Design codes have specified the minimum shear reinforcement requirement for reinforced concrete (RC) and prestressed concrete (PSC) members to prevent brittle and premature shear failure. They are, however, very different from one another, and particularly, ACI318 code allows the required minimum shear reinforcement to be reduced in PSC members, compared to that in RC members, by specifying the additional equation for PSC members whose basis is not clear. In this paper, the minimum shear reinforcement ratio for PSC members was proposed, which can provide a sufficient reserved shear strength and deformation capacity. The proposed equation was also verified by the test results of PSC specimens lightly reinforced in shear, comparing to design codes and other proposed equations from previous studies.
The present study proposes a realistic method to analyze the prestressed concrete members subjected to torsion. For this end, this study devises a method to realistically take into account
the tensile stiffness of concrete after cracking. The effects of biaxial compressive and tensile loadings on the compressive and tensile strengths of concrete are also taken into account in the present model. The comparison of the present theory with experimental data indicates that the proposed model dipicts reasonably well the actual behavior of prestressed concrete members subjected to torsion. The present model can predict not only the service load behavior, but also up to the behavior of ultimate load stages.
In pretensioned concrete structures, bond between prestressing steel and concrete is an essential component to ensure the integrity of a pretensioned member. The anchorage and development of the prestressing force depend exclusively on bond. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of bond and development length between pretensioned steel and concrete. To resolve the controversy over the adequacy of the current code provision on development length of prestressing strands, a comprehensive test program has been scheduled and twenty four rectangular prestressed concrete beams have been tested to determine development length. Major test variables include diameter of strands (12.7mm, 15.2mm) and concrete covers (3cm, 4cm, 5cm). The test results indicate that the development length based on the bond stress-slip relation. The proposed model can evaluate realistically the development length of pretensioned prestressed concrete members and can be the good basis for the future basis of code equations on development length of PSC members.

This paper investigates on the use of advanced optical measurement methods, i.e. 3D coordinate measurement machines (3D CMM) and stereo-vision digital image correlation (3D DIC), for the mechanical analysis of shear deficient prestressed concrete members. Firstly, the experimental program is elaborated. Secondly, the working principle, experimental setup and corresponding accuracy and precision of the considered optical measurement techniques are reported. A novel way to apply synthesised strain sensor patterns for DIC is introduced. Thirdly, the experimental results are reported and an analysis is made of the structural behaviour based on the gathered experimental data. Both techniques yielded useful and complete data in comparison to traditional mechanical measurement techniques and allowed for the assessment of the mechanical behaviour of the reported test specimens. The identified structural behaviour presented in this paper can be used to optimize design procedure for shear-critical structural concrete members.

Following the previous paper, the results of test are further presented. As partially prestressed concrete members permit cracks under the service state, deflection and crack control of partially prestressed concrete members is more important than that of reinforced or fully prestressed concrete members. By the test results of load-deflection relation, it can be shown that prestressing ratio significantly affects the behavior of partially prestressed concrete beams. Deflection prediction formula of some codes are tried, and test results are compared with various fomulae of crack spacing and crack width.

Time dependent analysis of prestressed concrete beams subjected to pure torsion is studied. The present theory covers the behavior from the service load range to the ultimate stage. The tensile resistance of concrete is appropriately considered. The biaxial stress effects due to diagonal cracking are also taken into account. The time dependent aging, creep and shringkage effects are modelled by employing the equivalent nonmechanical torque concept. The present theory allows more accurate prediction of the service load behavior of pretressed concrete members.

In this study, shear tests on steel fiber reinforced-prestressed concrete (SFR-PSC) members were conducted with test parameters of the concrete compressive strength, the volume fraction of steel fibers, and the level of effective prestress. The SFR-PSC members showed higher shear strengths and stiffness after diagonal cracking compared to the conventional prestressed concrete (PSC) members without steel fibers. In addition, their shear deformational behavior was measured using the image-based non-contact displacement measurement system, which was then compared to the results of nonlinear finite element analyses (NLFEA). In the NLFEA proposed in this study, a bi-axial tensile behavior model, which can reflect the tensile behavior of the steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) in a simple manner, was introduced into the smeared crack truss model. The NLFEA model proposed in this study provided a good estimation of shear behavior of the SFRPSC members, such as the stiffness, strengths, and failure modes, reflecting the effect of the key influential factors.

In the seismic design of building structural members, due to the complexity of the placement of PC steels in prestressed concrete members, it is necessary to review and define the definition of member damage in comparison with reinforced concrete members. In this study, the results of past experiments compared with the calculation results by 'section Analysis Method', with the aim of reviewing the precision of calculation results when member damage evaluation is performed using the section analysis method. Furthermore, it is also compared with the calculation results by the 'split Element Method'. In addition, parametric studies were carried out, and the influence of the difference between the amount of PC steels and reinforced bar on the residual strain was examined.

This paper showed the behavior of the material four members under blast load, and are trying to demonstrate the effectiveness of the prestress. The prestressed concrete structures are on the rise, but there is little research in this regard explosion. Concrete panels, Reinforced concrete panels, the prestressed concrete panels, and the prestressed reinforced concrete panels was set variables. TNT 500 kg was an explosion in the distance 3m. Analysis, concrete and reinforced concrete members after an explosion occurred continuously deformed, but the including prestressed panel deformation occurs only at the beginning of the explosion were able to see the results. That is, the including prestressed member is prestressed against blast load cracking and destruction can be seen that control.
