커먼레일 연료분사 시스템을 장착한 2.9 리터급 경량 DME 트럭의 연구 및 개발 (Research and Development of a 2.9 Liter Light-duty DME Truck Using Common Rail Fuel Injection Systems)

  • In this study, the trucks(2.9-liter) have been developed to use DME as fuel, and performance test of the vehicle's DME engine, power, emissions, fuel economy and vehicle aspects was conducted. For experiments, the fuel system(common-rail injectors and high-pressure pump included) and the engine control logic was developed, and ECU mapping was performed. As a result, the rail pressure from 40MPa to approximately 65% increase compared to the base injector has been confirmed that. Also, the pump discharge flow is 15.5 kg/h when the fuel rail pressure is 400rpm(40MPa), and the pump discharge flow is 92.1 kg/h when the fuel rail pressure is 2,000rpm(40MPa). The maximum value of full-load torque capability is 25.5 kgfm(based on 2,000 rpm), and more than 90% compared to the level of the diesel engine were obtained. The DME vehicle was developed in this study, 120 km/h can drive to the stable, and calculated in accordance with the carbon-balance method of fuel consumptions is 5.7 km/L.

  • 자동차 배기가스 규제가 강화됨에 따라 천연가스에 수소를 첨가하는 수소-천연가스 혼합연료(HCNG)를 기존의 압축천연가스(CNG) 엔진에 적용하려는 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 수소의 높은 연소 속도로 인한 역화, 조기착화, 노킹(knocking) 등의 이상연소 발생 가능성은 엔진의 가열 또는 열효율 및 출력의 저하를 야기하는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CNG 연료에 수소를 일정 부분 혼합한 HCNG 연료를 기존의 CNG 엔진에 적용하여 희박연소 한계 확장을 통해 연소 성능 개선을 확인하고, CNG와 HCNG 연료의 노킹 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 공기과잉율의 변화에 따른 노킹 발생 조건을 관찰함으로써 HCNG 연료의 적용성 및 노킹마진을 평가하고자 하였다. HCNG 연료 사용 시 최적운전조건에서 노킹 문제없이 엔진을 운전할 수 있었으나 노킹이 일어날 수 있는 가능성이 높아져 이에 대한 대비가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

CODOG 함정 추진체계 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of CODOG Propulsion System Simulator)

  • 대잠, 대함, 보급 등, 함정에 요구되는 임무가 다양해지면서 함정의 추진체계 또한 임무를 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 ECS(Engineering Control System)를 필요로 한다. ECS는 추진체계를 모니터링하고 제어함으로써 함정이 임무를 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 최근 ECS 국산화 개발이 진행되면서 ECS에 대한 시험 검증을 위한 시스템이 요구되었고, CODOG 기반의 함정 추진체계 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. CODOG 기반의 함정 추진체계 시뮬레이터는 가스터빈 모델, 디젤엔진 모델, 감속기어 모델, 가변추진기 모델로 나누어 제어 명령에 대한 피드백을 모의한다. 실험 결과, ECS 추진 모드에 따른 가스터빈, 디젤엔진 및 축의 속도, 토크, 출력 등을 확인할 수 있었다.

Non-contact Transportation of Flat Panel Substrate by Combined Ultrasonic Acoustic Viscous and Aerostatic Forces

  • In recent years, the size of plane substrates and semiconductor wafers has increased. As conventional contact transportation systems composed of, for example, carrier rollers, belt conveyers, and robot hands carry these longer and wider substrates, the increased weight results in increased potential for fracture. A noncontact transportation system is required to solve this problem. We propose a new noncontact transportation system combining acoustic viscous and aerostatic forces to provide damage-free transport. In this system, substrates are supported by aerostatic force and transported by acoustic viscous streaming induced by traveling wave deformation of a disk-type stator. A ring-type piezoelectric transducer bonded on the stator excites vibration. A stator with a high Q piezoelectric transducer can generate traveling vibrations with amplitude of $3.2{\mu}m$. Prior to constructing a carrying road for substrates, we clarified the basic properties of this technique and stator vibration characteristics experimentally. We constructed the experimental equipment using a rotational disk with a 95-mm diameter. Electric power was 70 W at an input voltage of 200 Vpp. A rotational torque of $8.5\times10^{-5}Nm$ was obtained when clearance between the stator and disk was $120{\mu}m$. Finally, we constructed a noncontact transport apparatus for polycrystalline silicon wafers $(150(W)\times150(L)\times0.3(t))$, producing a carrying speed of 59.2 mm/s at a clearance of 0.3 mm between the stator and wafer. The carrying force when four stators acted on the wafer was $2\times10^{-3}N$. Thus, the new noncontact transportation system was demonstrated to be effective.

Dynamics model of the float-type wave energy converter considering tension force of the float cable

  • We have developed the novel device that can extract energy from ocean waves utilizing the heaving motion of a floating mass. The major components of the energy converter are: a floater, a counterweight, a cable, a driving pulley, two idler pulleys, a ratchet, and a generator. The device generates power through the tension force in the cable and the weight difference between the floater and the counterweight. When the system is at static free condition, the tension in the cable is equal to the weight of the counterweight which is minimum. Therefore it is desirable to keep the counterweight lighter than the floater. However, experiments show that during the rise of the water level, the torque generated by weight of the counterweight is insufficient to rotate the driving pulley which causes the cable on the floater side to slack. The proposed application of the tension pulley rectifies these problems by preventing the cable from becoming slack when the water level rises. In this paper, the dynamics model is modified to incorporate the dynamics of the tension pulley. This has been achieved by first writing the dynamical equations for the tension pulley and the energy converter separately and combining them later. This paper investigates numerically the effect of the tension pulley on various physical quantities such as the cable tension, the floater displacement, and the floater velocity. Results obtained indicate that this application is successful in suppressing large fluctuations of the cable tension.

단상 유도전동기의 속도제어 시스템 (Speed Control System of Single Phase Induction Motor)

  • Until recent years, most of the researches for motor drives focus on the high performance drive of the three phase induction motor, and that of the single phase induction motor(SPIM) is out of interest. The SPIM is widely used at low power level because it has the simple construction and economic advantage. In general such machine has both main winding and auxiliary winding. Conventionally, these winding are fed by only one single phase source, and the speed of the motor is not controlled. The SPIM with an auxiliary winding can be treated as an asymmetrical two phase machine. In this paper the space vector Equivalent circuit of SPIM is derived. For vector control of the SPIM the stator current must be decoupled into the flux producing component and the torque producing component. To accomplish decoupling control, the conventional method requires complex calculation and large computation time. We proposed the equivalent circuit referred to the rotor side, in this case only the stator resistances in the direct axis and the quadrature axis are different each other and the other parameters are represented to be equal. Thus the decoupling of the stator current is similar to that of the three phase induction motor. In this paper, the novel vector control system of the single phase induction motor is proposed. To verify the feasibility of this scheme, simulation and experimentation are carried out. The results prove the excellent characteristics for the dynamic response, which confirms the validity of the proposed system.

수평축 풍력터빈의 공력 하중 비교 (I): 난류 유입 유·무 (Comparison of Aerodynamic Loads for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (I): with and without Turbulent Inflow)

  • 본 연구에서는 난류 유입조건을 갖는 수평축 풍력터빈 블레이드의 공력 하중에 대해 초점을 맞추어 연구하였다. 난류모델은 풍속과 방향에 대한 변동을 포함하며, 그 특성은 난류 강도와 표준편차로 표현된다. IEC61400-1에서는 정상 난류 모델과 정상 풍속 측면도에 대해서 피로해석을 수행하도록 규정하고 있다. 이를 위해 공력 최적설계 절차를 통해 얻어낸 MW급 수평축 풍력터빈 블레이드 허브와 저속 회전축에 대한 공력하중 해석을 수행한다. 공력하중 성분은 수치적인 절차를 통해 얻어내며 이를 블레이드 회전 특성을 고려하여 해석적으로 검토하였다. 난류 조건을 고려했을 때의 최대 추력과 토크의 변동치는 난류 조건을 고려하지 않았을 때의 값들에 비해 5~8 배 더 큰 값을 보였다. 따라서 난류 조건을 반영한 하중 해석은 풍력터빈 블레이드의 구조설계에 있어서 필수적임을 확인하였다.

헬리콥터 무베어링 주로터의 동특성 시험 (Dynamic Characteristics of Helicopter Bearingless Main Rotor)

  • 이 논문에서는 무베어링 로터의 동특성을 비회전 강성 및 진동수 측정 시험과 회전 훨타워 시험을 통해 살펴보았다. 무베어링 로터의 주요 구성품인 블레이드, 유연보, 토크튜브에 대해 강성 및 고유진동수를 측정하여 해석을 위한 물성치를 확보하였고, 훨타워 시험 전에 댐퍼와 스너버를 장착한 무베어링 로터를 조립하여 지상에서 하중이 부가되는 조건하에 기능시험을 수행하여 로터 구성품간의 간섭 여부, 기구학적 거동 등을 확인하였다. 4개의 블레이드를 가지고 회전반경이 5.82m인 무베어링 로터의 회전 동특성시험을 회전면 높이가 9.65m인 훨타워에서 수행하였다. 정지비행성능을 확인하기 위해 추력과 사용동력을 측정하였으며, 회전시 블레이드의 고유진동수 및 감쇠를 측정하기 위해 유압 가진기를 통하여 사이클릭 가진을 하였다.

가변 유압모터를 이용한 전동지게차 리프트회생 효율에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Regeneration Efficiency of the Electric Forklift Using the Variable Hydraulic Motor)

  • In modern society, the energy-saving problem of industrial vehicles is economically and environmentally critical. Energy savings using the potential energy of forklifts are one of the viable solutions to resolving this problem. The basic concept of this study is to operate the hydraulic motor and recharge the battery using the flow rate from the cylinder when loading heavy objects and lowering the fork. To save energy, the torque and rotational speed of the generator should be optimized according to the load and descent speed to increase efficiency. To this end, we propose a system that optimizes energy saving efficiency by controlling the swashplate angle of the variable hydraulic motor through the GA(Genetic-Algorithm). The results were verified by building and comparing fixed motor models and variable motor models using the AMEsim. The results of the study show that the proposed optimized swashplate angle increases the energy saving efficiency by approximately 6%-8%, depending on the working conditions.
