The perception on patient's family nursing of clinical nurse showed comparatively high by 3.22 in average(maximum 3.52, minimum 2.82) on the basis of 4 point but the practice showed low by average 2.47(maximum 3.02, minimum 2.11), By providing the patients and their family with "The information about the health problem of the which is the role of giving explanation and information about the disease. the nurse presents the method of their helping patient and in case that the family lack of knowledge about the health problem and crisis of the patient which is the role of education about the method of solving the crisis and change. the nurse educates about the necessity and method of taking care of the crisis and the changes. The third question that the relation of recognizing the difficuly of family and cooperating with them in supporting the patient for mutual function is to be formed showed high in the degree of perception and practice of the necessity. 2. General characteristics of perception about patient's family nursing of the object showed no significant difference except the concerns about the family usually(F=5.472. p<.001) and general characteristics which showed significant difference in the degree of practice were educational background (F=3.177, p<.05), clinical experience (F=2.462, p<.05) and position(F=7.029. p<.001), and attention about patient's family(F=10.603, p<.001), 3. The relation between perception and practice about the nursing on patient's family showed pure correlation but the degree was very low(r=.188, p<.05). The above results showed that the clinical nurses has been high understanding about the necessity of patient's family nursing but the degree of practice has been very low due to the lack of education about the family nursing, having no ways of nurse arbitration for practical duty and lack of political administrative support. Therefore concrete and systematic family situation and arbitration method to be applied clinically are required to be developed and also the education about patient's family nursing and the development of the course for clinical practice are required and political and administrative support for clinical practice about patient's family nursing is required as well.
Objectives : This study was conducted to investigate the actual state of dental hygienist's behavior for infection control during dental practice and radiologic examination and to evaluate the dental hygienist's awareness of the importance of infection control in dental office. Methods : A survey on 218 dental hygienists was carried out. Empowerment showed a significant difference according to school career, present grade, interpersonal relations, satisfaction degree for nursing, satisfaction degree for practice, meaning on nursing job. Charisma, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration and contingent reward perceived by nursing students were positively related to empowerment. Management by exception perceived by nursing students was negatively related to empowerment. Conclusion: The result of this study may be helpful in empowerment improvement of nursing students.
The high degree of academic burnout experienced during academic life indicates that job skill levels during the first year following graduation are low, and the correlation with turnover intention is high. We investigated the effects of clinical practice stress and resilience on nursing students' burnout, and searched for factors that can prevent or control burnout. We recruited a convenience sample of 202 nursing students. Academic burnout, general characteristics, clinical practice stress, and resilience were assessed via self-reported questionnaires. The mean total score of academic burnout was 44.0 points; exhaustion was the highest at 18.5 points, inefficacy was 15.9 points, and cynicism was 9.6 points. High levels of clinical practice stress affected academic burnout (β=0.194, p=0.003), while high resilience was a factor that lowered the degree of academic burnout (β=-0.449, p<0.001). Based on our results, factors affecting students' experiences of academic burnout were clinical practice stress and resilience. We therefore propose the implementation of a new curriculum aimed at increasing satisfaction with the major, reducing clinical practice stress, and increasing resilience, including an efficient peer mentoring program for clinical practice.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the degree of awareness and actual practice of dental practitioners regarding infection control during prosthodontic treatment. Materials and methods: Study participants were composed of dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians working at dental university hospital, general hospital, dental hospital and dental clinics in Daejeon, Korea (n=126). The questionnaires included the data on general characteristics, education, awareness and practice of infection control procedures during prosthodontic treatment through personal self-administration survey. Awareness and practice were measured by Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. Statistical analysis was done by one-way ANOVA. Influence of awareness on practice was estimated by regression analysis. Results: 27.7% of the respondents answered that the infection control education regarding prosthodontic treatment is insufficient. The mean value of awareness and practice of infection control during the prosthodontic treatment were $2.72{\pm}0.80$, $1.58{\pm}0.88$, respectively. The mean value of practice who answered that had education curriculum at college was $1.62{\pm}0.9$, and $1.31{\pm}0.49$ who did not. The mean value of awareness who equipped guideline was $3.01{\pm}0.9$, and $2.56{\pm}0.70$ who did not. Conclusion: 1. The respondents who received the infection control education by college curriculum showed higher degree of practice than the respondents who did not. 2. The respondents who have appropriate infection control guidebook in their workplace showed higher degree of awareness than the respondents who did not. 3. There was a correlation between the awareness and practice of infection control during prosthodontic treatment; the degree of awareness becomes higher, so does the degree of practice. 4. During the prosthodontic treatment, the degree of practice was lower than the degree of awareness on infection control.

Many studies have reported that a lot of nursing colleges do not have good facilities for the nursing practice in hospitals, so many students do not have the good ability which is needed to be a competent nurse. The purpose of this study was to develop a program in which students could improve their ability in fundamental nursing skills before the graduation. This study was primarily designed to identify items of the fundamental nursing practice in which nursing college students have perceived deficiencies. According to previous studies, a total 75 items were presented. In Identifying them, a modified Porter format was used. The questionnaire contained three sections. A. How well do you think you can/could perform the item when you graduate/graduated the college? B. How well do you think you should perform/should be able to perform the item when you graduate/graduated the college? C. How important do you think the item is? For each of the 75 items, the respondents were instructed to answer the above three questions, by circling a number on a rating scale extending from 1 to 5, where low numbers represented a low degree of performance or minimum amount, and high numbers represented a high degree of performance or maximum amount. The perceived degree of deficiency in performance on each questionnaire item was obtained by subtracting the answer to Part A of an item from that to of Part B. The larger difference means a larger perceived degree of deficiency in performance. This method of measuring the perceived degree of deficiency in performance is an indirect measure derived from two direct answers by the respondent for each item. From this result Part C of each item was used to rank the items, and the items were prioritized. The items which had the highest priority were IV injection, simple catheterization, indwelling catheterization, CPR, and nurse recording. By this method, through these results from a nursing college, and the items which will be used first in developing the supplementation program for nursing college students can be identified.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe characteristics of colleges implementing the accelerated second-degree bachelor of science in nursing program in South Korea and provide insight into strategies to improve the program outcomes. Methods: An on-line questionnaire developed for this study was emailed to deans of nursing colleges who were members of the Korean Association of College of Nursing. Questions included items related to nursing college, students, curriculum, and anticipated difficulty in relation to an increase of the number of second-degree students. Results: Out of 117 nursing schools, 33 schools (28.2%) participated in the on-line survey. The actual number of second-degree students and their ratio (about 10%) to regular students significantly increased in 2019. Male students were enrolled nearly twice as many times as regular students. Among the anticipated difficulties, clinical practice institutions (3.94) and clinical practice instructors (3.73) showed relatively higher scores than other difficulties such as teaching (3.58) and education facilities (3.30). Conclusion: In order to improve the quality of nursing education for second-degree students, more nursing faculties and innovative clinical practice support systems are needed. Future study is warranted to investigate the educational experience of second-degree students and graduates.
