Implementation of Falling Accident Monitoring and Prediction System using Real-time Integrated Sensing Data

  • In 2015, the number of senior citizens aged 65 and over in Korea was 6,662,400, accounting for 13.1% of the total population. Along with these social phenomena, risk information related to the elderly is increasing every year. In particular, a fall accident caused by a fall can cause serious injury to an elderly person, so special attention is required. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented a system that monitors fall accidents and informs them in real time to minimize damage caused by falls. To this end, beacon-based indoor location positioning was performed and biometric information based on an integrated module was collected using various sensors. In other words, a multi-functional sensor integration module was designed based on Arduino to collect and monitor user's temperature, heart rate, and motion data in real time. Finally, through the analysis and prediction of measurement signals from the integrated module, damage from fall accidents can be reduced and rapid emergency treatment is possible. Through this, it is possible to reduce the damage caused by a fall accident, and rapid emergency treatment will be possible. In addition, it is expected to lead a new paradigm of safety systems through expansion and application to socially vulnerable groups.

웹 어플리케이션의 복잡도 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study of Estimation for Web Application Complexity)

  • 개발 패러다임이 점차 복잡한 웹 환경으로 전환되면서 복잡도에 대한 연구가 다시 활발해지고 있으나 아직 웹 어플리케이션의 구조나 복잡도 측정 매트릭에 정립된 이론이 부족한 실정이다. 또한 전통적 복잡도를 측정하는 프로그램 규모(LOC)나 순환복잡도 매트릭은 구현 후에나 알 수 있어 소프트웨어 개발주기 초기의 분석 및 설계 단계에는 큰 도움을 주지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실무에서 사용되는 6개 웹 프로젝트에 복잡도 인디케이터를 적용하여 결함 가능성이 높은 어플리케이션을 추출한다 추출한 61개의 프로그램을 대상으로 복잡도와 클래스 수 및 메소드 수에 대한 선형적 상관관계를 제안함으로써 웹어플리케이션의 복잡도를 구현 전에 미리 예측 가능하도록 하여 개발 프로세스의 인적 자원 관리나 비용 예측에 기여하고자 한다.

박물관 전시에서의 디지털 매체 적용에 관한 고찰 -서울시립대학교 기획전시를 중심으로- (Digital Media Application in Museum)

  • 서울시립대학교박물관 2010년 기획전시에 디지털매체가 어떻게 활용되었는지에 대한 것을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 전시 내용에 적절하게 다양한 형식으로 영상 음향매체가 활용되고 있었으며, 특히 전시공간 연출에 있어서의 디지털매체 활용의 측면은 앞으로 다양한 전시에 적극적으로 활용되어져야 할 것이다. 하지만 관람객과의 상호작용성면에 있어서의 효과를 확인할 수 없었다. 디지털매체의 표현방법의 다양화를 통해 전시내용의 효과적인 전달과 엔터테인먼트적인 효과로 관람객이 지루해 하지 않고 재방문을 하도록 유도해야 한다. 전시에 음향매체를 활용한 것은 영상매체 보다 더 강렬한 자극을 이끌어 낼 수 있고, 다른 전시매체와의 복합 연출에 따른 효과는 더욱 컸다고 볼 수 있다. 하지만 관람객에게 일방향성 정보제공으로 잘못 활용되어질 수 있으므로 단독 음향의 지향성 스피커나 헤드폰 등의 기술적 제고가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

A Study on Furniture Design for Disassembly

  • Modernity which is superficial phenomenon set off the mass scale for mass consumption and provide uniformly artificial environment. But natural destruction, environment pollution, resources exhaustion and so on has been caused by this and now ecology is threatened by destruction and damage beyond the limitation and human beings survival is even threatened. Accordingly furniture development for environment preservation considered environment problem is the urgent real situation. Recent paradigm is the concept of Eco-design which is the green design possible to live together in symbiosis, and new types of alternative furniture are needed in Korea as well. 'Furniture for disassembly' is presented as new method for alternative furniture. Furniture for disassembly can be presented by mainly two directions. The first main characteristic is what is assembled by the use of woodworking joints technique as an assembly structure system without any hardware. The second is what is presented as the structure possible to be assembled by simple manual tools with hardware without any glue. The advantages of furniture for disassembly are environment preservation, space application, transportation efficiency and shapeliness. In manufacture method which is different from present furniture, the application of traditional truss technique which uses various types of custom-made and connection technique in case of assemble structure system without hardware is the typical differences. This assembly method expects not only interest induction about assembly and disassembly of diagram per sub materials but also the development of emotion, the improvement of collaboration, space perception ability and shape sense, the improvement of solid body structure insight and so on, when it use in the furniture for children with the application to many kinds of structure with BANGDOOSANJ (Wedged), JUMUGJANGBU (Dovetail) or NABIEUNJANG (Dovetail Keys) and so on.

Moisture distribution in concrete subjected to rain induced wetting-drying

  • A rational estimation of moisture distribution in structural concrete is vital for predicting the possible extent and rate of progression of impending degradation processes. The paper proposes a numerical scheme for analysing the evolution of moisture distribution in concrete subjected to wetting-drying exposure caused by intermittent periods of rainfall. The proposed paradigm is based on the stage wise implementation of non-linear finite element (FE) analysis, with each stage representing a distinct phase of a typical wet-dry cycle. The associated boundary conditions have been constituted to realize the influence of various meteorological elements such as rain, wind, relative humidity and temperature on the exposed concrete surface. The reliability of the developed scheme has been demonstrated through its application for the simulation of experimentally recorded moisture profiles reported in published literature. A sensitivity analysis has also been carried out to study the influence of critical material properties on simulated results. The proposed scheme is vital to the service life modelling of concrete structures in tropical climates which largely remain exposed to the action of alternating rains.

의료서비스에서의 인터넷 에이전트 활용에 대한 고찰 (A Review on Application of Internet Agent in Healthcare Service)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine internet agent of IT(Information Technology) in health care industry Since IT is essential for corporate strategy in service management, this section examines IT in health care service, especially from the view of 'Agent Technology' that has been recently issued. Intelligent agent is a new paradigm for developing software applications. More than this, agent-based computing has been hailed as 'the next significant break-through in software development' and 'the new revolution in software'. And health care service is a non-mechanic, human-based service. This paper reviewed what possible suggestions or advices can be made to the health care service. Since many health care services using internet have been attempted over the recent years, this study will hopefully be able to come up with good suggestions from many aspects. Thus, information inequality between producer(physician) and consumer(patient) in health care service will be decreased through the introduction of agent technology.

  • Metal parts are produced by conventional methods such as casting, forging and cutting, extrusion, etc. However, nowadays, with additive manufacturing (AM), it is possible to directly commercialize by means of stacking of equipment to the 3D drawing and use of high precision tools such as laser source. Thus, drawing of materials is an important aspect in delivering good products. AM deals with production of lighter aircraft parts and few more three-dimensional molds, it wish to manufacture special medical parts and want to steadily expand the new market area. The cost of related equipment and materials are still expensive and difficult to obtain on a mass production. However, the ability to make changes and lead the innovation in the paradigm of traditional manufacturing process is still effective. In this paper, we introduce metal AM and the principles of the related devices, metal powder production process, and their application.

  • Recently, by applying the 4th industrial revolution technologies such as A.I., IoT, and big data to general residential infrastructure, various application services of residential-based are provided to residents through linkage and utilization between technologies. Accordingly, smart housing system is increasing as advanced living spaces that can improve the quality of life and convenience of residents. Such a smart housing is expected to be an item that can create new demands and markets in the construction industry since it provides a new paradigm that combines construction technology and IT by combining IT technology with existing construction industry. Based on this, it is expected that it will be possible to gradually develop large-scale markets such as smart buildings and smart cities. In this paper, therefore, we propose an artificial intelligence multiplex smart housing system as an intelligent platform that can autonomously manage and control the size of places and spaces, used for various purposes based on smart housing technology by using artificial intelligence systems.

한국어 말하기 능력 향상을 위한 과정극(process drama) 활용에 대한 고찰 -'세종한국어 회화 중급' 교재의 과제 단원 개발을 중심으로- (A Study on the Use of Process Drama to Improve Korean Speaking Ability: Focusing on a Unit Design of Sejong Intermediate Korean Conversation Coursebook)

  • This study attempts to apply process drama in teaching Korean speaking. For that goal, the first part of the study introduces the main features of process drama exploring the possible use of teaching Korean speaking, and the second part presents a concrete example of developing a unit of the Sejong intermediate Korean conversation coursebook which was designed using a process drama method. Process drama is a process-oriented drama activity which progresses only with the teacher and students' spontaneous participation. With its unique meaning-oriented interaction paradigm, it has been suggested as an effective way of teaching and learning a foreign language. Since it emphasizes students' spontaneity, cooperation, and authentic communication, it commonly provides plenty of opportunities for students to interact in a meaningful context. Despite its effectiveness in teaching speaking, it has rarely been used in KFL contexts. Considering the limited opportunities to practice speaking in KFL classrooms, using a communication-rich activity such as process drama would be an optimal solution. This study, therefore, examines possible application of process drama in teaching Korean speaking, and introduces sample speaking materials designed for KFL intermediate learners.

X 프로토콜 기반의 애플리케이션을 통한 씬-클라이언트 프레임워크 설계 (A Design of Framework for Thin-Client by using X Protocol based Application)

  • 네트워크 및 애플리케이션 기술의 발전은 컴퓨터, 모바일 시스템을 비롯한 정보기기의 활용에 커다란 변화를 야기시켰다. 60-70년대의 메인 프레임을 시작으로 80년대의 서버-클라이언트 패러다임을 거쳐 90년대 이후의 네트워크 컴퓨터 형태로 발전하는 과정에서 현재 컴퓨터 시스템은 독립적인 물리적 시스템에서 상호보완적인 네트워크 기반의 가상 시스템으로 진화하고 있다[1][2]. 네트워크 기반의 시스템에서 작업 수행에 필요한 애플리케이션과 데이터는 로컬 시스템에 해당하는 클라이언트가 아닌 서버에 저장된다[1]. 사용자는 네트워크를 통해 서버 상의 애플리케이션, 데이터를 마치 로컬 환경에서와 같이 활용할 수 있으며, 이러한 메커니즘에 의하여 클라이언트는 보다 경량화, 네트워크 친화적시스템으로 발전해나가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 씬-클라이언트를 보다 효율적으로 구현할 수 있는 가능성 있는 방안에 대해 논의하기로 한다. 서버 상의 애플리케이션과 데이터를 마치 로컬 환경에서 활용할 수 있도록 본 논문에서는 X프로토콜을 활용하였다. 기존의 단일화 된 서버 시스템과는 달리 프락시를 미들-티어로 설계하여 QoS 및 세션의 영속성을 제고하였다. 씬-클라이언트와 서버에 각각 X서버, Xvfb(X virtual frame buffer)를 구현하였고 세션 관리를 위하여 XSMP(X Session Management Protocol)을 적용하였다. 이를 통하여 최종적으로 단순한 서버 디스플레이 전달을 넘어, 서버 상의 애플리케이션이 네트워크를 경유하여 씬-클라이언트에 원격 애플리케이션으로 전달되도록 하는 씬-클라이언트 프레임워크를 제안하였다.
