The environment of automobile industry in the world is rapidly changing. It is changing of high oil price, technology, environment and construction of competition by newly rising an economic district. Automobile company is focusing on three issue because they want to reinforce competition of automobile industry in the world. That is innovation of production profit management through quality management and Lean. Chance of success is separated in R&D, providing distribution, manufacture, distribution, selling in automobile industry. Emphasis on development process, distribution process, manufacture process, circulation and selling process for strengthening the competitiveness and guarantee. In this thesis, we try to analysis the data set period of automobile production by using survival analysis. While using mean comparison of general statistics commit mistakes, survival analysis can used for including censored data in order to heighten analysis efficiency.

It is very difficult to compare directly the research results of enzymatic process in pulp and paper industry because commercial enzymes have diversity in its property. The chemical and biological properties of commercial enzymes were Investigated to help comparison of various commercial enzymes each other. In most case, the solid content of liquid enzymes was about 20%. The higher protein content in enzyme product does not mean the higher enzyme activity. Enzymes for paper process should selected by basis of enzyme activity, not by price of enzyme products. The chemical composition of fiber was not so much change with enzyme treatment. The enzymatic hydrolysis of fiber might negligible in paper process.

Rapid technological advancements and widespread adoption of smart phones in recent years provide students with new opportunities for getting knowledge and making researches in innovation century. As the penetration of smart phone devices in education increases, there is a large growth in the use of these devices especially among the youth. In spite of increasing importance of smart devices in education, the significant features of these technology devices for general learning have not been experientially addressed. In this study we are going to investigate the comparison of smart phone devices and find the necessary conditions for using mobile devices as an educational tool by a conjoint method. There will be five attributes: screen size, batter type, mobile OS, memory capacity and price. By surveying we got the results which showed us the respondents' desire of using specific smart phone; thus, we defined that screen size attribute is the most important device characteristic.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate index numbers by conducting various comparisons among the widely used index formulas. The comparison is considered in three ways; 1) divergences in the magnitudes of index numbers due to the use of different formulas (Laspeyres, Paasche, Fisher, and Tornqvist); 2) the effect of selection of base year (fixed-year base vs. chain-type); 3) the degree of approximation of indirect to direct quantity index. The empirical application is to sawmills and planing mills industry of U.S. using a national time series data covering years of 1948-2000. The results show that the differences between Laspeyres and Paasche index can be substantial in some cases while the difference between Fisher and Tornqvist index is minimal. We also confirm that the selection of base year can cause significant divergences, especially when the variables undergo rapid price or quantity changes over time. We find that indirect quantity index approximates direct quantity index reasonably well in U.S. sawmill industry.

An aerial target system is used for the purpose of experimental test and fire training of missile that newly developed and in mass production. Since the target drones of aerial target systems are monopolized by several major countries so that they are selling at a high price. In this paper, we present the CFD simulation results on a new target drone that Kyungan co. ltd is developing with their own technologies. The presented CFD simulation was conducted in the same conditions of a wind tunnel tests and we could obtain the simulation results of the lift and drag values were in errors by less than 15 percent compared to the experiment. The simulation results were used to determine the modified shapes of new prototype target drone that could fly safely.

This study regarded fashion selection criteria as clothing consumption value and desired fashion images, and examined selection differences according to regional subculture groups. Clothing consumption value is a direct value that people seek with clothing products and a perceived value which is divided into emotional, social, price, quality values. Fashion image which is a feeling communicated to others by wearing a certain fashion style is the most superficial value. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was performed to test the differences between regional subculture groups in clothing consumption values and desired fashion images. We found some differences in clothing consumption value specifically in emotional value and social value. The group differences were remarkably significant in fashion image comparison. 'Kang-nam' group pursued 'lively', 'sophisticated', 'charming', feminine', 'gorgeous' image more than 'Kang-buk' group. While 'Kang-buk' group produced lower scores in ideal fashion images, the group had significant higher seeking in 'sportive' image compared to 'Kangnam' group.

To examine the opinions of consumers concerning the ricecake as a traditional food, we conducted the study of the cognition and interests of children and mothers ricecake for its popularization. Our subjects of study were elementary school children as the future consumers and their mothers as the present consumers. The results were as follows: children favored to eat much more western style food and sweet food than did mothers. All of children and mothers liked traditional food and ricecake, but children did not know how to prepare the traditional food and ricecake, indicating thenecessity of the education of ricecake-making. All of them were satisfied with the taste of ricecake 'on sale, but not with packaging designs and price of ricecake. Development of packaging designs was required for popularization of ricecake to spread worldwide.

The purpose of this research is to understand the effects of Quality Management Award on stock prices movement and to examine the comparative advantages of quality award system in Korea and the U.S. This study compares the performances of QM Award companies in the stock market with those of the market index in both countries. We develop Korean Quality Award Index(KQA Index) based on the Baldrige Index of NIST in the U.S. We inspect three studies. Study 1 tests if the performances of MB Award winners and S&P500 index have a difference in the stock market. Study 2 tests if the performances of KQA winners and KOSPI(Korean Composite Stock Price Index) have a difference in the stock market. Study 3 tests if the performances of KQA winners and MB Award winners have a difference in the stock market. From the empirical tests, the performances of KQA winners are superior to those of KOSPI and the performances of MB Award winners are superior to those of S&P500 and the performances of MB Award winners are superior to those of KQA winners.

Powder injection molding(PIM) is widely used for many parts in the field of automotives, electronics and medical industries, due to the capability of net shaping for complex 3-D geometry. Powder injection mold design for the dental scaler tip, a component of medical appliance, was presented. In comparison with conventional machining process, powder injection molding has many advantages, specially in price and dimensional stability, for molding dental scaler tip which has complex geometry. Both product design and mold design for dental scaler tip were presented. A PIM feedstock was made of stainless series(17-4PH, 316L, 440C) powder and a wax based binder. The 'rapid mold' concept was applied to manufacture the various forms and materials of dental scaler tip including vibration characteristics.

Due to high oil price and global warming of the earth, investments for renewable energy have been increased a lot continuously. Specially, wind power has been received a great attention in the world. In order to construct a new wind farm, forecasting of wind power generation is essential for a feasibility test. This paper investigates wind velocity measurement data of Gosan weather station which located in Hankyung of Jeju island. This paper presents results of estimation of wind power generation using digital weather forecast provided from Korea meteorological administration, and the accuracy of the wind power forecasting by comparison between forecasted data and actual wind power data.
