김치용 월동배추 속소금 살포에 의한 적정 기계화 절임조건 (Optimal Conditions for Mechanized Salting Process of Salt-Inserting Method for Winter Cabbage to Produce Kimchi)

  • 본 연구는 김치제조용 월동배추의 속소금 살포 절임 기계화 작업의 표준화를 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 중대형 김치 공장을 조사하여 속소금 살포에 의한 배추의 기계화 절임의 주요변수를 구하였으며, 그 결과 절임염수 농도, 절임시간, 탈수시간이 주요변수임을 파악하였다. 절임 시 이 변수의 적정값을 구하기 위하여 일련의 실험실 기초실험을 월동배추를 사용하여 수행하였고, 그 실험 결과를 타 계절 배추 절임에 적용 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 타 계절 배추에 대해서도 실험하였다. 마지막으로 실험실 기초실험 결과의 정당성을 확인하기 위하여 공장 규모의 실증실험을 수행하였으며 그 결과 본 연구에서 얻은 결과는 공장 규모의 월동배추 속소금 살포 절임방법으로 권장할 만 함을 확인하였다.

저장조건이 딸기 “미녀봉”의 저장 중 품질 및 미생물학적 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Storage Condition on the Quality and Microbiological Change of Strawberry “Minyubong” during Storage)

  • 저장조건이 딸기 “미녀봉”의 저장 중 품질 및 미생물학적 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 저장 중 중량감소율, 부패율, pH 및 적정산도, 총균수 및 곰팡이와 효모 수의 변화가 측정되었다. 딸기 시료는 LDPE로 포장하여 4$^{\circ}C$와 2$0^{\circ}C$에서 각각 저장하였다. LDPE포장은 대조구에 비해 중량감소율 및 부패율을 감소시켰다. 또한 포장방법은 저장중 미생물학적 변화에 영향을 끼쳤는데 저장온도와 상관없이 대조구와 비교해서 효모와 곰팡이뿐만 아니라 총균수의 감소를 야기시켰다. 본 연구결과는 딸기 “미녀봉”의 유통기한을 고려할 때 4$^{\circ}C$에서 LDPE 포장으로 저장하는 것이 바람직하다는 것을 나타냈다.

  • Life nurturing medicine mentioned in this paper refers to medical practice based on health preservation. This practice embraces alimentotherapy, respiration practice, qi gong, lacking food method as well as preventive medicine and geriatrics based on this theory. This life nurturing practice are noticeable through korean history. There were Korea own's xianjia(仙家) yangseng practice which after the transmission of Taoistic yangseng, it has been developed to take a field in medicine. The first publication that proofs this unification of life nurturing practice and medicine is Donguibogam ("東醫寶鑑"). Life nurturing method took more proportion in medical practice as medical books emphasized on preventive medicine like Yiyangpyun("二養編"), Boyangji were published distinguishing from other field of medicine.

산마늘 추출물의 알코올 유도 세포독성에 대한 간 세포 보호 효과 (Protective effect of Allium ochotense Prokh. extract against ethanol-induced cytotoxicity)

  • 본 실험에서는 산마늘 추출물의 in vitro 항산화 및 in vitro 생리활성 효능평가를 진행하였다. 산마늘 추출물은 페놀성 화합물과 플라보노이드 화합물을 함유하고 있으며, ABTS, DPPH 라디칼 소거 활성 등을 나타내었다, 특히, 산마늘 추출물은 우수한 알코올 대사 관련 효소 활성을 나타내었으며 더불어, HepG2 세포에서 에탄올로 유도된 스트레스에 대해 세포 생존율을 유의적으로 증가시켰으며, 활성 산소종의 생성을 효과적으로 감소시켰다. 그리고 산마늘 물 및 60% 에탄올 추출물은 에탄올로 세포독성이 유도된 간세포에서 BCl-2, BAX 및 pro-caspase-3의 발현량을 개선함으로써 세포사멸을 억제하는 것으로 확인되었다.

A Repair Process with Embedded Markov Chain

  • A repair process of a system consisting of both perfect repairs and minimal repairs is introduced. The type of repair, when the system fails, is determined by an embedded two state Markov chain. We study several stochastic properties of the process including the preservation of ageing properties and the monotonicities of the time between successive repairs. After assigning repair costs to the process, we also show that an optimal repair policy uniquely exists, if the underlying life distribution of the system has DMRL.

김치의 숙도조절 (The Fermemtation Control of Kimch)

  • As a part of the fermentation control scheme for the preservation and improvement of the quality of Kimch, this paper summerizes a result of the research into the cleaning method of materials, the fermentation of Kimch using cleaning materials, the search of lacticacidbacteria for starter, the seperation state of cell wall by starter, the fermentation of Kimchi in the airtight instrument and in the air controlled state. And it shows the influence on the growth of lacticacidbacteria when the herb-medicine is used as a sub-ingredients, and the effects on the quality of ginseng added Kimchi.

유비쿼터스 의료환경에서 순환식 과제 지향적 훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 기능과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Task-Oriented Circuit Training on The Upper Extremity Function and Quality of Life in Chronic Stroke Patients)

  • 본 연구는 순환식 과제 지향적 집단훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 기능과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 경기도 부천 소재의 H 병원에 입원한 20명의 만성 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 실시하였다. 중재 전과 후 상지 기능과 삶의 질을 평가하기 위해 뇌졸중 기능회복 평가, 운동 활동 지표, 뇌졸중 영향 척도, 캐나다 작업 수행 평가, EQ-5D를 사용하였다. 대상자들을 무작위 할당하여 순환식 과제 지향적 집단훈련을 시행한 실험군 10명과 보존적 작업치료를 시행한 대조군 10명으로 할당하였다. 중재 후, 두 그룹 모두 상지 기능의 향상을 보였으며, 중재 전과 후 운동 활동 지표, EQ-5D 평균 변화량 비교에서 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.05). 캐나다 작업 수행 평가 결과 다림질하기, 빨래 널기, 수건 접기 활동이 대조군에 비해 실험군이 수행도, 만족도의 향상을 보였다. 순환식 과제 지향적 집단훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 기능과 삶의 질 향상에 효과가 있었으며, 이러한 연구 결과는 순환식 과제 지향적 집단훈련을 만성 뇌졸중 환자에게 임상적 중재로 활용하는 근거가 될 수 있다.

Effect of Antioxidant Fortification on Preservability of Buffalo Semen

  • During the process of freezing, spermatozoa suffer cold shock which increases their susceptibility to lipid peroxidation which plays an important role in ageing of spermatozoa, shortening their life span and affecting the preservation of semen. An experiment was therefore conducted to study the effect of addition of natural antioxidants into semen diluents on the preservability of buffalo semen. Split semen samples were extended in milk egg yolk diluents fortified with vitamin E (MYE), vitamin C (MYC) and control group (MYO); Tris-egg yolk diluents fortified with vitamin E (TYE), vitamin C (TYC) and control group (TYO) and evaluated for their preservabilities at 4-7$^{\circ}C$ and $37^{\circ}C$. Overall least squares mean of percent motility observed after 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h of preservation at 4-7$^{\circ}C$ were 66.70, 54.00, 36.80, 21.90 and 12.50, respectively while the estimates for semen extended in MYE, MYC, MYO, TYE, TYC and TYO were 44.80, 42.70, 38.70, 36.00, 35.20 and 33.00 percent, respectively. The results showed that motility was significantly (p<0.01) affected by extender (extender-antioxidant combination) and preservation interval. Overall least squares mean percent motility observed after 0, 4, 8, 12 and 24 h of preservation at $37^{\circ}C$ were 68.50, 58.90, 45.00, 38.10 and 18.10 percent, respectively, while the estimates for semen extended in MYE, MYC, MYO, TYE, TYC and TYO were 48.20, 49.30, 46.80, 45.30, 42.30 and 42.50 percent, respectively. Extender and storage interval were found to be significantly (p<0.01) affecting spermatozoa motility on room temperature preservation. The results indicated that the incorporation of antioxidants, especially vitamin E, had beneficial effect on preservability of buffalo semen.

Complete Genome Sequencing of Bacillus velezensis WRN014, and Comparison with Genome Sequences of other Bacillus velezensis Strains

  • Bacillus velezensis strain WRN014 was isolated from banana fields in Hainan, China. Bacillus velezensis is an important member of the plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) which can enhance plant growth and control soil-borne disease. The complete genome of Bacillus velezensis WRN014 was sequenced by combining Illumina Hiseq 2500 system and Pacific Biosciences SMRT high-throughput sequencing technologies. Then, the genome of Bacillus velezensis WRN014, together with 45 other completed genome sequences of the Bacillus velezensis strains, were comparatively studied. The genome of Bacillus velezensis WRN014 was 4,063,541bp in length and contained 4,062 coding sequences, 9 genomic islands and 13 gene clusters. The results of comparative genomic analysis provide evidence that (i) The 46 Bacillus velezensis strains formed 2 obviously closely related clades in phylogenetic trees. (ii) The pangenome in this study is open and is increasing with the addition of new sequenced genomes. (iii) Analysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) revealed local diversification of the 46 Bacillus velezensis genomes. Surprisingly, SNPs were not evenly distributed throughout the whole genome. (iv) Analysis of gene clusters revealed that rich gene clusters spread over Bacillus velezensis strains and some gene clusters are conserved in different strains. This study reveals that the strain WRN014 and other Bacillus velezensis strains have potential to be used as PGPR and biopesticide.

기념비 건축물의 파괴와 보존의 의지에 관한 연구 -제1차 세계 대전 전후 프랑스와 독일의 사례를 중심으로- (Destruction and Preservation of Architectural Monuments -in the Context of World War I France and Germany-)

  • Architectural Monuments have to overcome the challenge of time due to physical properties. The fundamental issue must be grounded in an understanding of history and art to overcome this challenge and make themsustainable. Many efforts to preserve the monuments through the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century to record them in scientific form were successful. To be aware of the meaning of the art and not to be 'barbare' anymore was behind the promotion of these activities. Above all, the 19th-century French architect Viollet-le-Duc contrasted the concept of barbarism with the concept of art and tried to redefine architecture as art. The ritual to escape 'barbare' played an important role in the end. This consciousness was also at work in the propaganda for the preservation of medieval architectural monuments in France, led by intellectuals such as Rodin. Also, the concept of 'barbare' served as an important yardstick whenever the cause of their loss was questioned while important monuments were destroyed in the First World War. From the viewpoint of Germany, Dehio was the pioneer of the preservation movement and documentation of monuments. The principle he advocated was preservation, not restoration. The historian Pevsner, who moved to England, also surveyed monuments in various parts of England and left them in the same format as Dehio. These facts show that architecture as art plays a fundamental role in the history of human life.
