초임계 이산화탄소에 의한 감귤박으로부터 카로테노이드 추출 조건의 최적화 (Optimization in Extraction Conditions of Carotenoids from Citrus unshiu Press Cake by Supercritical Carbon Dioxide)

  • 초임계 이산화탄소를 이용하여 감귤박으로부터 ${\beta}$-cryptoxanthin을 포함한 carotenoids의 추출수율을 극대화하기 위하여, 주요 요인 변수인 추출 압력, 추출시간, 보조용매의 농도 등 추출 조건을 반응표면분석법에 의해 최적화하였다. Total carotenoids와 ${\beta}$-cryptoxanthin의 추출수율에 대한 반응표면 회귀방정식의 $R^2$는 각각 0.9789과 0.9796이었고, 1% 이내의 수준에서 유의성이 인정되었다. 추출조건에 따라 예측된 정상점은 안장점이었으며 능선분석을 실시한 결과 total carotenoids과 ${\beta}$-cryptoxanthin의 최대 추출수율은 각각 61.1%와 95.8%로 예측되었으며, 이 때의 추출 압력, 추출시간, ethanol의 농도는 각각 33.4MPa/39.6min/18.6%와 37.3 MPa/41.0 min/17.0%이었다. Total carotenoids의 추출수율은 추출 압력의 증가에 따라 증가하였지만 압력이 높을수록 일정한 값에 도달하는 경향을 보인 반면, 추출시간과 보조용매의 농도 증가에 따라 연속적으로 증가하였다. ${\beta}-Cryptoxanthin$의 추출수율은 추출 압력, 추출시간, 보조용매의 농도 증가에 따라 연속적으로 증가하였다. 감귤박으로부터 carotenoids의 추출에는 추출시간과 보조용매의 농도 사이의 상호작용이 중요한 역할을 하였다.

라디에타소나무 열압밀화 목재의 경도와 치수안정성 - 압체 온도와 시간의 영향 - (Hardness and Dimensional Stability of Radiata Pine (Pinus radiata D.Don) Heat-Compressed Wood - Effect of Press Temperature & Time -)

  • 라디에타 소나무(Pinus radiata D.Don)를 이용하여 압체 온도와 시간에 따른 압밀화 목재의 경도와 치수안 정성을 조사하였다. 압체 온도가 상승함에 따라 표면경도도 함께 증가하였다. 열압체 시간 30분을 기준으로 압체 온도 $70^{\circ}C$에서는 경도 값이 5.0 N/$mm^2$, $220^{\circ}C$에서 15.6 N/$mm^2$으로 312% 향상되었으며, 60분에서는 313%, 90분에서는 224% 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 치수회복실험 결과 열압체 온도가 상승함에 따라 치수고정효과는 상승한 반면 압체 시간의 증가에 의한 치수고정효과는 미약하였다. 접촉각 측정결과 압체 온도와 시간의 증가와 함께 접촉각도 증가했으며 압체 온도 $220^{\circ}C$에서는 $90^{\circ}$ 이상의 접촉각을 나타내어 표면이 소수성을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.

A reliability-based criterion of structural performance for structures with linear damping

  • The reliability analysis of structures subjected to stochastic loading involves evaluation of time and probability of the system's residence in a reference domain. In this paper, we derive an asymptotic estimate of exit time for multi-degrees-of-freedom structural systems. The system's dynamics is governed by the Lagrangian equations with linear dissipation and fast additive noise. The logarithmic asymptotic of exit time is found explicitly as a sum of two terms dependent on kinetic and potential energy of the system, respectively. As an example, we estimate exit time and an associated structural performance for a rocking structure.

A Process Planning System for Machining of Dies for Auto-Body Production-Operation Planning and NC Code Post-Processing

  • This paper presents a process and operation planning system and an NC code post-processor for effective machining of press dies for production of cars. Based on the machining feature, major parts of press dies are categorized into 15 groups and a standard process plan is defined for each group. The standard process plan consists of a series of processes where a process is defined as a group of operations that can be done with one setup. Details such as cutting tools, cutting conditions, and tool paths are decided at the operation planning stage. At the final stage of process and operation planning, the NC code post-processor adjusts feedrates along the tool path to reduce machining time while maintaining the quality. The adjustment rule is selected based on the machining load estimated by virtual machining.

  • Furthermore the rothor pole, with a solid type, manufactured by cold forging process at present should dmploy 3 press lines which consist of total 7 processes. Since A.S.B. treatment is prerequisite for the press line, the 3 times of A.S.B. treatment requires a long lead time, with little contribution to the reduction in cost. The author has investigated, through this researach, the possibility of a new forging method for a rotor pole production with (1) 2 pass instead of 3 press lines (2) only one A.S.B. treatment instead of 3 ones (3) solid type instead of sectional type, and (4) improvment of material property during process using a modified forging process and a specially designed die.

  • Glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites were manufactured by Rapid Press Consolidation Technique(RPCT) as functions of temperature, pressure and time in pre-heating, consolidation and solidification sections during the manufacturing processing. It was found that the material property is greatly affected by pre-heating temperature under vacuum, mold temperature and molding pressure. Among them, the temperature In the mold was the most critical factor in determining the mechanical properties and the molded conditions of specimen. The crystallinity of PET matrix was also investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) measurements for various processing conditions. The level of crystallinity($X_c$) depended strongly on the mold temperature, cooling rate and the type of composite. The difference in $X_c$ is believed to be one of important factors in characterizing the mechanical properties.

  • A crank-slider mechanism is driven by the rotating disk with are crank-pin guide to be applied to the deep drawing and cold forging presses. Load characteristics for different presses are summarized to see the basics of deep drawing of sheet metal and forging in terms of load-stroke relationship. Several types of conventional deep drawing presses are also shown to be compared with the ratating disk-types press. Kinematic performances by thearc guide driving mechanism are anlayzed in terms of load capaicty, stroke, and slide velocity characteristics, and they are compared with those by conventional driving , e.g. Niagara-typepress and so on. Kinematically better performances is shown by arc guide drive than those by conventional ones. The new driving mechanism is also proven to be one of the best for mass production press in terms of short cycle time. Possible applications of the arc guide press to deep drawing and cold forging work are in terms of kinematics and load capacity.

  • To achieve rapid developments and cost savings in manufacturing industries including automotive die shops, new paradigm and its supporting systems of information managements through total product life cycle are needed for concurrent and collaborative engineering. For manufacturing of automotive press dies, integrated and efficient managements of PPR information including product, manufacturing process and resource are essential. In this paper, we introduce a PLM approach to achieve engineering collaborations in product development and production of automotive dies. To prove concepts and benefits of PPR information managements, we implement new business workflow and detail procedures, PPR information management system and other related applications. By PPR information managements in PLM, improvements in quality of engineering results and savings in time from design to production of dies are possible.

  • In this paper an assessment has been proceeded about component technology that stamping car panel can be designed and manufactured efficiently. Also this study investigate standard model of CAD/CAM system in production process of automobile dies, Recently, motor companies are doing their best to increase productivity and to reduce production time. So to develop user-friendly and effective standard model of CAD/CAM system is very important. The cbtained results will lead to the reductions in lead time and man-hour required for the design and manufacture of the automobile dies.

  • Press machine has advantage over other manufacturing machine which can produce large quantities of products in short time so it is widely used in lots of industrial sectors. However, vibration problems may occur when operating a high pressure. It has been subjected to the condition monitoring vibration sensors attached to the main point. We perform the maintenance before a failure occurs, the system receives a high load. In this paper, in order to determine the structural characteristics for the transport system to conduct the vibaration and shock analysis.
