  • This study analyzes the factors of the pleasure principle through female costume in the paintings of Renoir, based on the Freud theory. The factors of the pleasure principle pursuing the desire-satisfaction are described as follows ; narcissism, exhibitionism, extension of the bodily self, the emphasis of erogenous zone, and muscle-erotism.

라캉의 주이상스 개념을 통한 레이 가와쿠보의 디자인 분석 (Analysis of Rei Kawakubo's Designs Through the Lacanian Jouissance)

  • This study aimeds to reinterpret Jacques Lacan's concept of jouissance as a creative driving force in contemporary fashion design and to analyze Rei Kawakubo's radical designs through this lens. Lacan's jouissance is a complex concept that, transcends general pleasure theory. It has gained attention in sociocultural contexts where conventional phenomena are difficult to explain. This approach has proven especially valuable in analyzing artistic developments that defy interpretation through existing aesthetic theories. In this research, I derived three aspects of jouissance: 'pleasure of pain', 'pleasure of forbidden', and 'pleasure of lack'. I then used them to analyzed Rei Kawakubo's designs. Specifically, I systematically analyzed Kawakubo's avant-garde and unconventional designs appearing in each collection by interpreting baffle and uncomfortable designs as 'pleasure of pain', departure from existing fashion conventions as 'pleasure of forbidden', and infinite creative drive as 'pleasure of lack'. Regarding the significance of this study, it explored how the concept of 'pleasure', a fundamental human desire, was reflected in contemporary fashion design. It also presents a new perspective that reinterprets jouissance as a fundamental driving force in fashion design. This approach strengthens the view of fashion design as a medium, reflecting human needs and desires. It can contributes to designers exploring more fundamental sources of inspiration in their creative processes. By introducing a psychoanalytic perspective to fashion design research, this approach is expected to present novel possibilities for interdisciplinary research and contribute to expanding the theoretical horizon of fashion design.

사상의학(四象醫學)의 원리(原理)와 철학적(哲學的) 배경(背景)에 대(對)한 고찰(考察) (A Study on The Principles and Philosophical Basis of 'Sa Sang Medicine')

  • In this study, the author researched the process in which the philosophical basis of 'Sa Sang Medicine (四象醫學)' and its methodology build up the principles of Sa Sang Medicine, and then, examined how the principles were applied to the theoretical system of Sa Sang Medicine. The conclusion would be summarized as follows. 1. 'Nae Kyung Medicine (內經醫學)' was developed under the concept that the cosmos's order and its moving rule could be directly applied to that of human body, which corresponded to the 'Theory of Hwang-No (黃老之學)'. On the contrary, Sa Sang Medicine is a thoroughly human-oriented theory formed in the Confucianism system. 2. Lee Jae-Ma's Substantialism can be briefed into 'Mind 心' (Tae Keuk 太極), 'Mind-Body 心身' (Yang Eui 兩儀) and 'Activity-Mind-Body-Matter 事心身物' (Sa Sang 四象), which respectively represents one-elemented substance, two-elemented substance and four-elemented substance. Especially, Sa Sang was used as a basic framework in which he recognized all the objects and phenomena. So, most critical significance of his substantialism consists in the intention of Sa Sang type classifying. 3. By the method of Sa Sang type classifying, Lee Jae-Ma not only redefined the main concepts of confucianism and developed a unique philosophy of his own, but also, in the field of medical science, resystemized and re-explained the structure and function of human body. 4. From the recognition that Activity-Mind-body-Matter (Sa Sang) are four different existence forms of energy 氣 (or four variation types of energy), Yi Jae-Ma thinks that the viscera of human body have a vertical structure of 'four parts 四焦' (upper, mid-upper, mid-lower and lower parts) and its physiological function is operated by the rising and falling action of four energy presentations (sorrow 哀, anger 怒, joy 喜 and pleasure 樂). 5. In "Gyuk Chi Go 格致藁", Lee Jae-Ma understood the concept of joy, anger, sorrow and pleasure on the basis of nature-emotion theory 性情論 from the philosophical viewpoint. But, from the medical viewpoint of "Dong Eui Su Se Bo Won 東醫壽世保元", he understood them on the basis of vital energy theory. That is, sorrow, anger, joy and pleasure are expression of advance or reverse of nature vital-energy 性氣 and emotion vital-energy 情氣. 6. The rising and falling action principle of four energy presentations (sorrow, anger, joy and pleasure) which produces and helps each other is an identical principles of Sa Sang Medicine, distinguished from the Oh-Haeng 五行 circulating principle in Nae Kyung Medicine. Through this principle, Lee Jae-Ma explained the viscera physiology of human body, pathology & diagnosis and pharmacology.

<새타령> 구성 원리의 표현교육 내용 연구 -이동백 <새타령>들을 중심으로- (A Study on Korean Expression Educational Contents through Construction Principle of )

  • Because of difference of syntactic construction, Lee dong- baek's divides into two parts. Though each parts show different principles of thinking, they aim same communicational purpose. The first half of that quotes set phrase of Chinese classical literature and folklore shows principles of expression that represent object by present cultural well-acquainted informations. It reflects process of thinking basing on cultural identity in pursuit of harmonious communication with listener. In the latter half of the work, the object is presented by mimesis and sensuous description. It implicates intention of making correspondence between linguistic sign and object, and shows principles of expression that present more directly by strengthening the motivated between sign and object. Based on discussion above, I hope we will find a clue to make contents of Korean expression education. We will convert these principles of pursuing cultural universality to make sympathy in communication and pleasure of that, or of representing object substantially to make correspondence into the contents of Korean expression education.

동무(東武) 성정론(性情論) 재고(再考) (Reconsideration about the Dong-Mu's Theory of Nature and Emotion)

  • 1. Objectives : This research was purposed to reconsider the Dong-Mu's Theory of Nature and Mind(生情論). 2. Methods : The Dong-Mu's interpretation on the first chapter of "The Doctrine of Mean(中庸)", and the related contents of Nature and Emotion(性情) in his literature such as "Gyukchigo(格致藁)", "Donguisusebowon-Sasang chobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)" and "Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)" were reviewed. 3. Results and Conclusions : 1. Dong-Mu reinterpreted the concepts about 'Providence(天命) and Human Nature(人性)', 'Not-yet-intentional state(未發) and Intentional state(已發)', 'Nature and Mind(性情)' and 'Equilibrium and Harmony(中和)' in "The Doctrine of Mean", and used these concepts as logical tools in explanation of his thoughts of Human being and medical theory. 2. The generating principle of Nature and Mind(性情) presented as sorrow, anger, joy and pleasure is 'the Principle of Human nature(性理)', which is embodied as 'the Principle of Organ(臟理)' in "Donguisusebowon". The Principle of Organ(臟理) is originated from Heart and lie at lung, spleen, liver and kidney as the form of Four Virtue(四德). 3. The Principle of Organ(臟理) has the position of superintendence and is the generating principle of Nature and Emotion(性情), by which the structural and functional variations between different constitutional types are formed. 4. Dong-Mu's newly established concept of Nature and Emotion(性情) is the core logic in his idea of physiology, pathology and self-cultivation.

임상장면에서의 부부치료에 대한 한의학적 접근 (Approach for The Couple Therapy in Oriental Psychotherapy)

  • Objectives : Neurosis, psychosomatic disease from which most of out-patients suffer originated marital problem in clinical setting, In Oriental medicine, concept and clinical cases of the couple therapy is insufficient. So we suggest the theoretical background and evidence of oriental medical approach. Methods : We searched the theoretical perspectives of recent couple therapy and suggested the psychotherapy with couples in oriental medicine and its clinical utilization. Results : 1. Advantages of the couple therapy in oriental medicine were easy to relationship and emotional communication. because oriental medicine were available to approach of symptom pattern about somatic symptom due to marital problem. 2. Oriental medical therapy, for example, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, herbal medicine, etc. connects doctors and the patients easily, unlike dialogue-centered western psychotherapy. 3. The Ii-Gyeung-Byun-Qi Therapy(移精變氣療法) resolve the marital suppressed feeling easily, Gi-Un-Go-Roen Therapy (至言高論療法) is useful in four principle-marital role, communication, sex life, theory of Hwa-Byung. 4. The principle of 'sorrow restraints anger(悲勝怒)' and 'pleasure restraints sorrow(喜勝悲)' in Oh-Ji-Sang-Seung Therapy(五志相勝療法) accords with forgiveness and recovery that is ultimate goal of the couple therapy. Conclusions : Except existing therapy for recovery of marital relation, We suggest the somatic symptom centered approach based on mind and body unification in oriental medicine. This principle would bring the benefit from the marital to familial relation. From now on, we should correct the theory, need the theorical systematization. Then we should develop the program for recovery of marital relation and examine the hypothesis.

  • 인터넷 이용자의 증가와 함께 이메일 카드의 사용빈도가 급증하고 있다. e 카드는 실시간(real-time)으로 전송되는 장점에 더해 동영상과 효과음을 다중적(multiplex)으로 즐길 수 있는 카드이다. 또한 이용자는 자신의 정서에 따른 선택(alternative)이 가능하다. 이러한 이유로 절은 층에서는 종이카드에서 전자 카드로의 선호도 전이가 뚜렷이 나타나고 있으며 이메일 카드 전문 사이트의 경우 이를 캐릭터 프로모션을 위한 매체로 적극 활용하고 있다. 엽기토끼 '마시마로'가 플래시 애니메이션으로 성공한 이후, 플래시 카드는 캐릭터 비즈니스에 있어 중요한 매체로 인식되어 적극 활용되면서 인터넷 환경을 이루는 주요한 시각물로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 연구는 e 카드 가운데 이용자의 인기를 끌고 있는 플래시 카드를 위주로 하고 이것이 사용자에게 주는 미감의 동인에 대한 고찰로써, 표현 속에 내재되어 있는 의미를 분석하고 이를 엔트로피 개념으로 설명하였다. 즉 애니메이션의 내용은 단순 구성에 따른 단순성 추구에, 표현 형식은 일상성에서의 이탈로부터 얻어지는 이화효과에 기반을 둔 것으로 요약하고, 이 두가지에서 산출되는 것은 구조적 주제의 이완에 따른 긴장 감소의 즐거움으로 보고 미감의 동인을 여기에 설정하였다.

  • 소비의 주체성이 생산과 구조적 측면보다 쾌적함, 온유함, 유머 등의 디자인 제2차 적 가치의 현상으로 전의 되고 있으며 이와 같은 잉여성과 관련된 개념들은 디자인에서뿐만 아니라 최근 과학에서도 공간과 물질, 동일성과 중력 둥과 같은 개념이 사라지고 불확정성, 개연성, 모순, 애매모호함, 엔트로피 등과 같은 개념들로 대체되고 있다. 따라서 디자인과 관련된 인접학문의 지적동향과 주된 관심사의 탐구과정을 통하여 아이디어 전개에 필요한 그림과 이미지들의 변형과 조작 등 디자인의 제2차 적 가치와 잉여적 가치에 관련이 깊고 실제 아이디어 전개의 확장성과 다의성에 관련된 개념과 변형과 조작의 제4열 사고생성체계를 제시하고 자 한다.

사상의학진료에서 상담기법의 활용 (Application of Counseling in Sasang Constitutional Medicine)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between counseling skills and Sasang constitutional medicine(SCM). Methods Reviewing the texts relevant to SCM, comparison between counseling skills and the excerpt from the relating books was conducted in terms of the attitude of the counselor, the observation method, the evaluation of the counselee, the relationship between the counselor and counselee, and the counseling method. Results As the attitude of the counselor, many kinds of attitudes and skills including respecting the counselee and reciprocal belief were needed. The excerpt from "Gyeokchigo" meant that the counselor or a doctor should have the virtue of Truth. To evaluate the patient's problems in SCM and the counseling, diet, digestion, and sleep could be asked, but questions about the emotions such as Joy, Anger, Sorrow and Pleasure should be more carefully modified in a modern way, when applying clinical practices. Empathy as the main principle of the counseling could be attributed to the main idea of Dongmu Lee Jema, in which all the people could be in the same status in a natural way reflecting that they like the virtue and dislike the evil. Recommendations of regimen and directives could be followed according to SCM Conclusions Several items of counseling skills and SCM coincide but some of the modern counseling skills are still needed to apply SCM to make the patients with psychiatric problems treated efficiently.

Tristram Shandy: A Sentimental Journey Riding a Hobbyhorse

  • This paper reads Tristram Shandy around the issue of hobbyhorse, Sterne's main contribution to novelistic techniques as well as his insightful understanding of the modern condition. First, Sterne represents his characters according to the principle of hobbyhorse, declaring "I will draw my uncle Toby's character from his HOBBY-HORSE." Gradually distancing himself from the Juvenalian satiric mode as well as Henry Fielding's grand narrative and Samuel Richardson's psychological realism, as is seen in the early episode of Yorick's death, Sterne suggests that the best way to represent his characters lies in describing their hobbyhorses. Sterne's foregrounding of hobbyhorse is linked with his embrace of madness as part of the modern identity. He accepts that hobbyhorse-riding, a quirky and mad habit of mind or behavior, is indispensable for some people, like Uncle Toby, to survive and get along with their otherwise unbearable lives. Uncle Toby's hobbyhorse of waging mock battles in the bowling green saves him from the perplexing real world of language and sexuality, while the fictionality of his hobbyhorsical world is exposed by Widow Wadman. Since a hobbyhorse is by definition a world of private pleasure and eccentricity, sentimentalism comes along to bridge the two virtually incommensurable hobbyhorsical world in place of linguistic communication. Yet if Tristram Shandy fully stages sentimentalism, a cardinal part of hobbyhorse riding, it also offers an awareness of it, which is a significant development in the cult of sentimentalism in the eighteenth century. Tristram Shandy performs a version of sentimental journey where each character rides his hobbyhorse and the reader is invited to ride his/her own hobbyhorse.
