  • Recently, large amount of information in IDS(Intrusion Detection System) can be un manageable and also be mixed with false prediction error. In this paper, we propose a data mining methodology for IDS, which contains uncertainty based on training process and post-processing analysis additionally. Our system is trained to classify the existing attack for misuse detection, to detect the new attack pattern for anomaly detection, and to define border patter between attack and normal pattern. In experimental results show that our approach improve the performance against existing attacks and new attacks, from 0.62 to 0.84 about 35%.

  • To exchange CAD data between heterogeneous CAD systems, we generally use a neutral format especially STEP, which is the international standard (ISO-10303) for product model data exchange. AP214 (Application Protocol) for the automotive industry not only takes into account geometry and organizational data, but also provides a classification mechanism for product modeling. When reading a STEP file during a design process that is exported from other CAD systems, it is a burden to a designer to go through the tedious process of removing duplicate or non-manifold entities, adjusting parts, and rearranging text. We analyze the structure of AP214 and develop a healing tool to solve the following problem. Without the assembly information in the Master workspace of CATIA, or to read a STEP file from Pro/Engineer, a designer should do a repetitive process of disintegrating an assembly into parts one by one. We have developed a post-processing tool for STEP AP214 that separates out a part from an assembly model and adjusts superfluous or useless entities using the ACIS kernel.

  • Horace N. Allen, an American physician, was a Presbyterian missionary to Korea. In 1886, he wrote the annual report of the Korean government hospital, summarizing patient statistics according to outpatient and inpatient classification for the first ever in Korean history. In the report, he speculated that hemoptysis cases of outpatient might have been mainly caused by distoma. Allen's conjecture was noteworthy because only a few years lapsed since the first scientific report of paragonimiasis. However, he was not sure of his assumption either because it was not evidently supported by proper microscopic or post-mortem examinations. In this letter, we thus revisit his assumption with our parasitological data recently obtained from Joseon period mummies.

  • Pre-service teachers (PST) are students who are developing their mindset, persistence, instructional practices, and perception of tasks from two perspectives: as current students and as future teachers. As part of a larger study with PSTs engaged in a mindset intervention, this study quantitatively investigated PSTs mindset and persistence. During professional development (PD), PSTs engaged in multiple strategies (MS) tasks that promoted changes to PSTs mindset and persistence. PSTs' mindset pre- and post- PD were categorized after attending at least 4 interventions as fixed, mixed, or growth using the theory of intelligence, and their persistence as high or low using the Grit-S. Changes in categorization were noticed and explored for reasons of what could be done to make mindset interventions more effective such as consistently using challenging mathematics tasks with more open ended answers and focusing on discussion based mathematical lessons.

  • This study suggests a revised model of Lévi-Strauss' culinary triangle, which is frequently cited in food-related articles. To scrutinize how the media shares content about food and to remediate food discourse, this study conducted a focus group interview and targeted food program viewers and classified discoursal elements or nodes by Nvivo qualitative tools. In the process of classification, it found what seems to be hard to explain in the current food culture with Lévi-Strauss' culinary triangle, even if it still depicts appropriately, in the post-modern era implied complexity. Then, it arranged obtained discoursal nodes and analyzed the relationship between them. Interestingly, food in media plays as an important role beyond food itself, such as it can trigger memories, create social divides, play a role in economic invigoration, etc. Consequently, this paper suggests the revised culinary triangle model expanded from Lévi-Strauss' in which traces the molding process of food remediation with discoursal nodes in stages.

  • Shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS) is a common musculoskeletal condition characterized by pain and functional limitation due to the impingement of subacromial structures. This comprehensive review elucidates the complex nature of SIS, covering its pathophysiology, diagnostic methodologies, treatment options, and preventive measures. Through an exhaustive examination of current literature and clinical practices, the review highlights the importance of a multifaceted approach to SIS management. Physical therapy plays a pivotal role, focusing on exercises to strengthen shoulder musculature, enhance scapular stability, and improve range of motion. The review also discusses the strategic use of medications such as NSAIDs and corticosteroid injections, emphasizing their effectiveness in pain and inflammation management. Additionally, it advocates for structured rehabilitation programs post-treatment to restore function and prevent recurrence, recommending preventive strategies like ergonomic adjustments, targeted exercises, and proper technique training. This paper underscores the need for personalized and evidence-based treatment strategies, integrating physical therapy and pharmacological management when necessary.

  • Reliable assessment of Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) changes greatly improves many practical issues in hydrography, socio-geographical research such as the observation of erosion and accretion, coastal monitoring, ecological effects evaluation. Remote sensing imageries can offer the outstanding capability to monitor nature and extent of land and associated changes over time. Nowadays accurate analysis using remote sensing imageries with high spatio-temporal resolution is required for environmental monitoring. This study develops a methodology of mapping and change detection in LULC by using classified Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-2 (KOMPSAT-2) multispectral imageries at Jeonbuk and Jeonnam provinces including protected tidal flats located in the west coasts of Korean peninsula from 2008 to 2015. The LULC maps generated from unsupervised classification were analyzed and evaluated by post-classification change detection methods. The LULC assessment in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam areas had not showed significant changes over time although developed area was gradually increased only by 1.97% and 4.34% at both areas respectively. Overall, the results of this study quantify the land cover change patterns through pixel based analysis which demonstrate the potential of multispectral KOMPSAT-2 images to provide effective and economical LULC maps in the coastal zone over time. This LULC information would be of great interest to the environmental and policy mangers for the better coastal management and political decisions.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate relapse tendency after orthodontic treatment and determine the contributing factors by using the American Board of Orthodontics objective grading system (ABO-OGS). Methods: The subjects were 80 patients with more than 2 years of retention period after completing orthodontic treatment at the dental hospitals of Busan University, Kyunghee University, and Dankook University. The posttreatment (T2) and post-retention (T3) ABO-OGS measurements were analyzed in relation to age, gender, Angle's classification, extraction, retention period, and pretreatment condition (initial peer assessment rating (PAR) index, T1) by multiple regression analysis. Results: Among the 7 ABO-OGS criteria, alignment worsened but occlusal contact and interproximal contact improved in T3, but not in T2 ($p$ < 0.01). The 4 other criteria showed no significant differences. Multiple regression analysis showed that alignment, occlusal relationship, overjet, and interproximal contact were significant linear models, but with a low explanation power. Age, gender, Angle's classification, extraction, retention period, and pretreatment condition (initial PAR index, T1) had little influence on the ABO-OGS changes between T3 and T2. Conclusions: An orthodontist's understanding of posttreatment relapse tendency can be useful in diagnosis and during patient consultation.

  • In this paper, we have studied on cinstructing code-recognition shstem by neural network according to a image process taking the DOT classification code stamped on tire surface. It happened to a few problems that characters distorted in edge by diffused reflection and two adjacent characters take the same label, even very sen- sitive to illumination ofr recognition the stamped them on tire. Thus, this paper would propose the algorithm for tire code under being cinscious of these properties and prove the algorithm drrciency with a simulation. Also,we have suggerted the MCBP network composing of multi-linked recognizers of dffcient identify the DOT code being tire classification code. The MCBP network extracts the projection balue for classifying each character's rdgion after taking out the prjection of each chracter's region on X,Y axis, processes each chracters by taking 7$\times$8 normalization. We have improved error rate 3% through the MCBP network and post-process comparing the DOT code Database. This approach has a accomplished that learming time get's improvenent at 60% and recognition rate has become to 95% from 90% than BckPropagation with including post- processing it has attained greate rates of entire of tire recoggnition at 98%.
