윤활조건에 따른 미끄럼표면의 소성변형량에 의한 스커핑수명 연구 (A Study on Scuffing Life by the Plastic Strain on Sliding Surfaces under Miscellaneous Lubricated Conditions)

  • A correlation between the low-cycle fatigue life and the scuffing-failure life is demonstrated using the plastic strain in boundary lubricated sliding. Loadings proportional to hardness with three different lubricated conditions were used to evaluate the plastic strain. As the results of scuffing tests using vacuum pump oils in nitrogen gas, plastic strain shows 0.0062, and In the mineral oils and commercial engine oils in air, plastic strain show 0.0042 and 0.00092. Those are very useful to describe quantitatively the real lubricated sliding conditions, and are very effective to find the relation between the low-cycle fatigue life and the scuffing life.

  • Determination of elastic properties of nano-scale materials using nano-indentation tests is well established, but that of plastic properties is not yet clear. This paper presents a method to extract plastic properties from nano-indentation test, together with results from detailed elastic-plastic FE analysis. It shows that the plastic properties determined from this method are not unique, in the sense that a number of different plastic properties can give the same load-displacement response from nano-indentation test. possible ways to overcome such problems are discussed.

플라스틱 핵 솔더볼의 열응력 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Stress Analysis of Plastic-Core Solder Balls)

  • Recently, Pb-free solder ball technology, which is getting more significant in miniaturization of electronic equipment, and resolution of recent environmental problems, is necessary to be developed. A plastic-core solder ball is much promising in those considerations. Plastic-core solder balls have the tendency to replace the usual metal-core solder ball from low material cost and superior mechanical properties. The thermal effects, however, are important in manufacturing process, such as deposing micro-sized metal thin film on the spherical polymer surface. Furthermore plastic-core solder balls are easy to be broken due to CTE and elastic coefficient of material property from heat transfer. We propose technical computational investigations for the manufacturing design and the reliability of plastic-core solder ball from thermal stress analysis.

  • Microcellular foaming is being researched as a method of maintaining and improving the mechanical characteristics of plastics as well as saving the material costs. This can not only improve the mechanical properties including impact strength of plastic by producing cells with the size of few ${\mu}$m diameters within the plastic, but also can save the material cost of plastic products with the general volumetric expansion of 2 to 10 times. But quite a long time is required for the gas to be absorbed in the plastic. Therefore consistent research should be done to reduce the saturation time of gas into the plastic and this paper provides the method of water microcellular foaming process as one of the methods using the high diffusivity of water. In addition, we can improve impact property of foamed plastic by using this method.

  • 현대 산업에서 복합재료를 폭넓게 사용하고 있다. 특히 섬유를 기반으로 하여 레진으로 경화시킨 섬유 강화 플라스틱의 재료는 우수하면서도 비강도, 비강성이 뛰어난 경량화 소재로 주목받고 있다. 이 중에서도 탄소섬유를 이용한 탄소섬유강화 플라스틱은 다른 섬유와 달리 뛰어난 기계적 특성을 지녀 차량과 항공기 등 고강도와 경량성을 동시에 필요로 하는 곳에 쓰이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 탄소섬유강화 플라스틱으로 구성된 CT시험편으로 섬유 설계에 따른 인장특성을 해석적 연구를 통해 규명한다. 구멍을 가진 CFRP복합재료의 응력해석에 있어서, 인장환경에서의 파괴경향을 파악한다. 또한 적층각도에 따른 결과를 통하여 해석결과 값에 있어 적층각도 60°로 구성된 해석모델에서 가장 낮은 응력값이 발생함과 사전크랙의 변형에너지 가장 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 실제 실험으로 적용된 구조물에서의 파괴형상을 예측하기 위한 기반데이터를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Because CV Joint which is one of the component of automobile power train system communicates high power and performs power steering function, it requires high qualities such as high strength, high toughness and high fatigue resistance. This component undergoes a series of production processes such as forging, machining and heat treatment and required properties for this component depends on plastic deformation and heat treatment heavily. Therefore in this study, in order to these effects on mechanical properties due to plastic deformation and heat treatment we performed heat treatment following plastic deformation and then tensile test.

  • A two dimensional thermo elasto-plastic finite element stress analysis was performed to study residual stress distributions in AI composites reinforced by SiC whisker and $ZrO_2$ ceramic joints. The influences on the residual stress distributions due to the difference of the reinforcement volume fraction and interlayer material property were investigated. Specifically, stress distributions between AI interlayer material property were investigated. Specifically, stress distributions between AI interlayer and $ZrO_2$ ceramic and between the AI interlayer and AI composite were computationally analzed.

  • 플라스틱 안경렌즈의 소재에 관한 일반적인 특성을, 광학적 특성과 polymer의 구조관련시켜 설명함으로써 그 본질적인 부분에 대한 해설을 하였다. PMMA의 경우 ${\delta}$ 전자에 기반을 둔 1중결합에 의해 폴리머의 골격이 유지되고 이들에 의한 빛의 흡수현상은 매우 적은 것이었다, 폴리머의 굴절율은 주로 분자굴절, 분극율에 의해 지배되었고, Cl, Br, I 같은 할로겐기나 벤젠고리를 함유한 경우 굴절율이 높았다. 굴절율의 온도의존성은 무기그라스보다 환경의존성은 컸고, 폴리머내에서의 산란은 결정영역의 불균일한 분포와 관계가 있었다.

  • CFRD (Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam) face slab concrete has a much capability to occur crack due to drying shrinkage, hydration heat and bas compaction etc. Because of crack of concrete induce structural problem and decrease durability of concrete, it is need to reduce crack of concrete. This is an experimental study to analyze the Control Property of Plastic Shrinkage Crack for CFRD face slab concrete. For this purpose, it was investigated and analyzed the engineering properties of plain concrete and using admixtures (polypropylene fiber, fly-ash) according to test result As the result, it was found that crack width and area of concrete using admixtures less than of plain concrete.

충적점토의 토질공학적 제성상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Engineering Properties of Alluvial Clays)

  • This paper deals with the correlations between the results of the physical property tests and the mechanical property tests for estimating the mechanical indexes by the physical property test results. The soil samples were taken at changweon area, Gyeon-gsangnam-do, where the structures would be placed on the alluvial clay foundation. The outcomes of the study are as follows: 1. Judging from casagrande's plasticity chart, it is considered that the almost all soil samples belong to inorganic silty clay with medium plasticity (clay 14∼62%, silt 36∼73%, sand 1∼29%). The specific gravities are between 2.61 and 2.72, the wet unit weights 1.53g/㎤ and 1.93g/㎤, the liquid limits 28% and 51%, the plastic limits 15% and 31%, the plastic indexes 7% and 27%, the natural moisture contents 33% and 64%. 2. The unconfined compression strengths are between 0.07kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 0.77kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the cohesions 0.04kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 0.37kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the internal friction angles 0$^{\circ}$ and 9$^{\circ}$. 3. The consolidation tests show that the initial void ratios are between 0.68 and 1.68, the precompression loads 0.27kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 1.15kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the compression indexes 0.12 and 0.59. 4. The correlations between the results of the physical property tests and the mechanical property tests for the soil samples are presented as follows: rt=0.011 (203-wn), Cc=0.025 (LL-27.2), Cc=0.46 (e0-0.58), Cc=0.013 (wn-23.2), C=0.021+qu/2.08, qu=2.268rt-3.635
