Time series analysis methods have been traditionally used in stock price prediction. However, most of the existing methods represent some methodological limitations in reflecting influence from external factors that affect the fluctuation of stock prices, such as oil prices, exchange rates, money interest rates, and the stock price indexes of other countries. To overcome the limitations, we propose a network based method incorporating the relations between the individual company stock prices and the external factors by using a graph-based semi-supervised learning algorithm. For verifying the significance of the proposed method, it was applied to the prediction problems of company stock prices listed in the KOSPI from January 2007 to August 2008.
Stock markets are popular investment avenues to people who plan to receive premium returns compared to other financial instruments, but they are highly volatile and risky due to the complex financial dynamics and poor understanding of the market forces involved in the price determination. A system that can forecast, predict the stock prices and automatically create a portfolio of top performing stocks is of great value to individual investors who do not have sufficient knowledge to understand the complex dynamics involved in evaluating and predicting stock prices. In this paper the authors propose a Stock prediction, Portfolio Generation and Selection model based on Machine learning algorithms, Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are used for stock price prediction, Mathematical and Statistical techniques are used for Portfolio generation and Un-Supervised Machine learning based on K-Means Clustering algorithms are used for Portfolio Evaluation and Selection which take in to account the Portfolio Return and Risk in to consideration. The model presented here is limited to predicting stock prices on a long term basis as the inputs to the model are based on fundamental attributes and intrinsic value of the stock. The results of this study are quite encouraging as the stock prediction models are able predict stock prices at least a financial quarter in advance with an accuracy of around 90 percent and the portfolio selection classifiers are giving returns in excess of average market returns.
There are many methods for analyzing patterns in time series data. Although stock data represents a time series, there are few studies on stock pattern analysis and prediction. Since people believe that stock price changes randomly we cannot predict stock prices using a scientific method. In this paper, we measured the degree of the randomness of stock prices using Kolmogorov complexity, and we showed that there is a strong correlation between the degree and the accuracy of stock price prediction using our semi-global alignment method. We transformed the stock price data to quantized string sequences. Then we measured randomness of stock prices using Kolmogorov complexity of the string sequences. We use KOSPI 690 stock data during 28 years for our experiments and to evaluate our methodology. When a high Kolmogorov complexity, the stock price cannot be predicted, when a low complexity, the stock price can be predicted, but the prediction ratio of stock price changes of interest to investors, is 12% prediction ratio for short-term predictions and a 54% prediction ratio for long-term predictions.
Because people's interest of the stock market has been increased with the development of economy, a lot of studies have been going to predict fluctuation of stock prices. Latterly many studies have been made using scientific and technological method among the various forecasting method, and also data using for study are becoming diverse. So, in this paper we propose stock prices prediction models using sentiment analysis and machine learning based on news articles and SNS data to improve the accuracy of prediction of stock prices. Stock prices prediction models that we propose are generated through the four-step process that contain data collection, sentiment dictionary construction, sentiment analysis, and machine learning. The data have been collected to target newspapers related to economy in the case of news article and to target twitter in the case of SNS data. Sentiment dictionary was built using news articles among the collected data, and we utilize it to process sentiment analysis. In machine learning phase, we generate prediction models using various techniques of classification and the data that was made through sentiment analysis. After generating prediction models, we conducted 10-fold cross-validation to measure the performance of they. The experimental result showed that accuracy is over 80% in a number of ways and F1 score is closer to 0.8. The result can be seen as significantly enhanced result compared with conventional researches utilizing opinion mining or data mining techniques.
When we apply parametric models to the movement of stock prices, we don't know whether they are really correct specifications. In the paper, any prior conditional mean structure is not assumed. By applying the nonparametric model, we see if it better performs (than the random walk model) in terms of out-of-sample prediction. An interesting finding is that the random walk model is still the best. There doesn't seem to exist any form of nonlinearity (not to mention linearity) in stock prices that can be exploitable in terms of point prediction.

This study conducted to predict the stock market prices based on the assumption that internet news articles might have an impact and effect on the rise and fall of stock market prices. The internet news articles were tested to evaluate the accuracy by comparing predicted values of the actual stock index and the forecasting models of the companies. This paper collected stock news from the internet, and analyzed and identified the relationship with the stock price index. Since the internet news contents consist mainly of unstructured texts, this study used text mining technique and multiple regression analysis technique to analyze news articles. A company H as a representative automobile manufacturing company was selected, and prediction models for the stock price index of company H was presented. Thus two prediction models for forecasting the upturn and decline of H stock index is derived and presented. Among the two prediction models, the error value of the prediction model (1) is low, and so the prediction performance of the model (1) is relatively better than that of the prediction model (2). As the further research, if the contents of this study are supplemented by real artificial intelligent investment decision system and applied to real investment, more practical research results will be able to be developed.

In this paper an approach to building fuzzy models for predicting daily and weekly stock prices is presented. Predicting stock prices with traditional time series analysis has proven to be difficult. Fuzzy logic based models have advantage of expressing the input-output relation linguistically, which facilitates the understanding of the system behavior. In building a stock prediction model we bear a burden of selecting most effective indicators for the stock prediction. In this paper information used in traditional candle stick-chart analysis is considered as input variables of our fuzzy models. The fuzzy rules have the premises and the consequents composed of trapezoidal membership functions and nonlinear equations, respectively. DE(Differential Evolution) identifies optimal fuzzy rules through an evolutionary process. The fuzzy models to predict daily and weekly open, high, low, and close prices of KOSPI(KOrea composite Stock Price Index) are built, and their performances are demonstrated.

Stock prices are influenced by a number of external factors, such as laws and trends, as well as number-based internal factors such as trading volume and closing prices. Since many factors affect stock prices, it is very difficult to accurately predict stock prices using only fragmentary stock data. In particular, since the value of a company is greatly affected by the perception of people who actually trade stocks, emotional information about a specific company is considered an important factor. In this paper, we propose a deep learning-based stock price prediction model using sentiment analysis with news data considering temporal characteristics. Stock and news data, two heterogeneous data with different characteristics, are integrated according to time scale and used as input to the model, and the effect of time scale and sentiment index on stock price prediction is finally compared and analyzed. Also, we verify that the accuracy of the proposed model is improved through comparative experiments with existing models.
As the global economy stagnated due to the Corona 19 virus from Wuhan, China, most countries, including the US Federal Reserve System, introduced policies to boost the economy by increasing the amount of money. Most of the stock investors tend to invest only by listening to the recommendations of famous YouTubers or acquaintances without analyzing the financial statements of the company, so there is a high possibility of the loss of stock investments. Therefore, in this research, I have used artificial intelligence deep learning techniques developed under the existing automatic trading conditions to analyze and predict macro-indicators that affect stock prices, giving weights on individual stock price predictions through correlations that affect stock prices. In addition, since stock prices react sensitively to real-time stock market news, a more accurate stock price prediction is made by reflecting the weight to the stock price predicted by artificial intelligence through stock market news text mining, providing stock investors with the basis for deciding to make a proper stock investment.

In this paper, we propose a smoothing and thus noise-reducing method of data sequences for stock price prediction with hidden Markov models, HMMs. The suggested method just uses simple moving average. A proper average size is obtained from forecasting experiments with stock prices of bank sector of Korean Exchange. Forecasting method with HMM and moving average smoothing is compared with a conventional method.
