  • This Study was designed to know the growth Status under various photoperiod using Zoysia matrella. The experimental plots were split into such groups as control (full sunlight) 3hour, 6hour and 9hour photoperiod by three replication of completely randomized design. Chlorophyll content was analyized by mackine method and total soluble sugar by anthrone method. The result obtained from this experiment was as fol1 lows ; l. Dry weight was high in the control and 9hour plots. Its decrease remarkably occured in the short day plots 2. Leaf growth woes remarkaly decreased by short day condition. Six hour was considered as critical duration for leaf growth. 3. The growth of rhizome in the 9hour and control plots was good. New development of rhizome in the' short day plots was very slow compare to the control plot. 4. Chlorophyll content was high at l8 days after transplanting and then decreased. Its content in the short day plots severely decreased. 5. The content of soluble sugar in the control was low at early growth stage and high at late growth stage. It was found that the shorter the exposure time to sunlight, the higher the ratio of sugar content.

  • With a history of over 100 years, animation is an art of film and television, and a diversified special form of art as well. Animation scene design is not just about scenic painting but also a time-space formative art that serves for film and television animation, presents story plots, unveils dramatic conflicts and depicts character personalities. Scene design requires both high creativity and artistry. Scene design shall cover the living places, social environment, natural environment and historical environment where the characters live. The use of color is an important part in animation creation. In terms of scene design, it plays a significant role in building up the scene atmosphere, promote the plot and enriching screen contents. Focused on Uproar in Heaven-a classic Chinese animation, this paper analyzes the traditional characteristics of Chinese animation scene color and discusses the application and development of color.

  • A simulator for virtual laser machining is developed to help understanding and predicting the effects of machining parameters on the final machined results. Main program is based on the model for polymer ablation with short pulse excimer lasers. Version f of the simulator is built using Visual Fortran to make the user work under visual environment such as Windows on PC, where the important machining parameters can be input via dialog box and the calculated results for machined shape, beam fluence, and temperature distribution can be plotted through the 2-D graphics windows. Version II of the simulator is built using HTML, CGI and JAVA languages, allowing the user to control the input parameters and to see the results plot through the internet.

  • This study was carried out to find problems of the farmland according to the large scale land consolidation projects. Field ramp have problems such as steep slope, narrow width and the difficulty of entering into field and exiting from it. In case of the even ratio of the paddy plot, It showed that the difference of the maximum average level were 8.4cm for the general plots($0.3{\sim}0.4ha$), 12.6cm for the large scale plots($0.8{\sim}1.0ha$), and the level of outlet part was higher than the level of inlet part in some plots. Also, most of presently using inlets are closed and opened manually. It showed that farmers had difficult in the operating of the inlets or the outlets. So it is required the development of the suitable inlets and the suitable outlets.

  • In this study, a chloroform consumer chemical product (CCP) reference material (RM) is successfully developed, with potential to be used in the proficiency testing of hazardous compounds in CCPs for analysis and testing agencies. Validation experiments are rigorously conducted to evaluate whether the RM meets the requirements set by the ISO 13528 and ISO Guide 35, using a reliable GC/MS method for the analysis of chloroform. The obtained calibration plot linearity, limit of detection (LOD), and limit of quantitation (LOQ) are excellent. The developed RM meets the homogeneity and stability requirements; the between-unit (sbb) and within-unit (swb) standard deviations are less than 2.5%, and the stability is found to be guaranteed for 50 days.

  • This paper described construction of CIF and DXF parser using YACC (yet another compiler compiler), in order to plot CIF, and conversion of DXF into CIF for geometrical information of AUTOCAD. It is difficult to construct parper for input with complex grammar or with grammar which has possibilities of extension, and to varify the validity. YACC, a LALR parser generator, is a effective tool in these works. Also DRC or ERC can be developed quickly using primitive CIF in this paper. So, it is practicable to design IC at PC without expensive workstations.

  • The present work presents condensation heat transfer and pressure drop data for the flow of R-12 in flat extruded aluminum tubes with small hydraulic diameters. The tube outside dimensions are $18mm(width){\times}1.7mm(height)$. Three types of internal geometry with the same outside dimensions are tested : sample 1 (7 tube holes), sample 2 (13 tube holes) and sample 3 (7 tube holes, micro-fin). The overall heat transfer coefficient is obtained for air-to-refrigerant heat transfer, and the Wilson plot method is used to determine the heat transfer coefficient for refrigerant flow. The sample 2 and sample 3 show significantly higher performance than sample 1. The heat transfer rates for the sample 2 and sample 3 are 9% and 12% higher, respectively, than sample 1. The friction factors for the sample 2 and sample 3 are 11.9% and 2.4% higher, respectively, than sample 1.

  • The effect of polyamine and Ca2+ on D-glucose-6-phosphate cyclohydrolase activity was studied in Daucus carota root. The enzyme activity was reduced in response to increase in concentration of Ca2+, not the Ca2+-calmodulin complex. The inhibition effect due to Ca2+ was reversed by polyamine, especially remarkable at low concentration of Ca2+. The effect of the Ca2+ on the enzyme seemed to compete with polyamine according to the Lineweaver-Burk plot. The enzyme activity from carrot root protoplast cultured in the prescence of verapamil was higher than that of the control. Such cumulative results suggest that the inhibition by the Ca2+ and enhancement or reversal by polyamine could regulate the biosynthesis of pectin and hemicellulose to some extent.

  • In this study, the characteristics of site amplification at seismic observation stations in Japan were estimated using the attenuation relationship of each station's response spectrum. Ground motion records observed after 32 earthquakes were employed to construct the attenuation relationship. The station correction factor at each KiK-net station was compared to the transfer functions between the base rock and the surface. For each station, the plot of the station correction factor versus the period was similar in shape to the graphs of the transfer function (amplitude ratio versus period). Therefore, the station correction factors are effective for evaluating site amplifications considering the period of ground shaking. In addition, the station correction factors were evaluated with respect to the average shear wave velocities using a geographic information system (GIS) dataset. Lastly, the site amplifications for specific periods were estimated throughout Japan.
