Press-fit 단자 접합특성 및 신뢰성 (Bonding Property and Reliability for Press-fit Interconnection)

  • 전자부품에 대한 보드실장은 아직까지 솔더를 이용한 접합기술을 주로 이용하고 있다. 그러나, 솔더의 크? 및 피로특성으로 인한 접합부 내구한계로, 자동차 전장모듈에서는 반영구적인 접합기술인 프레스 핏(Press-fit) 접합기술 적용을 확대하고 있다. 프레스 핏 접합은 프레스 핏 금속단자를 보드내 쓰루 홀(Through hole)에 기계적으로 삽입하여 체결하는 접합기술로써, 적절한 금속단자의 소성변형으로 쓰루 홀 내부 표면접합을 밀착시킴으로써 강건한 접합을 유도한다. 본 논문에서는 보드내 쓰루 홀 크기 및 표면처리에 따른 프레스 핏 접합 특성 및 신뢰성을 솔더링과 함께 비교하기 위해, 보드 쓰루 홀 크기에 따른 삽입강도 및 삽발강도를 평가하였으며, 열충격 시험을 통한 실시간 저항변화를 통해 프레스 핏 및 솔더링 접합부의 저항변화를 관찰하였다. 또한, 각 접합부위 분석을 통한 프레스 핏 및 솔더링 접합열화를 분석하여 주요 파손모드를 고찰하고자 하였다.

프레스성형공정에서 금형에 전달되는 진동 신호에 기반한 공정특성 분석에 대한 연구 (A Study on Process Characterization based on Vibration Signals Transmitted to the Mold in the Press Molding Process)

  • In this study, the vibration signal of the mold was measured and analyzed to monitor the process information and characteristics during the press molding process. A necklace-type picture frame mold was used for press molding, and the vibration signal was measured by GY-61 acceleration sensor module attached to the surface of the upper (movable) mold base. The change of the vibration signal of the mold according to press speed was analyzed. As a result, the vibration signal had a large change at five sections: "Holder contact", "Punch contact and start of pressing", "End of pressing", "Mold open", and "Demolding". The time difference between "Punch contact and start of pressing" and "End of pressing" means the pressing time which is the actual time the material is molded under pressing pressure. The time intervals for each section, represented by the time interval between "Holder contact" and "Punch contact and start of pressing", can be used to compare and evaluate the press speed applied to the process. By comparing the vibration signals at 60 rpm and 90 rpm, the amplitude at the section of "Punch contact and start of pressing" increased as the press speed increased. This result means that as the press speed increases, more force and pressure is applied to the material. Also, the peak values of the other sections were found to increase as the press speed increased. It was found that the pressing time, the time interval between "Punch contact and start of pressing" and "End of pressing", decreases as the pressing speed increases. Similarly, press speed factor, the time interval between "Holder contact", and "Punch contact and start of pressing", is found to be shorter. Therefore, based on the result of this study, the pressing time, press speed, pressing(punching) pressure of each cycle can be monitored by measuring the vibration signal of the mold. Also, it was confirmed that the level and trend of process information and characterization can be evaluated as the change of the mold vibration during press molding.

  • The printing industry is getting more digitalized and integration. It has enabled the interactive information and networking from Pre-Press, Press, to the Post-Press. These are efficient management and the improved process and productivity are getting more important. Such trends improved in the functionality and automation. This paper tries to find out how technology for CIP3/4-based process may be applied and resolved. Such subject includes the domestic and international cases regarding each manufacturer's CIP3/4 technology types. Another purpose is to emphasize on the needs to establish the environment. Under this environment, it is possible to integrate network in exchangeable form through JDF standard format after CIP3/4. Based on the data from this study, it is expected to collect further substantial data which is related to the domestic printing company's CIP4 operation. It will be also possible to perform subsequent studies on the proper variables of the market segment. CIP4 stands for "International Cooperation for Integration of Prepress, Press and Post-press, it is an association of around forty international companies, mostly manufacturers of prepress, press and post-press, as well as suppliers and users. In this paper, we studied on the acting application of CIP4 workflow.

프레스 자동화 공정을 위한 비전 기반 블랭크 정렬 장치 개발 (Development of a Vision-based Blank Alignment Unit for Press Automation Process)

  • A vision-based blank alignment unit for a press automation line is introduced in this paper. A press is a machine tool that changes the shape of a blank by applying pressure and is widely used in industries requiring mass production. In traditional press automation lines, a mechanical centering unit, which consists of guides and ball bearings, is employed to align a blank before a robot inserts it into the press. However it can only align limited sized and shaped of blanks. Moreover it cannot be applied to a process where more than two blanks are simultaneously inserted. To overcome these problems, we developed a press centering unit by means of vision sensors for press automation lines. The specification of the vision system is determined by considering information of the blank and the required accuracy. A vision application S/W with pattern recognition, camera calibration and monitoring functions is designed to successfully detect multiple blanks. Through real experiments with an industrial robot, we validated that the proposed system was able to align various sizes and shapes of blanks, and successfully detect more than two blanks which were simultaneously inserted.

다구찌 실험법에 의한 프레스 커터의 최적설계 (Optimized Design of a Press Cutter by a Taguchi's Experimental Method)

  • The press cutter is productive equipment that practically manufactures mechanical components and polymer-based materials such as fabrics, papers, films, leathers, and rubbers into the desired shapes using a press cutting tool. The plate cutting process is one of the primary energy absorbing mechanisms in a grounding or collision event between a press cutter and a material on a die. The cutting mechanism is complicated and involves plastic flows of a plate in the vicinity of the tip, friction between the wedge and the plate, deformation of the plate. In this paper, we studied the effect of friction between cutter and plastic sheet far producing precise and superior products. In this paper, the press cutter is analyzed numerically using MARC finite element program for a optimization design of a press cutter. The FEM computed results show that the maximum von Mises stress is concentrated on the tip of a press cutter, which may lead to the edge wear or impact wear of the sharp cutter. Based on the FEM result and Taguchi's experimental design method, the optimized design model 9 for a press cutter is recommended as a best one.

  • 제품 정밀도와 생산성 향상을 위해 고속프레스의 초고속화 및 초정밀화 기술이 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 그러나 고속프레스는 작동 속도 증가에 따라 슬라이드의 반복 위치 정밀도가 저하되고 프레스 구조 부품의 파손 위험성은 증가하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 고속프레스의 설계 정밀도를 향상시키기 위해서는 이런 문제점을 해석적으로 예측하고 설계에 미리 반영하는 것이 필요하다. 이번 연구에서는 편심 질량을 갖는 프레스 구동부 부품의 회전에 따른 동적 탄성 변형을 유한요소해석과 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 이를 통해 고속의 작동 조건에서 프레스의 정밀도와 파손 위험성 변화를 평가하였다.

  • The EV electric vehicle market is growing rapidly worldwide. An electric vehicle means a vehicle that uses energy charged through an electricity source as power. The precision of the press is important to mass-produce the drive motor, which is a key component of the electric vehicle. The size of the driving motor is increasing, and The size of the mold is also growing. In this study, the precision of large high-speed presses for mass production of driving motors was measured. A study was conducted on the measurement method of press and the analysis of measurement data. A drive motor is a component that transmits power by converting electrical energy into kinetic energy. EV driven motors have key material properties to improve efficiency. The material properties are the thickness of the material. As a method for improving performance, use a 0.2mm thin steel sheet. Mold is also becoming larger. As the mold grows, the size of the high-speed press for mass production of the driving motor is also increasing. Also, the precision of the press is the most important because it uses a thin iron plate material. So the importance of large press precision is being emphasized. 자동차용 알루미늄/복합재료 하이브리드 동력전달축의 압입접합부 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the design of the press fit joint for automotive aluminum/composite hybrid propeller shaft)

  • Press fitting method for joining of a hybrid tube and steel ring with small teeth for automotive aluminum/composite hybrid propeller shaft was devised to improve reliability and to reduce manufacturing cost, compared to other joining methods such as an adhesively bonded joint, bolted joint or welded joint. To obtain high strength of the press fit joint, an optimal design method for the teeth was devised with respect to number and shape of the steel teeth. Torsional static, fatigue tests and finite element analysis of the press fit joint were performed with respect to experimental variables. The developed optimal design method predicted well the static torque capability and failure mode of the press fit joint. Also, it provided design guide line of press fit joint for improving torsional static and fatigue characteristics.

  • The purpose of this paper is to supply the principal methods for the safety in the press industrial accident preventions and the basic analyzing theory in the press industrial accidents. It was reached the press machine installed companys and was analyzed the accident characteristics, types, the worker's working period and the distributed worker's age of the happened the press machine industrial accidents. The direct reasons are almost reasons of the press industrial accidents. But it should be not ignore the indirect reasons of the accidents In this study, it was presented that the safety devices is selected by the analyzed reasons in the press industrial accidents for the principal accident prevention.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 부품업체의 조립 공정에서 압입이나 볼트, 너트 체결에 주로 사용되는 프레스와 너트러너는 정밀도와 생산성 향상이 지속적으로 요구한다. 여러 대의 압입 시스템을 복합적으로 구성한 후 동기화를 통하여 일괄적인 제어를 수행하는 생산 시스템으로 시리얼 통신을 이용한 저속의 멀티 서보 프레스 시스템을 개발하였다. 그 결과로 정밀도와 생산성이 향상되었고 제품에 대한 품질향상을 이룰 수 있었다.
