non-linear differential equations. The effects of primary and secondary stream flow ratio and coal particle size are investigated.
