In this paper, the necessary and sufficient conditions for strict positive realness of the rational transfer functions directly from basic definitions in the frequency domain are studied. A new frequency domain approach is used to check if a rational transfer function is a strictly positive real or not. This approach is based on the Taylor expansion and the Maximum Modulus Principle which are the fundamental tools in the complex functions analysis. Four related common statements in the strict positive realness literature which is appeared in the control theory are discussed. The drawback of these common statements is analyzed through some counter examples. Moreover a new necessary condition for strict positive realness is obtained from high frequency behavior of the Nyquist diagram of the transfer function. Finally a more simplified and completed conditions for strict positive realness of single-input single-output linear time-invariant systems are presented based on the complex functions analysis approach.
This study aimed to examine the relationship between the expectation of independent life in old age and intergenerational downward transfer of Korean old people. It was focused on old people who did not live with their adult children by using the raw data of "2008 the Korean study of Welfare Services for the Elderly". The data were analysed by multiple regression analysis. The results showed the degree of the expectation of independent life in old age had positive effect on economic and service downward transfer of old people. Concretely, the degree of the expectation of economic and physical independence had positive effect on economic and service downward transfer of old people. The degree of the expectation of emotional independence had positive effect on service downward transfer of old people, while it had no effect on economic downward transfer.

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between life satisfaction of the elderly and their transfer income (public transfer and private transfer income) using the 11th data of the Korea welfare panel study. In the analysis results, the public transfer income was analyzed to have a significantly positive (+) effect on the life satisfaction in the case of the elderly in general households while in the case of the elderly in low income households, private transfer income was analyzed to have a significantly positive (+) effect on life satisfaction. These results suggest that the public transfer income is 1,019,200 won (monthly average 849,000 won) in the case of the elderly in general households, and the public transfer income is found to have an effect to stabilize the income, which can be expected to increase the life satisfaction. However, in the case of the elderly in low income households, it was found to be 5,080,500 won (monthly average 424,000 won), half of the public transfer income of the elderly in general households. In the case of the elderly of low income households, it can be assumed that the private transfer income, which is the "uncomfortable" income source, fills up the unstable income stabilization gap and raises the life satisfaction. As a policy suggestion, first, by supplementing the basic pension system, which is an irrational part of public transfer income for the elderly with low income, it is necessary to design policy alternatives to enable economic stabilization of the elderly in low income households. Second, it is also necessary to actively review the introduction of income deduction plans for the transfer income of family members for the low income elderly households.

This paper reviewed the two proposed hypotheses. The first hypothesis is to test the relationship between knowledge management and incremental innovation, and the second hypothesis is to test the moderating effect of firm-size on that relationship. Data were gathered from 434 employees in service industry, and multiple regression analysis was used to test two proposed hypotheses. In the first hypothesis, it was appeared that knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer have positive effects on all incremental innovation factors (process innovation, operation innovation, service innovation). In the second hypothesis, it was appeared that firm-size has an positive interaction effect on incremental innovation in knowledge transfer, but not in knowledge acquisition. It means that knowledge transfer has more positive effect on incremental innovation in large firm-size than in small firm-size.

This study was carried out to obtain some fundamental data for designing thermally comfortable Korean folk clothes (KFC) which were classified into 4 groups according to seasons and materials. It was conducted to find the relationship among structural, thermal, and moisture transfer properties, and then the properties of heat and mositure transfer while changing thickness of air layer of selected similar fabrics with various thickness were examined. The summarized results of this study were as follows ; 1. The relationship between the structrual and thermal properties showed high positive correlation with thickness SE thermal insulation value (TIV), porosity & TIV. 2. The relationship between the structural and mositure transfer properties showed high negative correlation with thickness & moisture vapor permeability (Mp), porosity & Mp respectively. 3. The relationship between the heat and moisture transfer properites showed high negative correlation with qmax, air permeability (Ap), Mp & TIV while showed high positive with Ap & Mp respectively. 4. Resistance to dry heat transfer according to thickness of air layer for KFC was increassed rapidly up to 2 mm and above this increasing rate was reduced. Resistance to evaporative heat transfer was remarkable changes in 6∼8 mm but slowly in 6∼8 man. 5. Mioisture permeability index (i) according to thickness of air layer for KFC showed the greatest value at 2 mm but had not difference between groups according to thickness.

This study empirically investigated the effects of the target costing system as well as information technology(IT) infrastructure on the knowledge management processes(i.e., socialization, externalization, combination and internalization) and the performance of a firm. This study also examined an impact of the social capital(i.e., inter-departmental communication, trust, cooperation and integration) on the adoption and development of the target costing and the IT infrastructure. The results of this study showed that inter-departmental communication, trust and integration have a significant positive impact on the adoption of the target costing. It was also found that the effects of inter-departmental communication and integration on the development of storage and transfer infrastructure are significant and positive. However, in the adoption of search infrastructure, only the impact of inter-departmental integration was significant. The results of regression analyses presented that the target costing has significant influence on the four processes of knowledge management. It was also observed that the effects of storage and transfer infrastructure on combination are significant and positive. In search infrastructure, the impact on combination and internalization was significant. According to the results of this study, it was found that when the adoption level of the target costing is high, search infrastructure mainly affects the three processes(i.e., socialization, combination and internalization). However, under a low adoption level of the target costing, the impact of storage and transfer infrastructure on the whole processes was significant and positive. Thus, it is assumed that storage and transfer infrastructure complements a low level of the target costing adoption through the active transfer and sharing of explicit and tacit knowledge.

As the globalization process progresses more rapidly and widely, there has been a ever-growing demand for multilingual learning. Compared with the study of Second Language Acquisition, studies on the Third Language and even Multilingual Acquisition have attracted a relatively poor attention. At the same time, considering current educational environments for ethnic colleges and universities, the effects of college English teaching for minority students can be said to have been 'generally poor.' In this situation, when we try to find ways to improve college English studies for minority students most of whom already can speak two languages or even more, it would not be the best idea to keep following the experiences of traditional Second Language Acquisition. It is necessary first to find out whether there are positive or negative effects in acquiring multiple languages, and then to conduct a profound research on L3 (third language and even multilingual) Acquisition in order to employ more efficient teaching methods for multilingual learners. After conducting a Japanese-teaching experiment on two groups of learners with mono-lingual and bilingual backgrounds, it has been found that there is a positive transfer between different languages. In this paper, following the recent research findings on Language teaching for multilingual learners, I try to show with further supports that when it comes to language education for learners with multilingual backgrounds, we should focus on the advantages they may earn in order to conduct more effective language acquisition.
Purpose - this study analyzes the impact of restaurant startup education on transfer effects in learning and entrepreneurial intentions based on previous research. Also, problems and ways to provide effective business startup education for a restaurant founder will be proposed based on the result. Research design, data, methodolog - this study collected surveys by conducting direct investigation. From July 20th of 2016 to September 20th of 2016 (approximately 60 days), the survey was collected. Out of 540 surveys, 520 were collected. And excepting 9 surveys which were untrustworthily conducted, total 511 surveys were used for the analysis. Results - First, as a result of the impact of which factor of a restaurant founder's startup education has a positive impact on transfer effect in learning (the satisfaction of startup education and learning transfer), law education, entrepreneurship education and business district analysis education and practical education have turned out be positively related variables. Secondly, as a result of the impact of a restaurant founder's startup education satisfaction on transfer in learning, it has been identified that startup education has a positive impact. Lastly, by conducting an analysis to find out which factor from a restaurant founder's transfer effect in learning has an impact on entrepreneurial intention, all variables, including startup education satisfaction and transfer effect in learning, are positively influencing factors. Conclusions - as startup education satisfaction of a restaurant founder is increasing, there is a higher level of transfer effect in learning. Moreover, as transfer effect of startup business is getting higher, it has an impact on entrepreneurial intention.
The objective of this research is to explore the attitude on the transfer of duty post and job satisfaction of nurses. The subjects of this study were 512 nurses who have engages in the K-university hospital. The measurement tool consisted of attitude on the transfer of duty post, job satisfaction. The collected data have been processed using SPSS/PC 12.0 program: The results of this study were as follows: 1. The age the subjects was from 21 to 56 and average 32, blow 3 years experience in current duty post occupied most by 37.1%. The experience of the transfer of duty post showed 50.2%. 51.4% of the nurses wanted $3{\sim}5$ years as the suitable periods for the transfer of duty post showing the highest degree of frequency. 2. The positive degree of the attitude on the transfer of duty post of the nurses appeared average (3.36) to maximum evaluation point 5, and when asked about 4 factors the nurses wanted individual development most by (3.72) while administration management was lowest by (2.65). The satisfaction degree on their job appeared to be average (3.06) to the maximum point 5, and when asked about 7 factors, interaction appeared to be the highest by (3.63), here we saw that interaction was the most important elevating factor of the job satisfaction degree. 3. In the relation of the attitude on the transfer of duty post according to general characteristics, there were the significant difference according to whether it is necessary for the current duty post and periodical duty post to be transferred. In the relation between general characteristics and job satisfaction degree there were the significant differences according to age, marital status, education, position of nurse, hospital clinical nursing experiences, satisfaction degree with current post and the hope of the transfer of duty post from current post. 4. The correlation between attitude on the transfer of duty post and job satisfaction degree was positive relation(r=0.137, p=.002), that the higher the degree of positive attitude on the transfer of duty post the higher the degree of job satisfaction.
Objective: To evaluate incidence of microbial growth from the tip of the embryo transfer catheter after embryo transfer in relation to clinical pregnancy rate following in-vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. Method: This study was performed prospectively at the time of transcervical embryo transfer following conventional in-vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection procedures. Sixty three patients were enrolled in this study. Microbiological cultures were performed on endocervical swabs and embryo transfer catheter tips. Results: Positive microbial growths were observed from endocervical swabs in 45 (71.4%) women and from catheter tips in 30 (47.6%) women. There was no statistically significant difference seen in the mean number of oocytes fertilized or number and grade of embryos transferred between the group of patients without growth and the group of patients with positive microbial growth from catheter tips. The clinical pregnancy rate were 30.3% in the group of patients without growth and 13.3% in the group with positive microbial growth from catheter tips. This difference in clinical pregnancy rates was statistically significant. Conclusion: Our finding is that microbial contamination at embryo transfer may influence implantation rates. The major questions arising from our finding are whether eradication of endocervical micro-organisms is possible and whether their eradication will improve implantation rates.
