  • As mentioned above, various safety measures are considered and discussed as hijacking of Korean vessels by pirates is increasing. Thus, the standard for ship's facilities has been partially revised and setting up an evacuation shelter on all vessels sailing dangerous zone has been reinforced. This research aims to discuss crew Citadel set up that has to sail long haul. In addition, measures against potential gas flow have to be taken due to recent pirate armed and portable rocket attacks. There is also a possibility of fire outbreak within the vessel due to its nature. Thus, this research assesses the relevant number of crew Citadel theoretically. It will also make a model by estimating the relevant number of shelters in the event of fire outbreak and implement simulation using FDS.

  • The difference between definition time of GPS (Global Positioning System) position data and actual display time of car positions on a map could reduce the accuracy of car positions displayed in PND (Portable Navigation Device)-type CNS (Car Navigation System). Due to the time difference, the position of the car displayed on the map is not its current position, so an improved method to fix these problems is required. It is expected that a method that uses predicted future positionsto compensate for the delay caused by processing and display of the received GPS signals could mitigate these problems. Therefore, in this study an analysis was conducted to correct late processing problems of map positions by mapmatching using a Kalman filter with only GPS position data and a RRF (Road Reduction Filter) technique in a light-weight CNS. The effects on routing services are examined by analyzing differences that are decomposed into along and across the road elements relative to the direction of advancing car. The results indicate that it is possible to improve the positional accuracy in the along-the-road direction of a light-weight CNS device that uses only GPS position data, by applying a Kalman filter and RRF.

  • In this paper, we developed a reverse parking guidance system with the path prediction methods which help the safe operation of driver when reversing, with rear camera display, and the expected path on navigation and handheld devices. This system can be applied to various types of vehicles, a variety of characteristics and installation of rear-view camera and navigation support systems, or portable devices are compatible and easily detachable, can be configured easily.

  • Recently iPad has been released, so users interest in new portable device is increasing. As markets grow, experts are forecasting a increase of investigation about tablet PC. However iPad forensics is very difficult using existing smart phone forensic softwares. especially, those softwares can't analyze korean mobile application.   • At the stage of content convergence into cell phone, technologies for geo-spatial information sharing and searching are being developed. Currently, 2D portable navigation map for mobile navigation is provided by communication companies, but geobrowers for 3D geo-information in cell phone are under developing. In this study, 3D feature transformation among X3D-M3G-KML, on mobile and web environments, is dealt with as the first stage for the further mobile 3D web application. As well, it is possible to real-time interoperable 3D geo-information exchange issues within both environments.

  • Recently LCD panels have becom very important components for portable electronics. In the high density interconnection material, ACF's are used to connect the outer lead of the tape automated bonding to the transparent indium tin oxide electrodes of the LCD panel. ACF consists of an adhesive polymer matrix and randomly dispersed conductive balls. In this study, we analyzed Failure Mode / Mechanism of ACF which is identified Conductive ball Corrsion, Delamination, Crack and Polymer Expansion / Swelling. In ALT(Accelerated Life Test), we select primary stress factors as temperature and humidity. As time passes by, an increase of connection resistance was observed. In conclusion, we have found that high temperature / humidity affects the adhesion.

  • A pedestrian navigation system, an information delivery server, and a program for naturally guiding (such as speech-guiding) the user of a portable terminal at an intersection. An information delivery server comprises a map database containing data such as nodes including paths constituting intersections, links, and costs of the links. The node-link structure is the most important part in pedestrian navigation system. Functional requirements for the road map database vary in different navigation phases. though there are various road network models, their traditional node-link structures, unfortunately, do not solve the problem well. This paper proposes a node-link structure for pedestrian navigation system. The network topological structure in pedestrianl network is presented, which accords with the practical walking habit better than traditional way treating the entire road network.

  • Aids to Navigation have been operated and placed along coasts and navigable waters as guides to mark safe water and to assist mariners in determining their position in relation to land and hidden dangers, controled on the basis of the maine traffic survey. The traditional survey have been conducted by some methods like an ocular observation using portable radar, a on-the-spot survey, a questionnaire. But these methods must have a lot of manpower and expenses. In this paper, we have developed the module which have some real time processing functions like making a database of radar image using PC camera, saving of the vessel's track, analysis if the maine traffic tendency and the distribution of density.
