Evaluation of the Aging Life of the Rubber Pad in Power Window Switch

  • To evaluate the aging of a rubber pad in power window switch which is the part of a vehicle, the accelerated thermal aging test of rubber pad material is performed. Finite element analysis was performed using the nonlinear material constants of the rubber pad to calculate the operating force, and the Arrhenius relationship was derived from the aging temperature and time. The aging test was performed at 150, 180, 210, or 240 ℃ for 1 to 60 days. When the operating force of the rubber pad is changed by 10% from the initial value, the service life is expected to be 113 years, which is much longer than the life of the vehicle. This indicates that the aging life of the rubber pad is sufficiently safe and the operating force of the rubber pad during the life of the vehicle (20 years) was decreased by approximately 8.4%. By examining the correlation between the shear elastic modulus and operating force calculated from finite element analysis under each aging test condition, the changes in the operating force of the rubber pad and the shear elastic modulus showed good linear relationship. The aging life could be predicted by the change in shear elastic modulus and a process for predicting the aging life of automotive power window switch rubber pad parts is described herein.

학교 내 청소년들의 권력관계 양상과 유형 파악을 위한 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of the Two Measures (power controllability, power desirability) for Identifying Power Relationships Among the School Youth)

  • 본 연구는 학교 내 청소년들의 권력관계 유형 파악을 위해 사용할 수 있는 척도인 '권력장악가능성'과 '권력장악욕구' 척도의 개발 및 타당화를 목적으로 했다. 선행연구에서 사용되었던 문항들을 기초로 추가 문항을 개발하기 위해 초 중 고등학생들을 대상으로 개별 면접과 초점 집단 면접을 실시하였으며 개발된 문항의 안면타당도와 내용타당도 확인을 위해 학교교사 및 전문가 집단의 자문을 받았다. 최종 선정된 문항을 갖고 수도권 소재 초 중 고생(N=1,822)을 대상으로 설문을 실시해 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였다. 확인된 요인구조의 타당화를 위해 별도로 수집된 수도권 중학생 표본(N=333)을 대상으로 타당화 검사를 실시하였다. 타당화 표본을 통해 척도의 구성타당도와 신뢰도를 산출하였으며 '권력장악가능성'과 '권력장악욕구'를 바탕으로 분류된 권력관계 유형과 학교폭력 현장에서 학생들의 실제 역할 사이의 관련성을 확인함으로써 개발된 척도의 예측타당도를 점검하였다.

pHEMT 전력 증폭기의 $IMD_3$ 비대칭성과 ACPR 특성 해석 (Analysis of Asymmetrical $IMD_3$ And ACPR Characteristics for pHEMT Power Amplifier)

  • This paper discribes the nonlinear distortion of a pHEMT power amplifier. In the paper, we have used some commercially available power amplifiers for analyzing the relationship between the $IMD_3$ and ACPR for wireless LAN. And the $IMD_3$ results using two-tone test have been compared with ACPR to satisfy the requited 802.11g standard ACPR value. Measurement result shows that $IMD_3$ of 20MHz tone-spacing need to be more than 18.45dBc for power amplifiers. The WCDMA signal is fed into the power amplifier, for analyzing relationship between the asymmetrical $IMD_3$ and ACLR. With measurement result, the asymmetrical $IMD_3$ characteristic has increased with the increase of two-tone spacing. $IMD_3$ measurement result with maximum 20MHz of the two-tone spacing, shows that the difference between $IMD_3(lower)$ and $IMD_3(upper)$ is about 7dB. And the measured ACLR shows 5dB difference at -4MHz and +4MHz offset from center frequency.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of process parameters, such as power of laser, travel speed of laser and material thickness, on the practical cutting region and the kerfwidth for the case of cutting of CSP 1N sheet using high power Nd:YAG laser with continuous wave(CW). In order to find the practical cutting region and the relationship between process parameters on the kerfwidth, several laser cutting experiments are carried out. The effective heat input is introduced to consider the influence of power and travel speed of laser on the kerfwidth together. From the results of experiments, the allowable cutting region and the relationship between the effective heat input and kerfwidth for the case of cutting of CSP 1N sheet using high power CW Nd:YAG laser have been obtained to improve the dimensional accuracy of the cut area.

Measuring Nuclear Power Plant Negative Externalities through the Life Satisfaction Approach: The Case of Ulsan City

  • We have hypothesized that nuclear risk is significantly inversely related to the distance from residences to nuclear power plants and that the level of life satisfaction of residents therefore increases with the distance. We empirically explore the relationship between Ulsan citizens' life satisfaction levels and the distance between their residences and the Kori and Wolsong nuclear power plants (NPP) based on the life satisfaction approach (LSA). The dataset we used covers only Ulsan citizens from the biennial Ulsan Statistics on Citizen's Living Condition and Consciousness of 2014 and 2016. Controlling for micro-variables such as education, work satisfaction, gender, marital status, and expenditures, we found a statistically significant relationship between life satisfaction and the distance between the residences and the nuclear power plants. Nuclear negative externalities including (i) health and environmental impact, (ii) radioactive waste disposal, and (iii) the effect of severe accidents can be quantified in terms of LS units and monetary units. We were able to calculate the monetary value of NPP externalities at $277 per kilometer of distance for Kori and $280 per kilometer of distance for Wolsong at constant 2015 prices. These estimates are quite different from the traditional estimates made with the contingent valuation method, whereas they are similar to the findings of LSA studies abroad. Hence, the need to adopt the LSA in South Korea and policy implications are demonstrated.

  • This objective study were to classify the contents of makeup behavior, to investigate the relationship between makeup behavior and sex role identity, and to examine how the makeup behavior, makeup satisfaction was influenced by sex role identity and demographics. To achieve this, the researchers surveyed 162 women for the ages of 18 through 25. The result of this study are followed. 1) Four factor of makeup behavior were sexual attractiveness, aesthetic, psychological dependence and makeup interest. 2) There were significant positive relationship between makeup behavior and sex role identity. 3) Sexual attractiveness were influenced by femininity, income. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 8.5%. Aesthetic were influenced by masculinity. The explanatory power of the 1 variable was 9.2%. Psychological dependence were influenced by femininity. The explanatory power of the 1 variable was 8.2%. Makeup interest were influenced by masculinity, age. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 9.0%. 4 Makeup satisfaction were influenced by sexual attractiveness, aesthetic. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 22.1%.

죄와 은혜: "권능과 영광" (Sin and grace: The Power and the Glory)

  • The purpose of this article is to examine the relationship between sin and grace represented in The Power and the Glory. This work is composed of two thriller patterns of the pursuer and the pursed. The first pursuit is that the whisky priest, the representative of religious order is pursued by the lieutenant, the representative of secular order. And the second pursuit is that the whisky priest is trying to escape from God. In the course of his flight from God the whisky priest discovers his sinful nature and this self-recognition helps him restore his proper relationship with God. When he was a young priest he had religious piety, but he didn't feel true love for others. Ironically, after he is corrupted he finds his sinful nature and regrets his wrong behavior. He then comes to understand God's will and his responsibility to have love for the miserable human beings. The whisky priest is willing to accept his destiny as a martyr, after having repented his sins to God. Though the lieutenant captures the whisky priest and executes him, he doesn't feel triumph or hope but feels empty. The Power and the Glory shows us the irony that the lieutenant's power is a symbol of his weakness, while the priest's weakness is a symbol of his power.

원자력 발전소 건설 프로젝트에서 갈등이 협력과 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Conflict on Collaboration and Performance in Nuclear Power Plant Construction Projects)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of conflicts and cooperation on project performance in the nuclear power plant construction project, thus contributing to the successful performance of project participants and the achievement of project objectives. Methods: This study used a method of conducting a survey of participants in the nuclear power plant construction project and verifying the hypothesis statistically. Results: The results of this study are as follows; First, role conflicts and relationship conflicts have negative effects on collaboration. Second, role conflicts have a negative effects on project performance, but conflict in relation has no significant effects on project performance. Third, collaboration has a positive effects on project performance. Finally, the communication quality in the relationship between conflict and collaboration has been shown to have a Moderated effect. Conclusion: In order to achieve the goal in the nuclear power plant construction project, the level of collaboration should be improved based on conflict management among project participants.

Improvement of prediction methods of power increase in regular head waves using calm-water and resistance tests in waves

  • This paper applies load variation method to predict speed-power-rpm relationship along with propulsive performances in regular head waves, and to derive overload factors (ITTC, 2018). 'Calm-water tests' and 'resistance test in waves' are used. The modified overload factors are proposed taking non-linearity into consideration, and applied to the direct powering, and resistance and thrust identity method. These indirect methods are evaluated through comparing the speed-power-rpm relationships with those obtained from the resistance and self-propulsion tests in calm water and in waves. The objective ship is KVLCC2. The load variation method predicts well the speed-power-rpm relationship and propulsion performances in waves. The direct powering method with modified overload factors also predicts well. The resistance and thrust identity method with modified overload factor predicts with a little difference. The direct powering method with overload factors predicts with a relatively larger difference.
