  • Rebar work is important in terms of cost and process of reinforced concrete construction along with formwork and concrete construction, and the quality of reinforced concrete construction has a great influence on the safety and durability of the structure. Therefore it is important to thoroughly inspect the steel reinforcement after casting the concrete because it is difficult to confirm the actual condition of the reinforcement. The purpose of this study is to develop an augmented reality system to visualize the records of bar placing work, which is increasingly utilized in the construction field. In order to improve maintenance of reinforced concrete, this study suggests a plan to effectively manage the drawing information including the structural drawing, the placing drawing, and the photographed image at the construction and inspection stage, and develop a system that utilizes augmented reality technology that can display the state of the inside of a concrete structure by superimposing it on actual environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an mobile augmented reality for students to learn bar placing work, which is increasingly utilized in the construction field. In order to improve the understanding of the structural drawing, a structural drawing is used as a marker image, and an augmented reality is realized by superimposing a virtual 3D bar placing model that is placed according to the structural drawing on the screen. In addition to the 3D modeling, the contents are developed so as to help students to learn the interpretation method of 2D drawings, the development and splices of reinforcing steel, bar fabricating practice according to KCI structural concrete design code, and the process of bar placing. The results show that the augmented reality is positively evaluated in terms of interface style, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, attitude toward using, and intention to use. The augmented reality is worth to be introduced because it has advantages of visualization and interaction in terms of education.

  • The reinforcing steel process is composed of the development of placing drawing, cutting and bending, and the placement and fabrication of the reinforcement, and is participated in by reinforcement detailer, the fabricator and placer. Because the reinforcing steel process-from estimating and rebar detailing, to production, material tracking, billing, and general accounting-is conducted by many participant, reinforcement details based on building code and reinforcing bar detailing standards are essential. The process, however, holds some problems. Building code has been revised recently, and the utilization of placing drawings was proved to be low, and the reinforcement estimating in early stage of the process is below what is required for placement. Therefore, in this study, a survey was conducted to the reinforcement detailer, the fabricator and placer of domestic construction industry. According to the analysis of the survey, the reinforcement details on site was not standardized. The improvement in reinforcing steel detailing standards was sought by analyzing the results of the survey including reinforcement constructability.

Development of 3-Dimensional Rebar Detail Design and Placing Drawing System (3차원 배근설계 및 배근시공도 작성 자동화 시스템 개발)

  • The rebar detailing is an important work influencing the final performance and quality of RC structures. But it is one of the most irrational and illogical activity in construction site. Many groups of workers, including main contractors, structural engineers, shop drawers, rebar fabricators, and etc., participate in this activity. A loosely-organized process for this activity is apt to produce a big amount of rebar loss or even degraded structures. A 3-dimensional rebar auto-placing system, called as Rebar Hub, has been designed and implemented in this research. Rebar Hub provides a totally integrated service from 3D structural modeling of buildings to rebar auto-placing considering anchorage, splice, and the length of ordered rebar. In addition, Rebar Hub can recognize the 2D drawing CAD files and then build 3D structural models which are used for the start point of 3D rebar auto-placing. After rebar auto-placing, each members of the 3D structural model have rebar information belonging to them. It means that the rebar information can be used for the afterward works such as quantity-survey, manufacturing and fabrication of rebars. Rebar Hub is showing outstanding performance while applying to practical projects. It has almost five times productivity and reduces the rebar loss up to 3~8% of the initially-surveyed amount of rebar.

A Study on the Improvement of Erection Bar Detailing in Domestic Building Construction (국내 건축물 조립용 철근 배근현황 및 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The erection bar is defined as the assistant bar used to fix the position of the reinforcing steel as the reinforcing steel is placed on site. As the erection bar do not bear the structural load and is not showed in the structural drawings, it is not managed importantly. But as chair bars in mat footing is used in large quantities to support the upper main bars, the detailing standards need to be suggested. and some erection bar is placed by experience of the fabricator and placer. Therefore, in this study, a survey about the erection bars was conducted to the reinforcement detailer, the fabricator and placer of domestic construction industry. 11 placing drawings is analyzed to find out the problems of detailing and the quantities of the erection bars. According to the analysis of the survey, the erection bar details in placing drawings were not standardized, and some erection bars are omitted in placing drawings. The improvement in the erection bar detailing was sought by analyzing the results of the survey.

  • In the field of construction, research on smart construction technology is being actively pursued as a measure to increase productivity and efficiency. The technology that links 3D scanning and BIM of smart construction technology is in the limelight as a technology for checking the state of buildings in the field of architecture. It is thought that these techniques will be of great help in solving problems when the amount of inspection targets is large, such as confirmation of the rebar arrangement intervals, and therefore a large number of human resources are required. Therefore, in this study, we would like to apply 3D scanning to rebar construction to confirm whether the rebar arrangement can be confirmed according to the design drawing. In the study, the wall rebar of the rebar placed at the actual construction site was directly scanned to extract data, and the rebar placing status was confirmed through type analysis. As a result of analyzing the reinforcing bar arrangement state based on the data obtained by 3D scanning, it was found that the technology can be utilized.

  • Hatching is an effective artistic tool for conveying shape and shading by placing parallel line strokes on drawing objects. We present a simple and effective per-pixel image-space hatching method to draw line strokes using given stroke directions. Our hatching method directly runs on the screen and it can efficiently render highly complex scenes in hatching styles. We implement the algorithm using a pixel shader in a modern GPU.

  • 본 연구에서는 철근가격 급등과 배근시공도 작성 인력 부족에 대비하여 SDM# 제품군을 사용하여 이음/정착을 고려한 3차원 철근 배근 자동화 기술(RAP)로 철근 배근 자동생성 및 배근시공도 작성 시스템을 개발하였다. 최근 철근가격 급등으로 인한 공사원가상승/인건비 상승/배근시공도 작성 인력 부족 등의 기존현황의 문제점 등을 SDM# 제품군의 철근 배근 자동화 기술(RAP)을 이용하여 자동 철근배근/배근시공도 작성/정밀 골조물량 산출/인력절감/시공 정밀도 향상/골조 공사비 절감 등의 효과와 기존의 현장가공으로 인한 철근 손실률 8%를 공장가공을 적용함으로써 3% 수준으로 낮출 수 있어 5% 내외의 절감효과를 얻을 수 있다. 철근현장가공에서 공장가공 전환으로 골조물량 절감을 기대할 수 있고, 이음/정착/응력분포가 고려된 3차원 철근 배근 자동화 기술(RAP)을 이용하여 자동배근 알고리즘에 의한 배근시공도/가공도 작성 효율을 높이고, 기술 자립을 통해 건설시공 분야의 기술력 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

Confucian Knowledge and Concepts in the Translation of Islam in China

  • This article aims to explore how Confucian knowledge and concepts were adapted, consolidated, and negotiated in the translation of Islam in China. Translation has always played a key role in producing and disseminating knowledge across cultures and languages, but little has been discussed to identify "the intimate connection between translation and the mediation of knowledge" (Baker 2018). Drawing on the studies of Chinese Confucian scholars on Islam, such as Wang Daiyu, Liu Zhi, and Ma Dexin, this article argues that Islam in China features many aspects of Neo-Confucianism that highly appreciate secular morality resulting in Confucian Islam, and that this was rationalized based on the similarities between Confucianism and Islam, placing Islam on a par with Confucianism for indigenization.

  • The perspective representation and its effect that appeared in the tombs and mural paintings of koguryo are summarized as follows: First, The inside structure of the tombs is likely to show the deepness effect, placing each function in the front and both sides centering around the mane pillars and creating the boundaries and the spaces that have various visibility between the inside and outside spaces of the structure just like a traditional Korean house shows. In addition, The deepness effect is emphasized by suggesting that the spaces are countinued with a storage attached behind the main house or by forming the level and deployment in a narrow space like the scene that a large array is looked out from the main house. Second, The deepness effect is expressed by making the form of ceiling turn to a vertical space of an ascending image, constructing it just as the lotus lamp ceiling of a wooden architecture or drawing it just like the imaginary heavenly world with the sun the moon and mythical fairies and animals spread in it. Thried, The perspective effect is disclosed by drawing the mural pictures in an equally set bird's-eye view without regard to the disfance proportion according to the conceptual visualization which is not a visual penetration, adopting the multiple view points and moving view points that are moving around as an important manner of seeing. Fourth, The deepness effect is emphasized through the scene of changing spaces when they are looked out far or looked into depending on a viewpoint of the daily life by forming the fromes of paintings that we made up with actual pillars, Du Gong, crossbeams or that are painted in most tombs. Fifth, The rich spatial senses are reflected by originating the characters of the three directions, level, deployment and ascending. An example which can support the conclusion of this study can be given here. that is, the construction ground plan of a dwelling house of a nobleman at the end of Koguryo as a remain which was excavated at Dongdae Ja in Jip An.
