터지털 시대의 병원경영전략 수립에 관한 연구 - 병원경영자의 경영개선활동에 관한 인식을 중심으로 - (Hospital Management Strategy in Digital Era)

  • This study purports to examine the current management and information technology related strategy of Korean hospitals and suggest the effective management strategy in the 21st century when is digital era. Specifically the study tries to analyze the changing trends of strategic orientation and investigate the general management and information technology strategy of Korean hospitals. Self-administered Questionnaires were distributed to 721 hospitals nationwide and finally 98 Questionnaires were analyzed for the study. The results of the study are as follows : 1) Half of the respondent hospitals reported that they have an analyzer orientation in 2000, whereas 19.4% were prospectors, reactors 16.4%, and defenders 14.3%. However, the respondent hospitals intended to have a prospector orientation in the future (2002), while 29.6% planned on being analyzers, 17.3% reactors, and 3.1% defenders. 2) Hospital services for improving patient satisfaction were the most common. strategy for the respondent hospitals, followed by cost containment, organizational restructuring, employee education, purchasing system change, specialization of clinical services, quality improvement of medical care, strengthening the networking with the stakeholders, public relations and marketing strategy, diversification, and installing the information system. However, the strategies of annual salary system, retrenchment of unprofitable services, merit payment based on performance were still not popular for the respondent hospitals. 3) As for the strategies related with information technology, most hospitals have not implemented actively, except for the establishment of home-pages, order communication systems, and insurance claims through electronic data interchange system. 4) There were significant differences in the level of strategy implementation in terms of the ownership, bed size, financial performance, and the top managers I knowledge of information technology. The larger bed size, the higher financial performance, the better knowledge of information technology the top managers have, the more strategies the respondent hospitals implemented. The managerial and political implications for Korean hospitals in digital era were also discussed.

  • 우표는 그 시대를 읽을 수 있는 가장 작은 이미지 상징물로 발행국의 역사와 문화, 정치 또는 기념이 될 만한 시대적 인물과 사건들이 함축되어 있다. 특히 역대 대통령 기념우표 속에는 한국의 현대사가 녹아 있으며 역사적으로 대통령 우표에 담긴 의미를 재조명하고 고찰하는 것은 정치 지도자의 이미지를 연구하는 연구자로서 간과할 수 없는 의미를 갖는다. 본 연구는 지면 광고와 우표를 통한 정치지도자 홍보 빈도가 높았던 제1공화국에서 제5공화국까지 연구 범위로 하였으며 한국의 역대 대통령 이승만, 박정희, 전두환 취임, 업적 기념우표를 중심으로 지도자 이미지 형성과 변화 과정을 연구하였다. 시대 변화에 따른 정치지도자 이미지 해석을 위해서 오스굿의 '의미변별척도법'을 사용하여 이미지를 분류하였으며, 소쉬르의 '기호학'을 이용하여 이미지를 분석하였다. 이미지는 계속 살아서 움직이고 변화하고 있으며 당대의 정치지도자 이미지가 단순한 개인적인 이미지 구축이 아닌 특정한 그 시대의 시대상을 반영한 사회적 산물이라는 결론을 도출하였다.

카자흐스탄 의회 엘리트 교체에 관한 연구: 제4대~제8대 하원을 중심으로 (A Study on the Elite Turnover of the Kazakhstan Parliament: Focusing on the 4th to 8th House of the Parliament)

  • 카자흐스탄 하원에서 어떤 의원은 여러 차례 재당선되는 반면에, 어떤 의원은 초선에 그치는가? 카자흐스탄 정치 엘리트에 관한 기존연구들은 주로 출신 씨족이 엘리트의 임명/교체에 미치는 영향을 논의해왔다. 이러한 연구는 카자흐스탄의 후견주의 정치 구조의 특징을 설명하는데 기여했으나, 출신 씨족 이외에 정치적 배경과 엘리트 임명/교체의 관계에 대한 분석은 매우 빈약한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 카자흐스탄 제4대~제8대 하원을 중심으로 어떤 특성을 가진 의원이 연속성을 가지는지를 분석하는데 있다. 분석결과, 제4대, 제6대, 제7대 하원에서 소비에트 공산당 활동 경력을 가진 의원이 그렇지 않은 의원보다 평균 선수가 더 높았다. 그리고 제4대와 제5대 하원에서 누르오탄 소속 의원이 그렇지 않은 의원보다 평균 선수가 더 높았다. 반면에, 지역 정치 경력 여부에 따른 평균 선수의 차이는 발견되지 않았고, 엘리트 유형별 평균 선수의 차이는 제6대 하원에서만 일부 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 권위주의 국가인 카자흐스탄에서 의회가 체제를 공고히 하는 수단으로 활용된다는 점에서, 대통령의 의회 지배 전략이 반영된 산물이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 최초로 카자흐스탄 하원에서 누가 정치적 생존을 지속하는지를 경험적으로 증명했다는데 있다.

이머징 마켓 진출 전략의 인과관계에 대한 탐색적 연구: 시스템 사고에 의한 접근 (Exploratory Study on Causality of Expansion Strategy into Emerging Market: Systems Thinking Approach)

  • This study suggests a set of Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) of Causality Mechanism which integrates the matter of characteristics of emerging market and its expansion strategies. In order to make CLD more objective, all causalities are articulated from recent 55 studies (2000~2012) of SSCI Top Journals. This approach is valuable in that it is a first try to draw all the causalities from rigorous literature review regarding emerging market strategy. The 5 CLDs will show and clarify the strategies of how to expand into emerging market for MNCs. In sum, political activity and institutional void is a critical factor related to characteristics of emerging market, and CSV and cultural distance should be considered as a leverage point. For all this study's contribution to clarify the causality of emerging market strategies with abundant literature review, the study has its limits in integrating and testing CLD.

국가이미지 전략은 산업유형에 따라 차별화되어야 하는가? (Should The Country Image Strategy Be Differentiated By Industry Types?)

  • Previous studies have shown that country image affects consumers' valuation of products. Based on a literature review this paper identifies five dimensions (economic, political, relational, people and cultural image) and purifies them with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The data was gathered by using a structured questionnaire from 252 Korean consumers. Among the five dimensions of country image, this paper derives the three factors of country image for four countries (The United States, Japan, Australia, and China) - economic, relational, and cultural image. Then it examines the impacts of the three dimensions of country image on consumers' purchase intention of two industry types : industrial products vs. agricultural products. The result shows there is no difference between both of the two types in the impacts of country image on purchase intention. This implies that for managing the country image it not necessary to develop a communication strategy which is differentiated by industry types.

  • The professionalization of unauthoritative medical service has been progressed over time, transforming based on the motive, strategy and the social environment of the medical society. Osteopathology and Chiropractic have been professionalized in totally different steps, even though their basic philosophy and the theory are very much the same. The historical suggestions of these osteolopathology and chiropractic in England and United States is that the economical conditions and the point of view that society has on the relationship between human and medicines affect decisively on the social transformation of the community. Observations through these examples will provide many informations as a source on political measures for a medical society to decide for its future direction.

지방자치단체의 전략적 관리 모형에 관한 연구: 장기발전계획을 중심으로 (A Model of Strategic Management for Local Government : With Special Reference to Long-Range Development Plan.)

  • Since the election of governors and mayors by vote, many local governments in Korea establish long-range plans for their regional development. The major purposes of the plans are to set up development path for their communities and to devise economic development strategies. But most of the plans established thus formulated by the same method utilized in centralized political regime. This method is considered no longer appropriate to devise the long-range development plans for local government especially in the era of globalization and localization, where local governments behave independently, where local governments behave independently competition. We suggest an alternative way to establish such plans, based on the method employed in business sector. The plans, formulated in this way, are called strategy oriented long-range development plans. The underlying logic for the plans is non-linear one. The plans are issue oriented and focus more on process than outcome. Given that these features are properly incorporated in the plans, we expect that the strategy oriented long-range development plans can be genuine guidelines for local economic development in the years to come.

The Strategy of Renewable Energy of Sri Lanka for Energy-based Economic Development: Case of Wind Power

  • This article examines the way of the functionality of policy instruments for the development of renewable energy through the case of the wind power. The general barrier of the renewable energy development is considered to be the economic barrier. However the principal issue is the political barrier without the broad cooperation between the host government and the firm. Maintaining the long-term competitive advantage requires the shift of not only the strategy following the external circumstance but also the internal capacity development to utilize resources. Thus the comparative case study of Sri Lanka and Germany proposes the analysis of the supply-push and demand-pull policy with five patterns on the development of wind power in order to suggest how the functionality of policy instruments must be served to foster the wind power.

  • In Sanyue, the identity of the state and the individual is discussed in terms of the class, ideology, system, moral ethics, tactical strategy, national view, Talent image, etc. and It pursues a historical approach in the world history and an attempt to self-realize in the history of mankind. This literature expresses the strength of military theory and discusses the main core points of the country as a military political and tactical strategy as follows: "Shangyue, zhongyue, and Xiayue. In the Shangyue in Sanyue, it describes how to distinguish the heroes who have been appointed through the ceremony, and it shows the accomplishment of the reason. In zhongyue, we discuss how to distinguish the contingency plan the meaning of change. In Xiayue, we discuss practical thinking of moral ethics and explain the possibility of All the officials and sages angry by considering the safety of the country."

Investigating Science-Policy Interfaces in Japanese Politics through Climate Change Discourse Coalitions of an Environmental Policy Actor Network

  • How is science advice integrated in environmental policymaking? This is an increasingly pertinent question that is being raised since the nuclear catastrophe of Fukushima, Japan, in 2011. Global re-evaluation of energy policies and climate mitigation measures include discussions on how to better integrate science advice in policymaking, and at the same time keeping science independent from political influence. This paper addressed the policy discourse of setting up a national CO2 reduction target in Japanese policymaking between 2009 and 2012. The target proposed by the former DPJ government was turned down, and Japan lacked a clear strategy for long-term climate mitigation. The analysis provides explanations from a quantitative actor-network perspective. Centrality measures from social network analysis for policy actors in an environmental policy network of Japan were calculated to identify those actors that control the discourse. Data used for analysis comes from the Global Environmental Policy Actor Network 2 (GEPON 2) survey conducted in Japan (2012-13). Science advice in Japan was kept independent from political influence and was mostly excluded from policymaking. One of the two largest discourse coalitions in the environmental policy network promoted a higher CO2 reduction target for international negotiations but favored lowering the target after a new international agreement would have been set. This may explain why Japan struggled to commit to long-term mitigation strategies. Applying social network analysis to quantitatively calculate discourse coalitions was a feasible methodology for investigating "discursive power." But limited in discussing the "practice" (e.g. meetings, telephone, or email conversations) among the actors in discourse coalitions.
