This paper attempts to identify motivations of the satellite DMB use and to examine the relationship between user motivations and structure of genre consumption. Firstly, this paper identified motivational dimensions for satellite DMB usage. The results of the factor analysis revealed three dimensions: information-seeking, entertainment-oriented and social communication. It accounts for 69.9% of the variances found within this data. Secondly, the results of the regression analyses suggested that both information seeking and entertainment-oriented motivations were closely related to genre preferences of satellite DMB contents. In addition, these two motivations predicted genre repertoires and similarity in genre consumption. In conclusion, motivations of the satellite DMB use were the best predictors for explaining the structure of genre consumption.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive value of snoring frequency in the diagnosis and severity of obstructive sleep apnea. Methods: Patients who underwent polysomnography with one or more of the following characteristics were included: 1) sleepiness, non-restorative sleep, fatigue, or insomnia symptoms; 2) arousal due to cessation of breathing or the occurrence of gasping or choking when waking up; and 3) habitual snoring, breathing interruptions, or both, noted by a bed partner or other observer. We analyzed the differences in clinical and polysomnographic variables between patients with and without obstructive sleep apnea and investigated the associations of those variables with obstructive sleep apnea severity. Results: One hundred ninety-three patients met the inclusion criteria, and 145 of the 193 patients were diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that large neck circumference (p = 0.0054) and high snoring index (p = 0.0119) were independent predictors for obstructive sleep apnea. Moreover, between the obstructive sleep apnea severity groups, there was a strong tendency of difference in body mass index (p = 0.0441) and neck circumference (p = 0.0846). However, there was no significant difference in snoring frequency according to obstructive sleep apnea severity (p = 0.4914). Conclusions: We confirmed that snoring frequency is a predictor of obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, we showed for the first time that snoring frequency is not associated with obstructive sleep apnea severity, thus it is not a valuable marker for predicting obstructive sleep apnea severity.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of employees' knowledge contribution to 'Easysam', the Defense Knowledge Sharing System(DKSS), and provide managers and system designers with implications for enhancing the usage of the DKSS. Although the system seems to be helpful for employees to conduct their tasks by sharing and applying knowledge from the system, use of the system is confined to restricted employees and little empirical, systematic research has been done for this area. Therefore, using the motivation opportunity ability theory of behavior, this study hypothesizes that motivation factors(enjoy helping, reward confirmation), opportunity factor(system accessibility), and ability factor(self-rated expertise, tenure in the field) increase the level of employees' knowledge contribution to the DKSS. This research also includes hypotheses which address the effect of system use voluntariness, a moderator, on the relationship between predictors described above and knowledge provision. Survey results show that the effect of enjoy helping, reward confirmation, self-rated expertise and system accessibility is significant on employees knowledge provision. However, tenure in the field has no influence on its contribution of knowledge to the system. Theoretical and practical implications are provided.
This study aims to develop a video-based smart utterance deep analyser (SUDA) application that analyzes semiautomatically the utterances that child and mother produce during interactions over time. SUDA runs on the platform of Android, iPhones, and tablet PCs, and allows video recording and uploading to server. In this device, user modes are divided into three modes: expert mode, general mode and manager mode. In the expert mode which is useful for speech and language evaluation, the subject's utterances are analyzed semi-automatically by measuring speech and language factors such as disfluency, morpheme, syllable, word, articulation rate and response time, etc. In the general mode, the outcome of utterance analysis is provided in a graph form, and the manger mode is accessed only to the administrator controlling the entire system, such as utterance analysis and video deletion. SUDA helps to reduce clinicians' and researchers' work burden by saving time for utterance analysis. It also helps parents to receive detailed information about speech and language development of their child easily. Further, this device will contribute to building a big longitudinal data enough to explore predictors of stuttering recovery and persistence.
The field instruction is essential to professional social work education. It is important to identify what factors make students' performance improve. 207 social work students who completed the field practicum in their undergraduate course were studied to determine factors associated with performance. The mean score of supervision was 2.6 and of practice performance was 56.7. Especially the score of theory integrated supervision was lowest among 5 supervision factors. Intervention skills and case-management skills were lower than 3 other performance factors. The significant correlation found to exist between supervision and performance. The higher the students' perception of supervision, the higher the students rating of their performance. Contributing most to students' performance was students' perceptions of the extent of supervision, especially theory integrated supervision and agency-based supervision, the extent of discussion about learning contracts, the amount of supervision. And the personal factors like students' gender and supervisors' career duration as a supervisor were found to be another predictors. That is, female students could improve their performance more than male students and more experienced supervisors could not improve students' performance. The findings highlight the importance of supervision and learning contract. Structuring field learning experiences would be needed. The supportive and educative consults for the supervisors, especially for the experienced supervisors, and ongoing efforts to evaluate the field instruction were suggested.
Objective: To determine whether characteristics of sperm motility obtained by computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) could predict pregnancy after intrauterine insemination (IUI) in couples with unexplained infertility. Methods: Three hundred eighty-three cycles of intrauterine insemination with superovulation were retrospectively analyzed. Semen analysis was performed with CASA before and after swim-up and the parameters were compared between pregnant and non-pregnant women. Results: The pregnancy rate per cycle was 14.1%. Pregnant and non-pregnant women were comparable in terms of age, infertility duration, the number of dominant follicles. While sperm concentration, motility, and parameters such as average path velocity (VAP) and percentage rapid (RAPID) before semen preparation were significantly different between the pregnancy and non-pregnancy groups, there were no differences in sperm parameters when comparing the two groups after preparation. Using a receiver operating characteristic curve to measure sensitivity and specificity, the optimal threshold value for the predictors of pregnancy was revealed to be a concentration of ${\geq}111{\times}10^6/mL$, a motility of ${\geq}$ 51.4%, and RAPID ${\geq}$ 30.1% before preparation for IUI. Conclusion: Sperm parameters including concentration, motility, and RAPID before sperm preparation could have predictive value for pregnancy outcome after intrauterine insemination with superovulation in couples with unexplained infertility, and would be helpful when counseling patients before they make the decision to proceed with IVF/ICSI-ET.

This is to study the incidence of Diabetes and its risk factors in the impaired glucose tolerence group. 1084 subjects who had been examined 3 times for regular check-up in one human dock center under the university hospital were studied between $1986{\sim}1993$. The results are as follows; Prevalence rate of diabetes was 3.56%, and that of impaired glucose tolerence was 30.90% as of initial examination. The rate of diabetes was increasing with the age where 1.2% at age group $30{\sim}39$, 3.21% at age group $40{\sim}49$, 5.84% at age group $50{\sim}59$, 14.28% at age group 60 and over. And also the rate of impaired glucose tolerance was increasing with the age where 21.29% at age group $30{\sim}39$, 31.42% at age group $40{\sim}49$, 38.91% at age group $50{\sim}59$, 33.33% at age group 60 and over Of the examinees who were initially examined, total incidence rate of diabetes who developed to obvious diabetes at the 3rd follow-up examination from the initially impaired glucose tolerence group was 4.63% and it was 11.3 times higher than from the normal group (0.41%). After controlling for the effects of both age and obesity, the risk of subsequent diabetes for subjects with impaired glucose tolerance remained significantly higher than for normal subjects (Relative Risk, 10.48). Test for trends for developing to diabetes by the increasing level of fasting blood sugar and 1hr blood sugar at the initial examination were statistically significant in either normal and impaired glucose tolerence group. To determine the risk factor for developing to diabetes, logistic regression test was applied. Only fasting blood sugar and 1hr blood sugar were predictors for developing diabetes from the impaired glucose tolerence group at initial examination.

Objectives: This study evaluated the effects and relevant factors of community-based education and advocacy intervention on stroke awareness among the general population. Methods: The study enrolled 505 community-dwelling adults aged 19 years or older who completed a survey before and after a community-based intervention held between May 2014 and December 2014. Trained staff collected data about knowledge of five stroke warning signs, emergency response, golden window of time (${\leq}3h$), and demographics. Results: After the intervention, public awareness of all five stroke warning signs increased significantly from 26.5% to 33.9% (p=0.011). Public awareness of the golden window of time also increased significantly from 70.1% in April 2014 to 75.8% in December 2014 (p=0.040). In a multivariate logistic regression analysis, older age, higher education level, and exposure to stroke-related public service announcements or educational materials were significant predictors of knowledge of all five warning signs for stroke. Conclusions: Comprehensive community-based intervention is effective for improving public awareness of the warning signs of stroke and the golden window of time.

Background: The prevalence rate of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) is steadily decreasing in South Korea. However, PTB is a disease with relatively high mortality and morbidity rates throughout Korea. Although there are many studies and statistics about the risk factors of PTB mortality in many countries, there are only a limited number of domestic papers on this topic. The aim of this study is to determine predictive factors for mortality among in-hospital patients associated with PTB. Methods: From December 2006 to January 2011, we reviewed medical records of 2,122 adult patients diagnosed with tuberculosis at a single tertiary hospital in a suburban area. In this study period, 960 patients were diagnosed with PTB by positive Acid fast bacilli smear and/or mycobacterial culture of the respiratory specimen. We compared the groups of patients deceased and patients discharged alive with PTB. The number of dead patients was 82 (47 males, 35 females). Results: Mortality was significantly associated with increased values of white blood cells (WBC), blood urine nitrogen (BUN), creatinine, C-reactive protein (CRP), numbers of involved lung field, and length of hospitalization. Also, it was associated with the decreased values of hemoglobin, lymphocyte, sodium, albumin, and cholesterol. Furthermore, admission through the emergency department, initial intensive care unit admission, and drug resistant PTB affected mortality in PTB patients. Independent predictors associated with PTB mortality are BUN, initial intensive care unit care, and admission during treatment of tuberculosis. Conclusion: In our study, mortality of pulmonary tuberculosis was related with parameters associated with nutritional status, disease severity at the time of admission, and drug resistance.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the characteristics of tumor and prognosis, depending on the status of resection margin involvement, on the frozen section diagnosis in gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted retrospectively, in 83 margin-positive patients on the frozen section diagnosis, who underwent gastrectomy from July 1995 to September 2006. The control group was selected by matching the age, gender, TNM stage and status of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy, among those who had shown clear resection margins. The characteristics of tumor and patient survival are investigated, and they were analyzed between the two groups. Results: The tumor size was significantly larger in the study group than that of the control group (P=0.037). There was significant difference between the two groups in location of the tumors (P=0.003). Multivariate analysis indicated that only the location and Lauren's classification are independent factors, which affected the resection margin involvement. Median survival was $41.0{\pm}11.5$ months in the study group and $93.0{\pm}30.3$ months in the control group (P=0.049). In the survival analysis, it was investigated that TNM stage and the resection margin involvement of the frozen section diagnosis were the critical variables. Conclusions: When the tumor is located at the middle or the upper third, or the Lauren's indeterminate type, they are highly likely to show the resection margin involvement on the frozen section diagnosis, and it can, therefore, have negative effects on the prognosis. It is considered as good to perform more extensive resection as possible, during the initial resection.
