표면결함재에 관한 탄소성 파괴역학에 의한 피로수명 예측 (Fatigue Life Prediction by Elastic-Plastic Fracture mechanics for Surface Flaw Steel)

  • In this work, prediction of fatigue life and fatigue crack growth are studied. 4th order polynominal function is presented to describe the crack growth behaviors from artifical pit of SM45C steel. Crack growth curves obtained from 4th order polyminal growth equations are in good agreement with experimental data The crack growth behaviors at arbitrary stress levels and investigated by the concept of elastic-plastic fracture mechanics using ${\Delta}J$. Fatigue life prediction are carried out by numerical integral method. Prediction lives obtained by proposed method in this study, is in good agreement with the experimental ones. Life prediction results calculated by using of ${\Delta}J$ better than those of ${\Delta}K$.

Prediction model for the hydration properties of concrete

  • This paper investigates prediction models estimating the hydration properties of concrete, such as the compressive strength, the splitting tensile strength, the elastic modulus,and the autogenous shrinkage. A prediction model is suggested on the basis of an equation that is formulated to predict the compressive strength. Based on the assumption that the apparent activation energy is a characteristic property of concrete, a prediction model for the compressive strength is applied to hydration-related properties. The hydration properties predicted by the model are compared with experimental results, and it is concluded that the prediction model properly estimates the splitting tensile strength, elastic modulus, and autogenous shrinkage as well as the compressive strength of concrete.

Structural monitoring and maintenance by quantitative forecast model via gray models

  • This article aims to quantitatively predict the snowmelt in extreme cold regions, considering a combination of grayscale and neural models. The traditional non-equidistant GM(1,1) prediction model is optimized by adjusting the time-distance weight matrix, optimizing the background value of the differential equation and optimizing the initial value of the model, and using the BP neural network for the first. The adjusted ice forecast model has an accuracy of 0.984 and posterior variance and the average forecast error value is 1.46%. Compared with the GM(1,1) and BP network models, the accuracy of the prediction results has been significantly improved, and the quantitative prediction of the ice sheet is more accurate. The monitoring and maintenance of the structure by quantitative prediction model by gray models was clearly demonstrated in the model.

  • In this study, it was proposed that a modified equation for estimating consolidation settlement on soft clay ground, which separate total settlement into primary and secondary settlement equation. The settlement by the proposed equation and by the measured settlements from laboratory model test was compared and verified for its application. It was appeared that the proposed equation from the laboratory model test approached to be more realistic comparing to the result of Terzaghi's equation. From the above application, it was concluded that the final settlement prediction by the Hyperbolic, Asaoka methods is needed to measure the initial period of settlement but the proposed equation could be much applicable in the lacking condition of measured data of the initial period.

광안해역에서의 파랑변형예측 (Prediction of Wave Transformation in the Kwangan Beach)

  • Water waves propagate over irregular bottom bathymetry are transformed by refraction, diffraction, shoaling, reflection etc. Principal factor of wave transform is bottom bathymetry, but in case of current field, current is another important factor which effect wave transformation. The governing equation of this study is develope as wave-current equation type to investigate the effect of wave-current interaction. It starts from Berkhoff's(1972) mild slope equation and is transformed to time-dependent hyperbolic type equation by using variational principal. Finally the governing equation is shown as a parabolic type equation by splitting method. This wave-current model was applied to the kwangan beach which is located at Pusan. The numerical simulation results of this model show the characteristics of wave transformation and flow pattern around the Kwangan beach fairly well.

마모입자 분석기술을 이용한 초음속 항공기 엔진의 상태 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Engine Condition of Supersonic Aircraft through the Wear Debris Monitoring Technique)

  • This paper describes an empirical equation which can be used to predict the engine condition of supersonic aircraft. The equation, which is derived from the trend analysis of JOAP data, represents the concentration of Fe particles in the engine oil. The result of the trend analysis shows that the concentration of Fe particles is a function of running time of engine oil. Meanwhile the slope of Fe concentration is a function of running time of engine. Threfore, the empirical equation was derived as $w=a(t_e).t_o+b$. However, the equation could not enough to diagnose the damaged part of engine quantitatively. To make up for the weak points of the equation, qualitative analysis was carried out. For that purpose wear debris were collected from the abnormal engine and analyzed by EDS to detect the damaged parts of engine.

  • 본 논문은 항공기 구조물의 체결용 홀(hole)을 냉간가공(cold working)할때 홀주변에 생성되는 잔류응력이 균열발생 수명과 균열성장에 미치는 영향을 연구한 내용이다. 항공기용 재료로 많이 사용되는 AL7075-T6 및 AL2024-T3 시편으로 측정된 계수를 Morrow의 수명예측식에 적용하여 수정된 냉간가공(cold working)에 관한 수명예측식을 제안하였다. 수정된 계산식으로 얻어진 수명예측값과 실험에 의하여 이미 알려진 값이 비교적 일치함을 보여 이러한 재료에 대하여 수명예측이 가능함을 보였다. 균열성장 예측을 위해 역시 AL7075-T6 재료에 대하여 가중함수(weight function)방법으로 잔류응력 세기계수를 구하여 Forman의 균열성장 예측식을 수정하여 계산 한 결과 이 또한 알려진 실험값과 거의 일치함을 보여 실험에 사용한 재료의 구조물 해석에 유용 할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 항공기용 구조물의 홀주변을 냉간가공 (cold working)할 때 생성되는 잔류응력의 영향을 연구하는 기초적인 단계 일 뿐이며, 향후 실제 정비현장에서 적용 할 수 있는 대상분야와 연구 방향에 대한 보다 심층적 연구가 필요함을 보인다.

정지비행 조건에서의 축소 로터 실험을 통한 소음 예측 기법 검증 (Validation of Noise Prediction Theory Using Scaled Rotor Experiment for Hovering Condition)

  • 본 논문에서는 정지비행 조건에서의 무향실 내 축소 로터 실험을 이용해 Lowson의 하중 소음식과 FW-H의 음향상사식으로 예측한 이산 주파수 소음(Discrete frequency noise)을 검증하였다. 소음 예측 기법의 방향성(Directivity) 검증은 전반적으로 실험결과와 유사하게 예측되었으며, 거리에 대한 검증의 경우 근거리(Near-field)에서는 FW-H식의 예측결과가, 원거리(Far-field)에서는 Lowson식의 예측결과가 실험결과와 더 유사한 것을 확인하였다. 피치 각(Collective pitch angle)에 대한 검증의 경우 낮은 피치각에서는 FW-H식의 예측결과가, 높은 피치각에서는 Lowson식의 예측결과가 실험결과와 더 유사한 것을 확인하였다.

개방식 장치를 이용한 tert-Pentanol + Propionic Acid 및 p-Xylene + Propionic Acid 계의 하부인화점 측정 및 예측 (The Measurement and Estimation of the Lower Flash Points for tert-Pentanol + Propionic Acid and p-Xylene + Propionic Acid Systems Using Open-Cup Apparatus)

  • 본 연구에서는 tert-pentanol + propionic acid 및 p-xylene + propionic acid계의 하부인화점을 Tag 개방식장치(ASTM D1310-86)를 이용하여 측정하였다. 실험값은 Raoult의 법칙, van Laar 모델식과 NRTL 모델식에 의해 계산된 값들과 비교 되었다. 그 결과, van Laar 모델식과 NRTL 모델식에 의한 예측값이 Rauolt의 법칙에 의한 예측값 보다 실험값에 더욱 근접하였다. 이는 tert-pentanol + propionic acid 및 pxylene + propionic acid계와 같은 비이상 용액의 활동도 계수값을, van Laar 및 NRTL 모델식이 Raoult의 법칙보다 정확하게 계산하기 때문이다. 또한, NRTL 모델식의 실험값에 대한 모사성이 van Laar 모델식의 그것 보다 우수하였다.

  • In this paper, the real-time prediction of high temperature creep life was carried out for the friction welded joints of dissimilar heat resistintg steels (CulCr0.5Zr-STS316L). Various life prediction methods such as LMP (Larson-Miller Parameter) and ISM (initial strain method) were applied. The creep behaviors of those steels and the welds under static load were examined by ISM combined with LMP at 300, 400 and 50$0^{\circ}C$, and the relationship between these two methods was investigated. A real-time creep life (tsub/r/, hr) prediction equation by initial strain ($\varepsilon_0$, %) under any creep stress ($\sigma$, MP$\alpha$) at any high temperature (T, K) was developed
