After Liberation of Korea, Korean fisheries economy fell into an exhausted conditions because of the damage of Japanese colonization policy and the Korean War, and fisheries organizations of those days established for the improvement of fishermen's welfare could not carry out their primary purposes and functions. Under such circumstances, Fisheries Cooperatives starting on April 1st in 1961 played a great role in settling the socio-economic confusion of those days. Fisheries financing was also more systematic and substantial after establishment of Fisheries Cooperatives. In fact fisheries industry was faced with much more riskiness than any other industry on account of its speciality and such a riskiness induced general financial institutions to be reluctant to lend money to the fishermen. In order to overcome such a capital rationing, it was necessary to establish the reciprocal financing system based on the principle of mutual protection of economic weakers. Credit business in Fisheries Cooperatives beginning in 1963 was mainly dependent on governmental fund as fund sources. But the size of fund was too small to satisfy fishermen's fund demand, therefore Fisheries Cooperatives carried out the movement of raising its own fund. As a result of the movement the ratio of its own fund to total funds amounted to 47.7% in 1980, but external funds still take a greater part of all funds. To settle the weakness of the ratio of its own fund and chronic deficiency of fund, a conclusion can be drawn as follows : 1. The enlargement of Fisheries Cooperatives' raising ability of funds. .The expansion of urban branch to absorb idle funds in urban area. .The diversification of financing service to compete with genetral financial institutions. 2. The enlargement of governmental fund and preferential treatment of fishermen's savings. 3. Vitalization of mutual finance and fixation of Fisheries Cooperatives' two-phase organization. 4. The re-enforcement of supervisory financing and post management system.
In the Middle Ages it was customary to cover up the hair, but the Renaissance brought uncovered coiffures with the revival of humanism. In those days, silk and linen veil, ribbon, string of pearl used for covering, wrapping round with the hair. During the Baroque period, the style of hair was to pursue the beauty of imbalance in form, reflecting the atmosphere of the time. Hurluberlu and Fontanges hairstyles were in fashion. Then in the Rococo period, huge, resplendent coiffures of exquisite beauty were invented as a symbol of power, and these modes of hairdo were a dominant force in the culture of personal adornment of that time. Pouf and enfant hairstyles were in fashion. As a reaction against the extravagance of the proceding modes, late 18th and early 19th centuries brought revival of simpler hairstyles of ancient Greece and Rome by the influence of neoclassicism. The latter half of the 1820's onwards saw he reappearance of voluminous coiffures as well as an enormous variation of knots with combinations of false knots and chignons. Late 19th through early 20th centuries was the period of beautifully waved hair, the style of which was an integration of Marcel waves and Art Nouveau. The 20th century saw the epoch-making invention of permanent waves using electricity. Concurrently, with an increasing participation of women in social affairs since pre-and post-World War I periods, as well as with Art Deco in full flourish, bobbed hair was created in pursuit of lightness and nimbleness, quickly showing the change of women's modes of life. Hair fashions thoroughly embody the aesthetic sense of each period, reflecting the landscape of contemporary society.
On September 24th of 1945, the existing Health Department under the Bureau of Economy and Trade was abolished complying with the Article 1 of the Ordinance of US military occupation "Establishment of Health Bureau". After the establishment of the Health Bureau, one of its first priorities was to select South Korean medical doctors and send them away to the US for training "in order to educate the talents necessary for the Health Bureau to address the public hygiene and health issues of Korea". Under the sponsorship of Rockefeller Foundation, the US Military Government sent 10 Korean medical doctors to three universities. After they came back to Korea from the training in the US, they played significant roles in building and managing the Korean health and medical system under the US Military Government as well as during the post-war of Korea and in the 1960s-1970s. Furthermore, they made a great contribution to expanding and transplanting the 'American-style' health and medical system in heath administration, health research and medical education in Korea. On the one hand, this means the limitation and elimination of an independent, progressive idea in the health and medical field as the influence of the US within the country after the liberation expanded. The lives of 10 doctor represent an important symbol of how the Korean health and medical field has been established under the domestic and overseas political conditions, 'colonization-liberation-military occupation of the Powers', and one part of the concrete history.
After the second world war the vulgar functionalism, which was called as the international style, was developed in the interest of the post capitalistic society. The vulgar functionalism reflected only inhuman commercialism and brought to psycho-mental and social problems. By the result in the mid-sixties the criticism movement of the functionalism had began as a king of the 68-movement in the german architecture and design scene. And it went on in the seventies, and had a decisive influence on the forming of the extended functionalism. The extended functionalism is bases on the definition of functions in the using process of the mass production and consumption society. Those functions, viz. Practical Function, Theoretical Function, Ecological Function, (formal-) Aesthetical Function, Indicating Function, Symbolical Function, have been the core criteria in the analysis and developing phase of the todays' german design scene.

The World Commission on Dams (WCD) in November 2000 published "Dams and Development" as its only and final report. The report proposed "internationally acceptable criteria and standards" Despite the (act that the WCD itself did not regard the report as a blue print, many NGO's strongly support the report and the guidelines, and demand that they be adopted in their current form by funding organizations. The WCD recommendations and guidelines were found to have several "generic" problems, and the proposed guidelines appear unable to be applied as they stand. The authors assume that only several of these guidelines are operational and many of these are either too experimental or theoretical to be put into use. Furthermore, some seemingly "ready for operation" guidelines still need to be enhanced to be really operational in the real world. About 2,000 large dams were constructed in Japan after the Second World War. Various principles and mechanisms were then developed to better address the issues related to involuntary resettlement. The knowledge accumulated through large dam construction projects in Japan may be applied to other countries. The aim of this paper is to identify the lessons, out of the experiences gained in Japan through large dam construction projects in the past, which could be applicable for future large dam construction projects in other nations. The socio-economic settings as well as legal frameworks in Japan may differ other nation. Nevertheless, the following aspects of the experiences gained in Japan are found to be both applicable and useful for future large dam construction projects abroad: (a) Integrity of community in the negotiation process, (b) Provision of alternative occupations, (c) Funding mechanism in the post-project period, (d) Measures needed during planning process, and (e) Making resettlers "shareholders". These lessons may prove useful to enhance the WCD guidelines.

The purpose of this study was development of 'Environmental Science' of high school appropriate to Sixth Natinal Education Curriculum. In view that ultimate aim of environmental education is forming responsible environmental behaviors and the goals of values and behaviors are as important as knowledges and skills, A new environmental text of high school level was developed and it was based on analysis of seven texts and environmental education in Fifth Korean Curriculum. This text have seven units, 1.Habitates : What're the Meanings?, 2.Nuclear Energy: Can't be Avoid?, 3.Acid Rain : What're the Messages", 4.Ethanol : Is this Future Fuel?, 5.Wastes : A New War!, 6.What're the National and Global Environmental Issues? and 7.Our Water: Can Drink, Really? This text was stressed equally in goals of four environmental education and avoided from the array of knowledges. Therefore included various teaching strategies and independent actions of students. 'Open-ended value learning' and 'free behavior learning' in text were special learning parts for aquisition of values and formation of behaviors. To verify the effects of new developed environmental text, the direct learning was carried out by 286 students in total. Post test scores of experimental groups per each units were significantly higher than those of control groups about four goals, respectively. The Results of questionnaires by 50 teachers from five different schools were as follows. For validity of selecting contents for units, 74% of respondents replied positively. For classification and presentation of four goal-groups, 90% replied positively in validity and 82%, in utility. For validity of various teaching strategies, 88% and for the degree of including student-centered independent actions, 86% replied positively. For importances and expected effects of 'open-ended value learning' and 'free behavior learning', showed positive responses respectively, 88%, 92%. Therefore this text is effective to acheive four goals of environmental education equally.
Purpose: To understand the development of nursing education of North Korea after 1945. Method: First, collecting primary sources published in NK. Second, collecting secondary sources published in South Korea. Third, interview with South Korean medical personnels who visited NK. Forth, interview with medical personnels who escaped NK. Result: After 1945 NK increased health care facilities in short time and had the policy of training medical personnel in short time. Nursing education was focused on the basic practice. NK could begin free medical treatment for the laborer in 1947. Post Korean War restoration and free medical treatment system of national level in 1950s and 1960s served to the health promotion of NK population. The medical personnel training policy continued and the number of R.N. in NK had increased 13 times in 15 years. NK has tried to increase the quality of health care service and medical personnel since 1970s. Nursing education in medical colleges is three-year course but 6 month training courses in general hospitals continue. They focus on primary prevention and oriental medicine in nursing curriculum reflecting the characteristics of NK medial care. But English and high technology is very poor, and there is no computer related curriculum. Conclusion: nursing education in NK has developed reflecting the changes of NK society and health care since 1945. After 1980s NK is in deep economic depression and it is hard to recover from the state with their hands. In this state, we cannot expect the development of nursing education in NK.
After the war, the circle literature movement took place in Japan around the 1950s. The subjects of the national movement, the Korean-Japanese, have produced and expanded their political rights and claims through circles and organs in conjunction with the literary movement. However, the results of analyzing the exchanges and conflicts between the political subjects of the Korean national movement and the literary circle movement as a concrete case to date are still insignificant. After liberation, the endless worries and confrontations to the post-colonialization of literary Koreans in Japan were analyzed as 'community with Republic of Korea and Japan', 'topic and creative language', and as 'conflict with Korean association in japan'. The process leading to dissolution was analyzed. The spirit of the era of Koreans in Japan in the 1950s identified in this paper is expected to suggest a new direction for the starting point of study of the humanities in Japan.
It was the year of 1903 when avantgarde artists in Vienna gave a birth to the Wiener Werkstaette under the influence of Aesthetic Movement and Guild of Handicraft from England. This study is on the backgrounds of the birth of the Wiener Werkstaette its artis-tic motto and world-wide echo it provoked. This thesis goes back to the time when the decadent Wiener Secession shaped up refiewing the Reform Movement It also covers characteristics works of major members of the Wiener Werkstaette which were produced on the basis of the concept of Gesmtkunstwerk, The conclusion of this study is that : 1. Without losing its own specifc features various fields of formative arts were combinded together coherently and succeeded to realize the idealistic art that is the com-posite are 2. The Wiener Werkstaette was strongly opposed to the ready-made clothes which be-came popular as the society was Industrialized and commercialized. unlike those ready-to-wear clathes those members of the Wiener Werkstaette preferred to make each clothes with different mateirals and printed their own unique pattern designs. 3.As a results of close relationships between the Wiener Werkstaette and paul poiret 'Stu-dio Martine' was established in paris and new pattern deslhns were introduced by Raoul Dufy. 4. After the break-out of World War One cultural exchanges with other foreign countries were vuirtually cut off and the Wiener Werkstaette was disconnected from the influence of Parisl That was the motive for Wiener Werkstaette to start building up its unique artistic style with peculiar materials techniques and methods of productionl Those brisk and creative activities of the Wiener Werkstaette brought forth "the Golden perlod of 1920s" 5. Its historic design and ornamental pattern were assessed as a prelude to the Post-mod-ernism Since the late 1970s with the redis-covery of the culture of vienna in 1900s. the Art to wear which was created by the 'Wiener Werkstaette' but unfortunately tucked away by the Greate Depression and nationalism has been revaluated and studied. In Korea it was since 1985 when 'the art to wear' began to gain attention widely. It is urged that the theory of the 'Gesamtkunstwerk' should be also ac-cepted and shared earnestly.
The Philippines was colonized by Spain for about centuries, from 1521 to 1898, and ruled by America for around four decades, from 1899 to 1946. After recovering from the Second World War, the government started to harness human labor as export itself. In the present time the overseas Filipinos keep the economy afloat with their steady transfer of money to relatives and dependents. Through the art works, the issue which Filipinos were exploited and exported by its government has been reflected as the various allegories. As Filipinos traditionally follow and keep Catholic belief, themes of Christ's sacrifice has allegorically been represented as salvation, struggle, suppression, and emancipation of people. Through the allegory, we can interpret both the intrinsic and superficial texts. Also we can identity certain modes of the visuality of allegory in selected works from Philippine art history that in their complex mediations materialize the people and dignity of their predicament and their prevailing. Philippine art can be divided as three different features: passion, vagrancy, and mass formation. The passion stage was depicted as deep structure of Christian thought and devotional feeling, harsh capitalist system. In the pictures of vagrancy, under the regime of Ferdinand Marcos, the themes of drift, deprivation, and homelessness are reckoned through the images of pictures. The stories represented with allegory have been played an important role to bring local issues up as national ones. Those stages take us to the processes of mass formation or the depiction of the people as a moment in the totality of force. The allegorical sign refers to another sign that precedes it, but with which it will never able to coincide reach back to a previous stage and in this constant attempt at return incorporates a structural distance from its origin. The true people's art is one that radically generates transformative technologies and techniques so that it irrevocably breaks the plane of "art". In the painting, the truth is represented by functioning as foundation of a rhetoric of the image. And at this axis, the passional, the vagrant, and the mass formation tend to come together because they render the form of contingency that must be suffered and hopefully surpassed, a Filipino subjectivity that must be stitched in time.
