Neuronal hyperexcitability followed by high level of intracellular calcium and oxidative stress play critical roles in neuronal cell death in stroke and neurotrauma. Hence, KR-31378, a novel benzopyran derivative was designed as a new therapeutic strategy for neuroprotection possessing both anti-oxidant and potassium channel modulating activities. In the present study, we tested for its neuroprotective efficacy against oxidative stress-induced cell death in primary cortical cultures and further investigated its neuroprotective mechanism. Evidence shows that nerve injury triggers mitochondrial dysfunction during axonal degeneration. Mitochondria play a pivotal role in axonal regeneration. Therefore, normalizing mitochondrial energy metabolism may represent an elective therapeutic strategy contributing to nerve recovery after damage. Photobiomodulation (PBM) induces a photobiological effect by stimulating mitochondrial activity. An increasing body of evidence demonstrates that PBM improves ATP generation and modulates many of the secondary mediators [reactive oxygen species (ROS), nitric oxide (NO), cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), and calcium ions (Ca²⁺)], which in turn activate multiple pathways involved in axonal regeneration.

The security environment surrounding the East Asian seas is rapidly changing due to the naval arms race among coastal states. The arms race is likely to worsen the security dilemma of the countries involved, thus increasing the chances for armed conflicts. It is too early to tell how the contemporary naval arms race in the region will evolve. But, for sure, the level of uncertainty is increasingly becoming high and intense. At the same time, there is emerging a legal warfare or lawfare among the rival countries. In particular, the United States and China have been involved in a serious debate about the nature and scope of the right of innocent passage and freedom of navigation in other countries' maritime zones. In collaboration with its regional allies, the United States has also put normative pressures on China with its excessive claims in the South China Sea. The latest arbitral tribunal case between the Philippines and China illustrates the point. With both arms race and normative competition in play, the future of East Asian maritime security will remain very complex and uncertain.

Coccidiosis, an intestinal infection caused by intracellular protozoan parasites belonging to several different species of Eimeria seriously impairs the growth and feed utilization of livestock and poultry. Due to complex life cycle of organism and intricate host immune responses to Elmeria, coccidia vaccine development has been difficult. Understanding of basic imunobiology of pertinent host-parasite interactions is necessary for the development of novel control strategy. Although chickens infected with Eimeria spp. produce parasite-specific antibodies in both the circulation and mucosal secretions, antibody mediated responses play a minor role in protection gainst coccidiosis. Rather, increasing evidence show that cell-mediated immunity plays a major role in resistance to coccidiosis. T-lymphocytes appear to respond to coccidiosis both through cytokine production and a direct cytotoxic attack on infected cells. The exact mechanisms by which T-cells eliminate the parasites, however, remain to be investigated. Since it is crucial to understand the intestinal immune system in order to develop an immunological control strategy against any intestinal immune system in order to develop an immunological control strategy against any intestinal diseases, this presentation will summarize our current understanding of the avian intestinal immune system and mucosal immune responses to Eimeria, to provide a conceptual overview of the complex molecular and cellular events involved in intestinal immune responses to enteric pathogens.

Patent information as a proxy measure of technological capability has been utilized to establish technological strategies of firms. It is important to monitor what competitors' plans for direction on research and development in the initial stage of new industry. Cancer metabolism has been considered as a beacon of hope for cancer research because it is anticipated that the research field will play a central role in developing effective cancer therapies. There is little attention given to understanding the status quo of organizational configurations. By utilizing network analysis, six sub-groups of cancer metabolism were categorized and the relationship between an individual field and participants were analyzed based on cluster and entire network-level. Although the largest drug and biotech companies tried to take an initiative across the whole fields, the differences in technological capabilities between them was discovered. This paper attempts to improve the validity of the suggested procedure and is significant in that it looks at the entire structure of cancer metabolism research from a strategic perspective for the first time.

In order to overcome the difficulties of programming education for beginners, various research strategies such as UMC(Use-Modify-Create), design based learning, discovery learning and play learning are applied. In this study, we developed a HVC(History-VR Coding-Collaboration) learning strategy model for the improvement of learner's computational thinking. The HVC model is composed of a combination module of block type. We developed a 12th session storytelling - based virtual reality programming curriculum. As a result, HVC model and SW education program showed significant difference in improvement of learner's computational thinking.

The purpose of this study was to examine the interaction strategies used by typically developing boys and girls in their dealings with young children with ADHD in free play situations in inclusive classes. This was done in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the meaning of their interaction strategies. The subjects were 52 typically developing children (comprising 27 boys, 25 girls) and 3 young children with ADHD. The findings were as follows : First, the overall frequency of interaction strategies with the young children with ADHD was greater among the young female children (n = 372) than the young male children (n = 298). Second, when the utterance strategies of the male and female children were sub-categorized, both the male children (79.5%) and the female children (57.0%) mostly made use of avoidance strategies, one of the typical withdrawal strategies. Third, the interaction strategy of control represented 42.0 percent and as such was identified as the most prevalent interaction strategy utilized by the young male children studied. In the case of the young female children, obliging strategies were the most common interaction strategies representing 33.1 percent of the total used. In the light of the findings yielded from this study, some educational recommendations are provided.

The advent of information age provides us new challenge because the information breakthrough can play a pivotal role in terms of knowledge transfer in the human resource management. Executive officer must present long term vision in order to expand enterprise continuously and establish long term management goal and strategy which are appropriate for key organizational skills of future management environment (Pfeffer, 1998). Also, long term talent management based on vision, goal and strategy and talent development strategy and employment management must be established (小池, 1994)). American HRM system's reformation cannot be defined without scientific management policy. However, currently widely discussed Japanese HRM system's reformation cannot be defined without organizational commitment focused Japanese employment system. (津田, 1992 ; 太田, 1994). Japan's development of the following policies are behind comparing to Europe : (1)Skill based talent management regardless of age, sex, nationality, race and academic background (2)Consideration of retirement age of 64 (3)Creativity and freedom promoting talent management policy. Also, there are problems to be solved. Solutions will be searched for by establishing new wage policy based on tasks and individuals in the basis of lifetime employment system.

The Korean Peninsula has the gateway role of Far East Asia in economic aspect, because it is the channel to global world that Korea and Japan should take in the future. Till now, there was no real economic cooperation in service industry for two Koreas. Nevertheless, it is high time that two Koreas have to play a gateway role in order to pave the way to come true their global vision. This paper aims to examine the possibility of economic cooperation between two Koreas in service sector and explore the vision and strategy which are useful for the ways toward peaceful unification on the Korean Peninsula and two Koreas' future survival in the midst of global competition. Economic cooperation in service sector, such as transport, tourism, educational services, etc. between two Koreas means establishing and strengthening the infrastructure of their unification. If there were no cooperation of service sector on the Korean Peninsula, we also could not expect the outcome of economic cooperation and the vision of Korea's unification. To sum up, the strategy recommended for the Korean Peninsula's global vision is that two Koreas should simultaneously open the window of economic cooperation in service sector and link the interface between the Eurasian continent and the Korean Peninsula.

An online game is popular topic due to the increased total online game market volume nowadays. Even though many studies on an online game are released, most studies have used survey method that reveal only section of the situation like a snapshot. For this reason, previous studies have a little limitation that does not show dynamically changing issues like a product life cycle and change in customer's satisfaction. Because of this, we researched on an online game with the system dynamic model which can show dynamic simulation to analysis time series data. We chose MMORPG (Massively Multi-play Online Role Playing Game) in sort of an online game because it has many absorbing factors and enthusiastic users. We assumed that the game developer is ready for updated version game and release that periodically and focused on dormant users who used to be enthusiastic about MMORPG and designed simulation model which analyze how to influence of update and CRM strategy on users. The simulation results showed that the update has positive influences to gather new users and hold established users and CRM strategies help to prevent dormant users from transferring to rivals to offer them re-absorbing factors. Through this study, we confirmed importance of update on a online game and suggested the necessity to introduce CRM strategy in an online game market.
