  • In this paper, the charge pump PLL using the dual PFD to improve the trade-off between acquisition behavior and locked behavior is proposed. This dual PFD consists of a positive edge triggered PFD and a negative edge triggered PFD. The proposed charge pump shows that it is possible to overcome the issue of the charge pump current imsmatch by the current subtraction circuit. Also, this charge pump can suppress reference spurs and disturbance of the VCO control voltage. The proposed charge pump PLL is simulated by SPICE using 0.25${\mu}m$ CMOS process parameters.

  • We present various observational results toward a small group of Young Stellar Objects (YSOs), L1251C. Observations by Spitzer Space Telescope legacy program "From Molecular Cores to Planet Forming Disks" (c2d; Evans et al. 2003) revealed that there are three YSOs within ~15" in L1251C: IRS1 (Class I), IRS2 (Class II), and IRS3 (Class II). In order to understand the molecular environment around these YSOs, we carried out the KVN single-dish observations in $HCO^+$ J=1-0, $H^{13}CO^+$ J=1-0, $N_2H^+$ J=1-0 and HCN J=1-0. $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 was also mapped in L1251C with the TRAO 14m telescope. Integrated intensity maps of high density tracers such as $H^{13}CO^+$ J=1-0, $N_2H^+$ J=1-0 and HCN J=1-0 show similar emission distributions, whose peaks are off the positions of YSOs. A compact $HCO^+$ J=1-0 outflow and an extended $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 outflow were observed, but their outflow axes are not cosistent ($HCO^+$: NW-SE, $^{12}CO$: EW). However, the highest velocity component of the $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 outflow shows similar morphology to the $HCO^+$ J=1-0 outflow, and ~ 23 % of $^{12}CO$ outflow momentum flux is loaded onto this high velocity component. Furthermore, continuum emission has been observed at 350, 450, 850 ${\mu}m$, and 1.3mm. With the KVN single dish, the 22 GHz $H_2O$ maser emission has been also monitored toward L1251C to find variations of the systemic velocity and intensity with time.

  • Debris disks are important observational clues to understanding on-going planetary system formation. They are usually identified by significant mid-infrared excess on top of the photospheric emission of a central star on the basis of prediction from J-, H-, and Ks-band fluxes and the stellar model spectra. For bright stars, 2MASS near-infrared fluxes suffer large uncertainties due to the near-infrared camera saturation. Therefore we have performed follow-up observations with the IRSF 1.4 m near-infrared telescope located in South Africa to obtain accurate J-, H-, and Ks-band fluxes of the central stars. Among 754 main-sequence stars which are detected in the AKARI $18{\mu}m$ band, we have performed photometry for 325 stars with IRSF. As a result, we have successfully improved the flux accuracy of the central stars from 9.2 % to 0.5 % on average. Using this dataset, we have detected $18{\mu}m$ excess emission from 57 stars in our samples with a $3{\sigma}$ level. We find that some of them have high ratios of the excess to the photospheric emission even around very old stars, which cannot be explained by the current planet-formation theories.

  • For manned planetary exploration, human beings are developing technologies that can permanently reside on the planet, and the basic three elements of residence, such as clothing and shelter, are required to support essential technologies in construction. In order to develop infrastructure construction technology internationally, various materials and methods such as local cementation, sulfur and aluminum have been tried. in this study, a purpose is proposed a polymer concrete construction validation technology that appropriates the conditions required for manmade exploration in order to develop construction infrastructure material technology using polymer. Concrete specimens with a 10% weight ratio polymer prepared by heating on the bottom were stabilized after 2 hours of heating, and the strength was lower than the top heating method, but the solidifying speed was 2 times faster. These results are expected to be applicable not only to construction of lunar facilities for manned exploration but also to improve the construction of infrastructures such as roads and levees to prevent dust.

  • In this century, scientists realized that carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere cause a greenhouse effect which affects the planet's temperature. Therefore lots of attempts have carried out to decrease the discharge of carbon dioxide gas in the field. The dissolved carbon dioxide flotation (DCF) process was developed as an alternative of DAF process to decrease the discharge and reuse of carbon dioxide as well as to save energy consumption. To investigate the particle separation characteristics and the flotation efficiency of carbon dioxide, SCC model was employed in the DCF process which has been applied extensively for the evaluation and simulation in the DAF process. The simulation results by the SCC model revealed the predicted curve of flotation efficiency became decreased gradually over the optimal pressure range of saturator about 1.6 atm in accordance with the experiment results of the DCF pilot plant and the size distribution and the bubble volume concentration of $CO_{2}$ bubbles depending on the operation pressure of saturator. The findings through the simulation results led to the conclusion that there was no significant difference between $CO_{2}$ bubbles and air bubbles, affecting on the practical flotation efficiency, in terms of the initial collision and attachment efficiency.

  • The potential impact of aircraft emissions on the current and projected climate of our planet is one of the more important environmental issues facing the aviation industry. Increasing concern over the potential negative effects of greenhouse gas emissions has motivated aircraft emission estimation and prediction as one of the ways to reduce aircraft emissions and mitigate the impact of aviation on climate. We obtained airline flight schedules for all the airports in Korea that are included in OAG data. Fuel burn and emission index of LTO flight which contains take off, climb and approach under 3000ft and Non LTO flight which contains climb, cruise and descent over 3000ft for all the airports in Korea in 2005 were estimated and analysed for each condition using AEIC software which has been developed by MIT Lab for Aviation and Environment.

  • involves philosophical perspectives that are different from other SF movies. This perspective was derived from that of Zecharia Sitchin, in which he tells the history of the earth and mankind from a very unique perspective. He claimed that the intelligent beings (according to Sitchen, we called them the gods) on this planet created mankind and brought them ancient civilizations. The purpose of this study is to analyze under the determination that a comparative analysis can be made between SF movies and an art genre, in the outlook that Sitchin's perspectives are under extraordinary attention of religious and academic circles and are assisting in solving many mysteries on earth with currently excavated archaeological evidences, to identify the factors of consensus between the message Sitchin wanted to convey and SF movies and find the historical perspectives of Sitchin in the cross-section between Sitchin and the narratives in .

  • We solved n-body problem about 9 planets, moon, and 4 minor planets with relativistic effect related to the basic equation of motion of the solar system. Perturbations including flgure potential of the earth and the moon and solid earth tidal effect were considered on this relativistic equation of motion. The orientations employed precession and nutation for the earth, and lunar libration model with Eckert's lunar libration model based on J2000.0 were used for the moon. Finally, we developed heliocentric ecliptic position and velocity of each planet using this software package named the SSEG (Solar System Ephemerides Generator) by long-term (more than 100 years) simulation on CRAY-2S super computer, through testing each subroutine on personal computer and short-time(within 800 dyas) running on SUN3/280 workstation. Epoch of input data JD2440400.5 were adopted in order to compare our results to the data archived from JPL's DE 200 by Standish and Newhall. Above equation of motion was integrated numerically having 1-day step-size interval through 40,000 days (about 110 years long) as total computing interval. We obtained high-precision ephemerides of the planets with maximum error, less $than\pm2\times10^{-8}AU(\approx\pm3km)$ compared with DE200 data (except for mars and moon).

  • In its Declaration of Principles, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development recommends that, "to achieve sustainable development and a higher quality of life for all people, states should reduce and eliminate unsustainable patterns of production and consumption...." This notion of sustainability lies at the core of many "commons" problems, where the central issue is to enable "individuals to sustain long-term, productive use of natural resource systems". In other worlds, a common definition of "sustainability" captures the idea of aligning human consumption with the capacity of ecological systems to supply, over a long period of time, such natural resources as air, soil, or water on which production depends. The concept of sustainability raises all sorts of political, social, and economic questions about the distribution of environmental protection. For sustainable community development to be addressed, these questions must be raised. In order to convince different citizenry of the necessity of sustainability, these questions must also be answered. This is where questions of equity, justice, and fairness arise. Sustainability and equity require that we deal with nature as an undivided whole, with no part being unsustainable. Sustainability and social policy also requires that we deal with the human population as an undivided whole. We simply cannot move people around the planet to either perpetuate past practices of earth exploitation or to implement sustainable planning. Everyone must work with the people inhabiting sensitive ecological areas, especially areas of regeneration. In the sustainable global community, we are as strong as our weakest link, or our most toxic community. This is the undeniable driving force for the infusion of equity into the sustainable development debate.
