Granule-bound starch synthase I (GBSSI), encoded by the waxy gene, is responsible for the accumulation of amylose during the development of starch granules in rice endosperm. Despite many findings on waxy alleles, the genetic diversity and evolutionary studies are still not fully explored regarding their functional effects. Comprehensive evolutionary analyses were performed to investigate the genetic variations and relatedness of the GBSSI gene in 374 rice accessions composed of 54 wild accessions and 320 bred cultivars (temperate japonica, tropical japonica, indica, aus, aromatic, and admixture). GBSS1 coding regions were analyzed from a VCF file retrieved from whole-genome resequencing data, and eight haplotypes were identified in the GBSSI coding region of 320 bred cultivars. The genetic diversity indices revealed the most negative Tajima's D value in the tropical-japonica, followed by the aus and temperate-japonica, while Tajima's D values in indica were positive, indicating balancing selection. Diversity reduction was noticed in temperate japonica (0.0003) compared to the highest one (wild, 0.0044), illustrating their higher genetic differentiation by FST-value (0.604). The most positive Tajima's D value was observed in indica (0.5224), indicating the GBSSI gene domestication signature under balancing selection. In contrast, the lowest and negative Tajima's D value was found in tropical japonica (-0.5291), which might have experienced a positive selection and purified due to the excess of rare alleles. Overall, our study offers insights into haplotype diversity and evolutionary fingerprints of GBSSI. It ako provides genomic information to increase the starch content of cooked rice.

In order to developing high-quality rice varieties and processing varieties, systematic and stable evaluation of physicochemical properties is required for breeding lines. In this study, we compared the quality characteristics evaluation results of rice breeding lines for cooked rice, special rice, and whole crop silage rice adapted to central plain region (Suwon) in order to use as basic data for future rice variety development. Brown rice length/width ratio, head rice ratio, protein content, amylose content, alkali digestion value(ADV) and Toyo value were analyzed to evaluate the quality characteristics of yield trial lines cultivated in Suwon for four years (2017-2020). Brown rice length/width ratio, head rice ratio, protein content, ADV and Toyo values showed significant differences by year, but there was no significant difference in amylose content (p<0.05), which showed little environmental variation. The head rice ratio and Toyo value showed an increasing trend, while the protein content showed a decreasing trend. However, the protein content was the highest in 2020, which is thought to be owing to little sunlight hours due to heavy rainfall in 2020. The protein content of whole crop silage rice was 8.1%, which was significantly higher than that of other lines (p<0.05). Toyo value of medium-maturing and early-maturing lines were 67.6 and 73.7%, respectively, and the Toyo value of medium-maturing lines was higher than that of the early-maturing lines (p<0.05). In correlation analysis among the quality characteristics of the rice lines for cooked rice, significant positive correlations were detected between Toyo value and head rice ratio, amylose content, ADV, and a negative correlation was observed between Toyo value and protein content (p<0.05).

In this study, a field study was conducted to investigate the relationship between high-resolution remote images and the volumetric moisture, and the number of compaction. Changes in the shape of the surface and soil moisture content were observed and correlated with the number of compactions using roller equipment. As the compaction is repeated, the surface is flattened and the terrain curvature decreases and converges to zero. In particular, the tangential curvature changes as the number of compactions increase. Due to soil compaction, the vegetation index changed from a positive to a negative value, and most of the test site area was homogenized with a negative index. This suggests a decrease in porosity and an increase in volumetric water content associated with increasing soil compaction. Soil moisture, measured using a frequency domain reflectometry(FDR) sensor, tends to increase proportionately with the number of vibration compactions, but the correlation between the number of compactions and soil moisture is unclear. This study suggests that while it is necessary to consider the reproducibility of the experiments performed, the compaction quality of the soil can be evaluated using high-resolution terrain factors and soil moisture.

This study aimed to analyze the subjects, situations, and reflection levels related to role modeling experienced by medical students during their clinical clerkship and their own reflections. This study intends to suggest ways of improving how residents and clinical faculty should treat and teach medical students. Written interviews were conducted regarding senior medical students' role modeling experiences during their clinical clerkships in 2018 and 2019. Content analysis was conducted for a total of 224 cases from 196 students. Content analysis revealed three types of role modeling content: subjects (faculty, residents, nurses, peer students), situations (clinical competence, personal qualities, teaching skills), and the level of reflection (critical reflection, reflection, thoughtful action, and habitual action) in each case. As role model subjects, faculty were found to be the paramount role model (n=142, 62.83%). Role modeling was the most frequently performed for clinical competence (n=103, 45.98%). Clinical competence was frequently shown in communication and empathic listening during rounds and outpatient relationships between the patient and doctor. Regarding the level of reflection for role modeling, the number of critical reflections was 86 (38.39%) and that of reflections was 80 (35.71%). In particular, negative role modeling showed a high level of critical reflection in relation to faculty (64.44%) and nurses (8.89%). In conclusion, role modeling of medical students participating in clinical clerkships occurs in situations that the role models are not aware of, with positive or negative effects on the formation of professional identity among medical students.
Purpose: This Study aims to explore the Wormwood smoke(Ssukjahun) experiences of women and to provide the data to develop Korean traditional nursing intervention for women. Methods: A sample of 15 women aged between 20 to 60 years with Ssukjahun experiences was interviewed and content analysis was used to analyze the data. Results: Six categories and Thirty attributes were derived for Ssukjahun experiences in women. The reason of Ssukjahun is related to illness included vaginitis, insomnia, mental depression, circulation down of hand and feet, repeat abortion, dysmenorrhea, hemorrhoids, disc, rheumatism, and asthma. The place of Ssukjahun was home, oriental hospital and Ssukjahun room. Also method of Ssukjahun included steam methods and burn the wormwood. The time-consuming of Ssukjahun was about 30 minutes. The response and effect in Ssukjahunincluded relax, decreasing rhinitis, weight reduction, feel better, increasing circulation, sleep well, reducing constipation, insomnia, hemorrhoid, back pain, asthma, and dysmenorrhea. The negative effect of Ssukjahun included vesicle, headache, itching sense, generalache, acne, and edema. However, women who did Ssukjahun believed that is the belligerent reaction because it is gone after several times. The preference of Ssukjahun than hospital treatment is related to side effect of medication, temporary method for reducing symptom. Recommends: It is recommended for nurses to understand experience of Ssukjahun in women. If Ssukjahun is to be own nursing intervention, it has to find solutions to encourage positive experiences and overcome negative experiences. Also it recommended research for experience of men.
Red peppers(Capsicum annuum L.), 'Geumtap' and 'Bugang', were cultivated at main producing areas in Korea, and harvested 4 times in 1998 and 1999. The relationships between internal qualities such as reducing sugar, capsaicinoids, and vitamin C contents, and regional climatic elements such as total accumulated air temperature, total amount of precipitation and sunshine duration during the fruit growing periods were compared. The amount of reducing sugar increased as the harvest time was late. Capsaicinoids content varied by harvest dates and cultivated years. Vitamin C content was influenced by cultivated year more than cultivars. Reducing sugar content showed a negative relationship with total amount of precipitation but showed a positive relationship with sunshine duration. There were negative relationship between the contents of capsaicinoids and vitamin C and total amount of precipitation.
Proximate composition, cholesterol (CHOL) and $\alpha-tocopherol$ ($\alpha-Toc$) content of seventy-two species of fish muscle (sea water fish, 59 species; fresh water fish, 13 species), which caught off Tongyeong coast of the Southern Sea ( Nam-Hae) and caught Kyeongho river, Sancheong, Korea, were determined. Lipid content was ranked from $0.53\%$ to $20.4\%$ and was high in the following order; mid-surface dwelling and migratory fish ($6.09{\pm}4.25\%$) > fresh water fish ($4.40{\pm}5.90\%$) > coastal and reep dwelling fish ($3.41{\pm}2.68\%$) > demersal fish ($2.12{\pm}2.41\%$). There was a negative correlation between the lipid and moisture content in all fish groups (p< 0.001). Protein was approximately $17\~18\%$ in all fish group, and no correlation was between the protein and moisture content in all but the demersal fish, which there was a negative correlation between both contents. Ash content was almost constant in all fish, accounting for $1\~2\%$, Cholesterol (CHOL) content was shown a great difference according to the fish species from 6.7 mg/100 g muscle (grass fish) to 249 mg/100 g (eel) and there was a positive correlation between the lipid and CHOL content. $\alpha-Toc$ content was less than 3 mg/100 g muscle in all fish, except that of eel (4.1 mg/100 g) and was relatively rich in the fish species contained a large amount of lipid.
This study was conducted to investigate the influence of the topping time and height on the nonvolatile organic and higher fatty acid contents and the correlation among acid contents of tobacco plants. Within the topping time, the flowering (normal) stage of topping was the lowest in total analyzed acid (TAA), total nonvolatile organic acid (TNOA) and magic acid contents of NC2326, however, the highest in those of Burley 21 on 30 days after budding. Total higher fatty acid (THFA) and linoleic acid contents tended to be low with normal stage of topping. The lower the topping height, the lower the TAA, THFA and linoleic acid contents in middle and upper leaves (or NC2326 and Burley 21 were observed. On the other hand, the lower the topping height, the lower the TNOA and malic acid contents in middle and upper leaves for Burley 21 and upper leaves for NC2326 were found. There was a significant positive correlation between magic acid and TNOA contents. Similarly, TAA content showed a significant positive correlation with TNOA, oxalic acid and citric acid contents. But there was a negative correlation between malic acid and THFA contents. There were highly positive correlations among oleic acid, linoleic acid and THFA contents, respectively.
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is exploring whether the characteristics and heterogeneity of the TMT play a moderating role in CSR and corporate value or not. Design/methodology/approach - The literature research method includes collecting, organizing, and analyzing the literature on the characteristics and heterogeneity of the TMT, the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR), and corporate value. We analyze the contributions and limitations in existing research, grasp the current research status, and develop the research content of this article. The empirical analysis method is based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2001 to 2017. This allows us to study the moderating effect of the characteristics and heterogeneity of the TMT on CSR and corporate value. Findings - The TMT age, education degree, overseas background, and compensation have a positive moderating effect on CSR and corporate market value. The comprehensive heterogeneity of the TMT also has a positive effect on CSR and financial performance. Research implications or Originality - The research on the relationship between CSR and corporate value is still inconclusive. Some results have found a positive relationship, while others show a negative relationship. Studies exist that report mixed findings as well. This study has attempted to clarify this problem by adding potentially missing variables related on the TMT characteristics and heterogeneity, investigating causality effects.
Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate undergraduate student's attitudes toward person with disabilities. Design: Questionnaire-based study Methods: This study conducted a survey of 350 undergraduate students attending two universities in cities B and C from March to April 2024. Out of a total of 350 questionnaires, 334 questionnaires were analyzed after excluding 16 questionnaires due to incomplete content. The questionnaire was revised and enhanced by the researchers and was supplemented through revision and verification by another occupational therapist as professor. Results: As a result of the study, significant differences in undergraduate students' positive attitudes toward the disabled were found to be gender and taking disability-related curriculum, while significant differences in negative attitudes were found to be gender, presence of a disabled person in the family, and religion. Gender, taking disability-related curriculum, and religion showed significant differences in neutral attitude, and in all areas, gender, taking disability-related subjects, having a family member with a disability, and religion showed significant differences. Conclusions: Factors that influence undergraduate students' attitudes toward person with disabilities include gender, whether or not they take disability-related curriculum, whether a family member is disabled, and religion. As our society's policies and perceptions of person with disabilities are rapidly changing, in order to improve our society's attitude and awareness of disabilities, we need to provide students with a correct understanding of disabilities and develop positive attitudes through positive experiences about disabilities. Educational programs should be provided.
