복합 발전소 주급수 재순환 배관계의 고진동 현상 및 대책 (Examination on High Vibration of Recirculation System for Feed Water Piping in Combined Cycle Power Plant)

  • The feed-water piping system constitutes a complex flow impedance network incorporating dynamic transfer characteristics which will amplify some pulsation frequencies. Understanding pressure pulsation waves for the feed-water recirculation piping system with cavitation problem of flow control valve is very important to prevent acoustic resonance. Feed water recirculation piping system is excited by potential sources of the shock pulse waves by cavitation of flow control valve. The pulsation becomes the source of structural vibration at the piping system. If it coincides with the natural frequency of the pipe system, excessive vibration results. High-level vibration due to the pressure pulsation affects the reliability of the plant piping system. This paper discusses the piping vibration due to the effect of shock pulsation by the cavitation of the flow control valves for the recirculation piping of feed-water pump system in combined cycle power plants.

내부 감육 배관의 손상압력 평가 모델 개발 (Development of Failure Pressure Evaluation Model for Internally Well Thinned Piping Components)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop failure pressure evaluation models, which are applicable to straight pipes and elbows containing an internally wall thinning defect induced by flow-accelerated-corrosion (FAC). In this study, thus, three dimensional finite element (FE) analyses are performed to investigate the dependences of failure pressure of internally wall thinned pipe on the defect shape, the pipe geometry, and the defect location and bend radius of elbow. Also, the existing failure pressure assessment models for externally wall thinned pipes are examined. Based on these, the new models for assessing failure pressure of piping components with an internally wall thinning defect are proposed. Comparison of failure pressure, predicted by proposed models, with FE analysis result shows good agreement regardless of pipe type, defect shape, and defect location and bend radius.

해양플랜트 프로세스 배관 Pressure Leak Test의 품질 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Quality Characteristics of Pressure Leak Test of Process Piping for Offshore Plant)

  • The process gas piping of the offshore plant can cause a massive explosion if the gas leakage occurs during operation. For the purpose of precaution of gas leakage accident, an air pressure test is performed on the process equipment tests using a test pump as much as the power to the piping inner side, mix 99% nitrogen gas and 1% helium gas. The purpose of the air pressure test is to check the work conformity process by handling and regulation for initial piping process, assembly, installation of module, welding, center alignment of the pipes assembling flange gasket in an unrestrained free state. In this paper, the regulation of the problematic air pressure test was analyzed and the solution criteria were established. And leakage tests of existing equipment were performed applying these solution methods. As a result, it was confirmed that there was no problem.

고온 화력 P91강 재열증기배관의 건전성 제고 방안 (Schemes to enhance the integrity of P91 steel reheat steam pipe of a high-temperature thermal plant)

  • A number of so-called 'Type IV' cracking was reported to occur at the welded joints of the P91 steel or P92 steel reheat steam piping systems in Korean supercritical thermal power plants. The reheat steam piping systems are subjected to severe thermal and pressure loading conditions of coolant higher than 570℃ and 4MPa, respectively. In this study, piping analyses and design evaluations were conducted for the piping system of a specific thermal plant in Korea and suggestions were made how structural integrity could be improved so that type IV cracks at the welded joints could be prevented. Integrity evaluations were conducted as per ASME B31.1 code with implicit consideration of creep effects which was used in original design of the piping system and as per nuclear-grade RCC-MRx code with explicit consideration of creep effects. Comparisons were made between the evaluation results from the two design rules. Another approach with modification or reduction of the redundant supports in the piping systems was investigated as a tool to mitigate thermal stresses which should essentially contribute to prevention of Type IV cracking without major modification of the existing piping systems. In addition, a post weld heat treatment method and repair weld method which could improve integrity of the welded joint of P91 steel were investigated.

탄성추종계수를 이용한 고온 배관계의 크리프 응력 예측 (Prediction of Creep Stress in High Temperature Piping System Using Elastic Follow-up Factor)

  • When designing high temperature piping system, creep phenomena must be considered. Since ASME code does not provide detailed methods of design by rule (DBR) for high temperature piping, Finite element analysis should be performed. However, In the case of piping system with frequent design changes, creep analysis of the entire piping system for every change is ineffective and practically impossible. Therefore, based on elastic and elastic-plastic analysis, which takes a relatively short time, the creep stress is predicted by using elastic follow-up factor method provided in R5 code and plastic-creep analogy presented by Hoff. The predicted creep stress for a virtual piping system was compared with the creep analysis result and the two results showed similar stress relaxation tendency in time.

원자력발전소 비안전등급 배관의 내진해석 방법론 연구 (Seismic Analysis Methodology for Non-Nuclear Safety Piping in Nuclear Power Plants)

  • Currently, there is no technical standard and regulation for seismic analysis of non-nuclear safety piping. Accordingly, ASME Sec.III ND, a standards applied to safety class 3 piping, is applied. However, the technical standard applied for other than seismic analysis is ASME B31, which leads to controversy. In this study, the feasibility of applying ASME B31E was confirmed by reviewing rulescomparing technical standards, and evaluating piping allowable stress margins. The evaluation revealed that applying ASME B31.1 as a technical standard is too conservative compared to ASME Sec.III ND. On the other hand, ASME B31E (issued at the request of the industry) clearly presents the technical standards for seismic analysis of ASME B31 piping, and shows a similar level of conservatism compared to ASME Sec.III ND. It is expected to reduce the controversy over technical standards for seismic analysis of non-nuclear safety piping by applying ASME B31E.

화력발전소 주증기배관에서 밸브 차단에 따른 수증기 충격 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Steam Hammering Characteristics by Sudden Closure of Main Stop Valve in the Main Steam Piping System of a Power Plant)

  • 본 연구는 화력발전소 최종과열기에서 고압터빈 사이 배관과 고압터빈을 지난 곳에 있는 체크밸브와 1차 재열기 사이 배관을 포함한 수증기 배관시스템에서 터빈의 급작스런 사고로 인해 터빈으로 들어가는 수증기를 차단할 때 발생하는 수증기 충격이 배관시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구이다. 이를 위해서 수격현상 해석에 많이 사용하는 Flowmaster 소프트웨어로 배관시스템을 모델링하고 시간 변화에 따라 배관 내부의 압력, 질량유량률의 특성을 파악하였다. 이러한 특성으로부터 수증기 충격이 주로 영향을 미치는 곡관에서 수증기 충격에 의한 힘을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 수증기 충격은 주증기 차단 밸브 직전의 곡관과 체크밸브 이후에 바이패스 배관과 연결되는 곡관에서 수증기 충격에 의한 힘이 가장 크게 나타남을 밝혀냈다. 본 연구에서는 이렇게 도출한 힘의 기본 자료를 이용하여 차후 연구에서 화력발전소 수증기 배관시스템의 수증기 충격 시 곡관과 지지대의 안전성을 진단하는 토대를 구축하였다.

수격파를 이용한 배관 세정기 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Water Hammering Cleaner System for Pipeline)

  • In order to develop the water hammering cleaner system for removing scale and slime in inner metal or non-metal piping wall, the flow characteristics are investigated by numerical and experimental methods. The air bubbles in the piping systems as a shock wave are formed and transferred with the water flow in the piping. The governing equations are derived from making using of three-dimensional Wavier-Stokes equations with the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm. Pressure distributions in the pipeline are calculated for different air supply pressures. Also, we prepared some experimental results of the pressure differences for various air supply times.

다단 블로어 덕트형상에 따른 압력특성 연구 (Pressure Characteristics According to the Duct Shapes of Turbo Blowers Connected in Serial)

  • Pressure characteristics according to the duct shapes of turbo blowers connected in serial have been performed to reduce pressure loss in the piping system. To analyze three-dimensional flow field in the turbo blower system, general analysis code, CFX, is introduced in the present work. SST turbulence model is applied to estimate the eddy viscosity. Throughout the numerical simulation for the turbo blower system having a various shape of a inlet guide, optimal inlet guide can be selected. It is found that the pressure loss in the piping system having the optimal inlet guide can be reduced by minimizing the inflow distortion at the upstream of the impeller. Detailed flow analysis of the blower system serially connected is also performed and analyzed.

지하매설 고압 가연성 가스 배관의 누출시나리오에 따른 피해 영향 거리 (Investigation on Damage Effect Distance for High Pressure underground Flammable Gas Pipelines)

  • Defects in piping caused by corrosion or external impact of underground piping can lead to high risk of rupture of the piping due to high pressure. Flammable gas can be immediately ignited when discharged from piping, causing a jetfire. The damage of the radiant heat not only threatens the health of the workers who work in the industry but also the health of the people living in the neighboring residential areas. It is important to prevent and prepare before an accident occurs. In this study, three types of flammable gas underground piping accident scenarios were investigated, and the ranges of influence were determined using Phast ver7.2. and finally regression models were formulated to predict the ranges using excel and Matlab.
