The purpose of this study was to development CPR training course to promote wide spread training. The course objectives was based on international Guidelines 2000. The course presents information about the AHA adult Chain of survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and chocking in adult, and includes information about healty heart living and actions to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The course also presents information about the AHA infant and chila Chain of survival, signs of breathing emergencies and chocking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome, and prevention of the most common fatal injuies in infants and children. Vedio-mediated instruction is the primary approach to teaching psycomotor skills.

This paper presents a new method for finding the Block Pulse series coefficients, deriving the Block Pulse integration operational matrices and generalizing the integration operational matrices which are necessary for the control fields using the Block Pulse functions. In order to apply the Block Pulse function technique to the problems of state estimation or parameter identification more efficiently, it is necessary to find the more exact value of the Block Pulse series coefficients and integral operational matrices. This paper presents the method for improving the accuracy of the Block Pulse series coefficients and derives generalized integration operational matrix and applied the matrix to the analysis of linear time-invariant system.

This paper presents a Windows graphic developed by the authors for the education and training of power system. Object-oriented programming is a major trend in computer software because it increases flexibility of large-scale software systems. An efficient platform for power system simulation applications has been proposed. This paper presents an intuitive Windows-based program for the power system analysis. The advantages of the object-oriented approach are demonstrated with an implementation of the graphical program. It provides a graphical interface for designing the one-line diagram of the bus and analyzing the output of the simulations. A graphical editor to visually edit the power system, diagram, results processing and exporting and graphic presentations.

Because of being environmentally friendly, renewable energy resources has been growing at a high rate. Wind energy is one of the most successfully utilized of such sources for producing electrical energy. Due to the randomness of wind speed, wind farms can not supply power with a balanceable level as well as conventional power plants. The reliability evaluation of wind power is more and more important. Capacity credit is used to estimate the capacity credit of power systems including wind farms. This paper presents a method of capacity credit calculation for a power system considered wind farms and shows how it gets study on an actual power system (the Jeju Island power system). The paper describes the step of capacity credit calculation and presents test results, which indicate its effectiveness.

Whenever environment allows for a more efficient application of the advanced methods published in books or articles, such methods must necessarily be applied in practice. One of the major reasons why the numerous methods are ignored is the lack of experts who could make selections of proper inspection method. An expert system which would perform as if each factory had a resident expert is developed. The expert system is mainly comprised of three parts. The first part presents the performance measures of the inspection methods currently used or inquired. The system includes almost all the inspection methods presented in Schilling's book. The second part presents an appropriate inspection method by inputting various environments through the user interface. The third part prints the inspection methods in accordance with the format which will be used in the field, stores the inspection results that follow, and then administers the acceptance inspection as a system by considering the past results.

A symmetric union is a diagram of a knot, obtained from diagrams of a knot in the 3-space and its mirror image, which are symmetric with respect to an axis in the 2-plane, by connecting them with 2-tangles with twists along the axis and 2-tangles with no twists. This paper presents an invariant of knots with symmetric union presentations, which is called the minimal twisting number, and the minimal twisting number of $10_{42}$ is shown to be two. This paper also presents a sufficient condition for non-amphicheirality of a knot with a certain symmetric union presentation.

This paper presents about the analysis on cost factor reduction using the life cycle cost model for motor block in the KTX-1. Until now, most life cycle cost of the system as a whole that has been studied. but in case of railway industry part, LCC studies are needed on the subsystem like a propulsion control system because subsystems are developed continuously localization. Therefore, In this paper presents cost breakdown structure for life cycle cost (LCC) estimation for localization development of propulsion control system (Motor Block) in high speed railway vehicle (KTX-1). Also to analysis LCC on motor block, it was analyzed physical breakdown structure (PBS) and preventive cost on propulsion control system in view of maintenance cost. Based on this, we describe life cycle cost on motor block of KTX-1.

This paper presents a theoretical analysis and comparisons of active power filter (APF) and hybrid power filter (HPF) systems, given terminal constraints of harmonic compensations in nonlinear loads. Despite numerous publications for the two types of filters, the features and differences between them have not been clearly explained. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the operations of a HPF inverter along with those of passive power filters (PPFs). It also includes their effects on the power factor at the grid. In addition, a theoretical analysis and a systematic comparison between the APF and HPF systems are addressed based on system parameters such as the source voltage, output power, reactive component size, and power factor at the grid terminals. The converter kVA ratings and dc-link voltage requirements for both topologies are considered in the presented comparisons

The asset management system for power distribution is necessary to make efficient use of distribution asset and to devise optimum investment plans. So we developed KDAMS(Korea Distribution Asset Management System) that is adopting reliability indexs, SAIFI and SAIDI, and operator's experiences. This paper presents functions of the system that is reliability management, failure rate management, establishment of optimum investment plan and so on. And it presents the of used algorithms to develop this system.

This paper presents single-phase SRM drive system with single-stage high power factor and low torque ripple. Single-phase SRM has simple mechanical and electrical structure, robust and high speed operation characteristic. But conventional SRM drive with diode bridge rectifier and filter capacitor has a low power factor because of short charge time of capacitor. Therefore, this paper presents a novel single-phase SRM drive with single-stage structure circuit, which can improve the power factor and reduce peak torque ripple. A novel switching topology is presented base on mathematical analysis. The novel drive method is verified by simulations and experiments.
