인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Seafarers' Leisure Activities Using the Internet on Shipboard Culture)

  • 선원 직업에 대한 매력도와 선원 복지를 향상시키기 위한 방안 중 하나로 선내 인터넷 서비스 제공이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 승선 중 인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향에 관해 연구하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Hofstede 문화차원론을 기반으로 선박 내 문화를 조사하고, 선원의 인터넷 여가 활동과 선박 내 문화에 관하여 선원을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과승선 중 인터넷을 통한 사회적 교류 활동이 권력거리, 불확실성 회피, 장기지향성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 선박 내 문화를 조사한 결과 불확실성 회피 문화, 남성성 문화, 장기지향성 추구 문화, 낮은 권력거리 문화, 그리고 개인주의 문화가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 선원의 특성에 따른 선박 내 문화를 분석한 결과 선원의 특성에 따라 일부 선박 내 문화에도 유의한 차이가 발견되었다.

ESG 경영이 해운물류기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 조직문화의 매개효과 (The impact of ESG management on the Corporate Performance of Shipping and Logistics Companies: The mediating effect of Organizational Culture)

  • 본 연구는 국내 해운물류기업을 대상으로 ESG 경영이 조직문화 유형에 따라 경영성과에 대한 영향을 조사하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 실질적인 연구 결과 도출을 위하여 ESG 경영을 시행하고 있는 매출 5000억 이상의 선사(정기선사·부정기 선사) 및 종합 물류기업을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 시행하였다. 총 183부를 회수하여, Smart PLS 4.0 소프트웨어를 활용하여 PLS 구조방정식 분석을 실행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째. 거버넌스 경영활동은 경영성과에, 사회적 경영활동은 혁신문화에, 거버넌스 경영활동은 혁신문화에, 환경적 경영활동은 위계문화 그리고 거버넌스 경영활동은 위계문화에 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 기여는 첫째, 본 연구는 국내 해운물류기업의 ESG 경영활동이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석한 연구이다. 이를 통하여 ESG 경영이 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 통찰을 얻을 수 있었다. 둘째, 본 연구는 설문조사를 통해 데이터를 수집하였다. 이 자료를 분석하여 기업의 ESG 관련 활동 수준, 경영성과 등을 확인하고 이를 기반으로 ESG 경영활동과 경영성과 사이의 상관관계를 분석하는 데 활용하였다. 셋째, 연구 결과를 통해 기업들은 ESG 경영을 통해 경영성과를 향상시키는 데 도움을 얻을 수 있음을 인식할 수 있다. 이를 통해 기업들이 지속가능한 경영 전략을 구축하고 ESG 요인을 고려하는 경영 방향을 더욱 강화할 수 있다.

어촌·어항을 활용한 해양스포츠 체험관광 활성화 방안 (The Promotion of Experiential Marine Sports by Developing aPlan for Fishing Village and Port)

  • The plan of developing a fishing village and port will be indirectly funded by the government. In the short term, there will be five different multi-functional fishing village models which are based on the first industry to attach to the third industry of marine sports experience tourism. In the long run, they have to be reached gradually. The popular scenic spot of the marine sports experience tourism is made by human resources and fundamental installations considering that it must be done in unpolluted water. It is necessary to separate the fish harbor into two sides. One side is an existing fishing industry. The other side is made up of several pontoons for the marine sports equipment of the marine mooring. It is necessary to build facilities, such as the mooring facility, the storage facility, the repair-check facility, supply-cleaning facility, information booth, accommodations, education facility, and a marine culture exchange facility.

한국 전통 포대기의 유형과 변천 (Types and Transition of Korean Traditional Baby-Carrier)

  • A Podaegi is a square cloth used to carry a baby. Podaegi was an essential necessity for raising baby. However currently Koreans prefer baby-carriers, baby hip-seats, and equipments other than Podaegi. Recently, Podaegi is becoming popular around the world. Therefore, it is necessary to study Podaegi to inform Korea's traditional parenting culture product. In this research, 230 images of Podaegi were collected from paintings, photographs, postcards, films and artifacts from the late 18th century to 2000. The period of study was divided into three phases from the late Joseon Dynasty to before the opening of the port, from the opening of the port to before the liberation, and from the liberation to 2000. Types of Podaegi were categorized according to its shape and how to use. Transition process of Podaegi was examined. Podaegis were categorized into band type, blanket type, combination type, cheone type, modern type, and so on. From the late Joseon Dynasty to before the pre-openings, band type was used. From the opening of the port to liberation, all types of Podaegi appeared. Since the liberation, the use of band and blanket type has gradually decreased. Modern types have been the most popular since the 1960s. Materials of Podaegi became varied and Podaegi became a fashion-item. Later, modern Podaegi became the representative form of Korean traditional Podaegi.

  • Pilots and navigators have through history used everything available to support them in the execution of their task. From the simple sounding means (for instance a stick or a line with a heavy object tied to it) to the advanced electronic support systems that are available today. This means that apart from the more traditional side of his set of tasks the influence of modern technology is felt. In general it concerns such diverse and complex subjects that it requires the pilot to remain up to date with regard to the most modern techniques. In a sense this also concurs with the change form a provider of (local) knowledge to that of a manager of a high risk operation. More information flows can reach the pilot on the place where he executes his profession. With marginal scope the pilot has to translate such information to the situation in which he finds himself in order to give a balanced advice. Knowledge of the surroundings, variable circumstances in his specific area but also language and culture play a crucial role. This paper touches on the history of pilot support systems and examines the developments of pilot support systems in the present day operating environment and addresses the implications. These range from the historic basic needs for pilot information to the present and future possibilities, supporting the pilot to make the most precise assessment at each operational stage to continually execute a safe journey in and out of port.

Maintaining High Standard Flag State Administrations for Combating Vessel-Source Marine Pollution

  • The impediment in enhancing the ship safety and combating vessel-source marine pollution depends on the combination of the immediate and mediate factors. The former is mainly caused by human errors and failure in compliance with the international convention standards in operation of compliance with the international convention standards in operation of vessel. The latter by the attitudes and activities of some of the flay states taking little responsibilities with appropriate seriousness in policing their fleets due to the lack of implementing capability of adminstrations. So long as there exists a large size of variation in implementing capability of administration between flag states a globally remarked progress cannot expect to be made in assuring the ship safety and preventing the vessel-source pollution Therefore a new regulatory regime is suggested to be adopted by IMO to maintain high standard flag state adminstrations by recommending standard paradigm to member states so that the development of a implementing culture is encouraged and supported.

A Plan for Reducing SAR Call-outs for Fishing Vessels in Korean Waters

  • Korea has a systemic problem with lack of engine maintenance, especially among the Commercial Fishing Vessel fleet. This results in a inordinate percent of SAR call-outs for vessels with engine failure. These SAR call-outs lead to a free tow to shore by KCG or by one of its volunteer associates. Although these tows are not a terrible economic burden on KCG, it is a burden in terms of time and resources mis-allocated. This paper proposes a Commercial Fishing Vessel Examination (CFVE) program modeled after the program run by USCG. It is expected that adopting the CFVE program, KCG may be able to create a culture of safety among fishermen; thus, replicating the USCG's success rates.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study a relationship between alliance success factors and performances of strategic alliance. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, factor analysis, reliability and validity and regression method are used. In conclusion, alliance success factors can be divided as mutual complementarity and information sharing factor, sharing and mutual agreement of vision and goal factor, performance management factor and culture and organization factor. According to regression results, all of four factors affects significantly dependent variables. Among them, mutual complementarity and information sharing mostly affects each dependent variable.

해양산업 클러스터와 항만도시재생의 상관성에 관한 연구 - 부산 북항을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Correlation between Marine Industry Cluster and Port Regeneration - Focused on the Busan North Port -)

  • 한국은 아시아의 대표적인 선진국로서 대외무역항로와 해양경제가 내륙국가에 비하여 절대적인 우위를 가진다. 사회 변화에 따라 원래의 항만지역은 다양한 원인으로, 일부 병폐가 점차 사람들의 사야를 드러내 보이고 있다. 이로 인해 직접적인 영향과 손상을 받는 것은 항만지역 해양산업 클러스터의 경제이율과 미래 발전 공간이다. 본 연구는 해양산업 클러스터와 항만도시재생 사이의 관계에 대해 연구하였다. 정량분석 각도에서 재생디자인을 분석해 나가며 항만도시재생을 통하여 해양산업 클러스터를 활성화 시킬 수 있는 필요성 및 중요성을 제시하고자 한다. 우선 이론적 배경을 고찰하여, 세계적으로 잘 된 항만도시 사례 분석을 통해 연구대상지 부산 북항의 현황을 맞춰서 분석하였다. 그리고 본 연구의 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 다시 해양산업 클러스터와 항만도시재생의 데이터로 실증분석을 하였다. 본 연구 사례조사와 실증분석의 결과를 보면 해양산업 클러스터와 항만도시재생 간 실제로 향상시키고 상호작용한 관계이다. 연구를 통해 부산 북항재개발사업을 디자인적, 환경적, 경제적 차원에서 추진하고 지역 발전의 우세를 찾을 동시에 부산지역 해양도시로서의 위상을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 연구 결과에 따르면 어느 나라나 항만도시든지 경제, 사회, 문화 등의 발전은 해양산업 클러스터의 활성화를 촉진할 수밖에 없으며, 마찬가지로 항만지역이 어느 정도 발전하면 자연히 물리적 여건상 낙후되어 지역발전에 장애가 생기게 되는데, 항구도시의 재생을 통해 이 문제를 간단명료하게 해결할 수 있다.

17세기 네덜란드 델프트 학파 회화에 나타난 동양풍 연구 (A Study on Orientalism in the Paintings of Delft School in 17th Century Netherlands)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to elucidate the exchange between the East and the West during the 17th century through analyzing the oriental influences described in paintings in Delft school, a trade port of East India Company. The scope of this study focused on the 37 pieces of works by Johannes Vermeer and 31 pieces of the paintings by Pieter de Hooch, which are all the existing work, as analysis targets. The resources of this study were from previous papers about the history of costumes, paintings and culture, Internet sources and other qualitatively analyzed articles. The items that the study looked into were Delft porcelains and Delft tiles, Turkey carpets, costumes and accessories pearl earrings and headdresses. The study looked into oriental factors observed in each of these items, and analyzed them. In terms of oriental factors that are frequently observed in paintings, porcelains (100%), Deft tiles (100%), pearl earrings (100%) and (most) carpets (92.3%) turned out to have oriental nature, but this was not the case with head dresses (7.7%) and clothing (0.3%). These results happen to coincide with the previous investigation in that the oriental factor was reflected in the culture first, while the effects on costumes significantly lagged behind. This progress in cultural exchange can be seen through the noted use of Chinoiserie, a technique that is representative of the Chinese culture, in the 18th century. Through Japonism, the influence of Japanese culture into Europe was introduced, in detail, in 19th century. These results suggest that there are sufficient amount of sources that could be used to study the effect of orientalism to the Western culture. This study intends to look at how the oriental culture affected those of Europe by researching the Delft school of Netherlands during the 17th century.
