Jeju City has been developed and changed variously by influence of industrialization and urbanization since Jeju City was erected into a city on September 1st of 1955. The purpose of the study is to offer information and data for establishing housing policy and urban planning for being considered the change of housing in Jeju City for the past fifty years. The method of the study is an analysis of documentary records and data and an inquiry of literature. The results are following: 1) The population of Jeju City has increased six times ever before. 2) The ratio of housing supply is 95.3% and the ratio of renting houses has increased than before in terms of the type of occupation of housing. 3) The ratio of collective house is higher than detached dwelling's in term of the type of housing units.

As elderly population has been increasing, our society has to be prepared the social system. Especially female elderly increasing means that market will change and business model should also change. Every women want to be beautiful and looks young and as women get aged, women eager to be younger and beautiful more. The purposes of this study were to find out how was represented in cosmetic market ad and how elderly customers has been changed. In developed society, baby boomer has been increased, and their power of purchase also has been increased in cosmetic market. In our society, cosmetic market has been developing as customer's demand and whitening focused cosmetics has been increasing especially. Elderly skin need more moisture focused cosmetics and for developing the elderly cosmetic market in Korea, we need more research about korean elderly women's social psychological character and customer's character.

The objective of this study is to apply the modular furniture system, which has been developed actively in western Europe and America since 1970's, to Korean contemporary furniture having converted into western style gradually. The factors requiring the modular furniture system in today's residential environment are as follows; 1. Population increase and urbanization 2. Development of industrial technology 3. Improvement of living condition and change of life style. As these factors increase the problem of diminishing space, multiple functional modular furniture concept has become a solution. Reviewing the current scene of the western modular furniture system, it is classified into modular seating system, mopular wall system, modular commode system and modular storage system. Korean wardrobe, which is am mixed style of traditional and contemporary furniture, should change to a closet eventually because of the grand size and unpractical use of space. Since most Korean family, however, have wardrobes already, it will be necessary to have a turning period to systemized the closet space in Korean residential interior. For the turning period, application of the modular wall system would be one answer to substitute the wardrobe.

Alnine pellets were installed in a nuclear power plant for one or two operation cycles and measured by electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrometers for dosimetry. Dose and "x/y ratio", i.e., satellite peak over main center peak ratio, were measured for the returned alanine dosimeters from the nuclear power plant and compared to the values of reference alanine dosimeters exposed only to gamma rays. The variation of the x/y ratio change depended on the population of radicals from each radiation component with different LET. The gamma dose in a mixed radiation field was estimated by an additive gamma ray irradiation experiment and the measured dose rate at specified locations in the containment building.

Shoreline have been changed from time immemorial continuously, three-quarters of the population of the world live by the sea. It is not too much to say that all of us who live in Han penisular live by coastal zone because we can reach in the beach within only for hours. In this way effectual use and menagement of coastal zone is very importent problems in side of protection of marine resources as well as land use. But it has problems which change of shoreline have to be surveyed and to be predictived. This study the pattern and characteristics of the East sea coast including investigations of the shoreline changes of the East sea. This report gives a description of the method for implementing the seawall boundary condition in the shoreline change numerical model. Such analytical solutions can provide a simple and economical means to make a quick qualitative evaluation of shoreline response under a wide range of environmental and engineering conditions.

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate effects of skewness and kurtosis on the one-sample test. We have found that type I error brought about a little bit change which is ignorable in relation to kurtosis. Also the change of type I error was completely based on skewness under the same size of the sample. We conclude that using t-test is more similar to robust than using z-test. In introductory statistics classes where data analysis includes techniques for detecting skewness, we recommend the t-test when skewness is smaller than the value 1 to the one-sample test for a mean when the variances is unknown using the probability of a type I error as the criterion of interest.

Objectives: This study was performed to suggest the roles and professional competencies of health education specialists to improve the efficacy of health promotion activities in public health organizations. Results and Conclusion: Based on the advanced cases of utilizing health education specialists in international and domestic public health organizations, five key roles of health education specialists were proposed. They included developing and applying behavior change strategies necessary to begin and maintain health behavior practices, analysing the needs of the priority population in a systematic way, organizing multiple health behavior change programs and multilevel intervention programs, and doing research on health determinants and scientific evidence of health promotion programs, In order to improve the quality of health promotion services in public health organizations, professional competencies of health education specialist should be developed and strengthened.

A frequently recurring question posed by researchers concerns a test of a constant failure rate against the alternative of a failure rate involving a single chang-point. Park (1988) has presented a new test procedure for testing constant failure rate against a bathtub shaped (upside-down bathtub shaped) failure rate. assuming that the proportion of population that fails at or before the change point of failure rate is known. Jeong (1992) has extended Park's test to randomly censored data under the same assumption. In this paper, we have investigated efficiency loss to the presence of censoring.

The lecturer pointed the agriculture in change brought about population bomb and economic development, and he appealed the scientists of soil and fertilizer to make proposals for establishing their constructive attitudes toward the situations of agriculture. The points emphasised by the lecturer for the improvement of future food situation were: fox example the elucidation of the ancient agricultural technology of Korea which is a important attempt for development of agricultural technology of Korea and Japan, and soil improvement with special attention to the efficiencies of phosphate, silicate, cations and trace elements. He showed some Japanese examples of natural pollution as both of a sufferer and an assailant of agriculture which are resulted from the high economic development, and some methods of solution, for example active application of legumes capable for fixing atmospheric nitrogen to wasted soils. He also pointed the need of lower consumption of energy and resources, and new understanding of wild plant species for the future agriculture. Some methods of other fields of sciences were emphasised for developing the soil and fertilizer researches.
