  • In this paper, a dual-converter three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier based on unbalanced one-cycle control (OCC) strategy is proposed. The proposed rectifier is used to eliminate the second harmonic waves of DC voltage and distortion of line currents under unbalanced input grid voltage conditions. The dual-converter PWM rectifier employs two converters, which are called positive-sequence converter and negative-sequence converter. The unbalanced OCC system compensates feedback currents of positive-sequence converter via grid negative-sequence voltages, as well as compensates feedback currents of negative-sequence converter via grid positive-sequence voltages. The AC currents of positive- and negative-sequence converter are controlled to be symmetrical. Thus, the workload of every switching device of converter is balanced. Only one conventional PI controller is adopted to achieve invariant power control. Then, the parameter tuning is simplified, and the extraction for positive- and negative-sequence currents is not needed anymore. The effectiveness and the viability of the control strategy are demonstrated through detailed experimental verification.

  • This study analyzed the internal-external controls, psychological well-being and depression of mothers as factors that affect mothers's parenting style of young children. The participants were 228 mothers of preschoolers. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's productive correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results showed that positive mothers parenting style had positive relationships with internal control and psychological well-being. On the other hand, positive mother's parenting style had negative relationships with external control and depression. In addition, negative mother's parenting style had positive relationships with external control and depression. On the other hand, negative mother's parenting style had no relationship with psychological well-being and internal control. Psycholobrical well-being had the strongest effect on positive mother's parenting style and external control had the strongest effect on negative mother's parenting.

  • This paper presents a new control scheme for a DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) system consisting of series voltage source PWM converters. To control the negative sequence components of the source, it is necessary to detect the negative sequence components. Generally, a filtering process is used which has some undesirable effects. This paper suggests a new method for separating positive and negative sequences components. This control system is designed using differential controllers and digital filters. The positive and negative sequences are extracted and controlled individually. The performance of the presented controller and scheme are confirmed through simulation and actual experiment with a 2.5kVA prototype DVR system.

  • The anomaly-detection algorithm based on negative selection of T cells is representative model among self-recognition methods and it has been applied to computer immune systems in recent years. In immune systems, T cells are produced through both positive and negative selection. Positive selection is the process used to determine a MHC receptor that recognizes self-molecules. Negative selection is the process used to determine an antigen receptor that recognizes antigen, or the nonself cell. In this paper, we propose a novel self-recognition algorithm based on the positive selection of T cells. We indicate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm by change-detection simulation of some infected data obtained from cell changes and string changes in the self-file. We also compare the self-recognition algorithm based on positive selection with the anomaly-detection algorithm.

  • The study wanted to verify the effect of emotional sub-compression, a negative variable of emotional labor, on job performance, on security personnel working at private security companies, and further to verify how the impact on emotional sub-compression can affect job performance through the first draft of regulation. Empirical analysis through the study model showed that emotional edema was not a significant effect, but a negative effect on job performance, and that it did not affect the control focus itself. This revealed that emotional harmony has been shown to have a negative impact on performance due to the present state and conflicting situations in one's emotions, which means that emotional harmony does not affect negative or positive effects depending on a person's attributes. It also showed that the temperamental control focus on job performance had a positive impact on employees with an improvement focus and had a negative impact on employees with a preventive focus, and that a temperamental control focus between emotional dissonance and job performance had an effect. This indicated that job performance was affected by a temperamental control focus and that employees with an improvement focus had a positive effect and had a positive effect on performance. The implications of the study in this study are that it can have target differentiation in the areas where the study was conducted on guard workers, a social issue related to the study of emotional labor, and it can be meaningful that the study of emotional labor had a control focus and measured both positive and negative tendencies. It is also believed that there will be contributions to the verification of differences in performance resulting from employee propensity and by linking it with a variable called emotional instability. However, the data collected have the limitations of the subject and region, and the emphasis on cross-sectional analysis and the representative of the various emotions to verify the negative effects of emotional labor, and the problem of securing reliability related to the adjustment focus verification are the limitations of the research.

  • The aims of this study were to investigate the relationships among mothers' emotion expression, preschool children's temperament, and preschool children's emotion regulation. The participants in this study were 75 5-year-old children from five child-care centers located in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using simple regression and hierarchical multiple regression. The major findings were as follows. First, mothers' positive emotion expression had a positive influence on children's effortful control, and mothers' negative emotion expression had a positive influence on children's negative affect. Second, mothers' positive emotion expression had a positive influence on children's emotion regulation, while mothers' negative emotion expression had a negative influence on children's emotion regulation. Last, the effect of mothers' positive emotion expression on children's emotion regulation was fully mediated by children's effortful control. Also, the effect of mothers' negative emotion expression on children's emotion regulation was partially mediated by children's negative affect. These results suggest that mothers' emotion expression and children's temperament may predict children's emotion regulation.

  • Research with parents of children with Asperger Syndrome was conducted to assess whether the level of positive parental attachment correlated positively with positive parenting behaviors and negatively with negative parenting behaviors. Participants were recruited from internet. The Parental Bonding Inventory measured parents' perception of their bonding or attachment with three aspects of their own parents: warmth, control, and care. In the Parenting Behavior Inventory, parents reported recent interaction/reaction behaviors with their child, and results focused on two aspects of parenting, supportive/engaged and hostile/coercive behaviors: each identified as problematic to parenting and attributable to a variety of specific parenting behaviors. Analysis of demographic variables for correlations with positive parenting behaviors and negative parenting behaviors were carried out by Pearson correlations. Two separate standard multiple regressions, one for positive parenting behaviors and one for negative parenting behaviors, were conducted. Findings support the hypothesis that positive early attachment experience of parents has a significant impact upon their own positive parenting skills with their child with Asperger Syndrome. However, multiple regression of negative parenting behavior found no significant negative contribution by parental attachment. Demographic variables proved to be important.
