Pole-zero placement self-tuning controller minimizing tracking error (추종 오차를 최소화하는 극-영점 배치 자기 동조 제어기)

  • In this paper, a self-tuning controller design is proposed by using pole-zero placement method and considering a system time delay. To got better tracking for the generalized self-tuning controller, pole placement method for the closed loop system and zero placement method for the error transfer function are Introduced. The proposed method shows better efficiency than pole placement method for minimizing tracking error. Simulation gives good results in tie reference signal tracking.

  • In this research, we developed a new algorithm for hierarchical placement of integrated circuits. For efficient placement of a large circuit, the given circuit is recursively partitioned to form a hierarchy tree and then simulated-annealing-based placement method is applied at each level of the hierarchy to find a near optimum solution. During the placemtnt, global optimization is performed at high levels of the hierarchy and local optimization is performed at low levels. When compared with conventional placement methods, the new hierarchical placement method produced favorable results.

  • In this paper, a method for optimal measurement placement in the problem of static harmonic state estimation in power systems is proposed. At first, for achieving to a suitable method by considering the precision factor of the estimation, a procedure based on Genetic Algorithm (GA) for optimal placement is suggested. Optimal placement by regarding the precision factor has an evident solution, and the proposed method is successful in achieving the mentioned solution. But, the previous applied method, which is called the Sequential Elimination (SE) algorithm, can not achieve to the evident solution of the mentioned problem. Finally, considering both precision and economic factors together in solving the optimal placement problem, a practical method based on GA is proposed. The simulation results are shown an improvement in the precision of the estimation by using the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a method for determining the optimal placement of distributed generation units considering voltage sags. In general, the existing methods for distributed generation placement do not consider power quality problems such as voltage sags. In this paper, a novel method based on both genetic algorithm and voltage sag assessment is proposed for determining the placement of distributed generation unit. In the proposed method, the optimal placement is determined to minimize voltage sag effects and system losses.

Finite element stress analysis on supporting bone by tripodal placement of implant fixture (유한요소법을 이용한 임플란트 고정체의 삼각배열에 따른 지지골의 응력 분석)

  • Purpose: This study was to propose the clear understanding for stress distribution of supporting bone by use of staggered buccal offset tripodal placement of fixtures of posterior 3 crown implant partial dentures. We realized posterior 3 crown implant fixed partial dentures through finite element modeling and analysed stress effect of implant arrangement location to supporting bone under external load using finite element method. Method: To understand stress distribution of 3 crown implant fixed partial dentures which have 2 different arrangement by finite element analysis. In each model, for loading condition, we applied $45^{\circ}$ oblique load to occlusal surface of crown and applied 100 N for 3 crown individually(total 300 N) for imitating possible oral loading condition. at this time, we calculated Von Mises stress distribution in supporting bone through finite element method. Result: When apply $45^{\circ}$ oblique load to in-line arrangement model, maximum stress result for 100 N for each 3 crown 47.566MPa. In tripodal placement, result for 1mm buccal offset tripodal placement implant model was maximum distributed load 51.418MPa, so result was higher than in-line arrangement model. Conclusion: In stress distribution result by placement of implant fixture, the most effective structure was in-line arrangement. The tripodal placement does not effective for stress distribution, gap cause more damage to supporting bone.

Fertilizer Placement Effect on Agronomic Characteristics of Burley Tobacco(N. tabacum L.) (시비방법이 버어리종 잎담배의 농경적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently the method of basal compound fertilizer (N : P : K = 18.2 : 9.8 : 35.0) Placement has been changed from banding to broadcasting in tobacco cultivation. The effects of the compound fertilizer placement, level of fertilizer and additional urea application on the agronomic characteristics, two chemical compositions and physical Properties of burley tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. KB 108) were investigated at Chonju Experiment Station, Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Research Institute in 1995-1996. Six treatments consisted of (1) band (method of fertilizer Placement) + In kg/10a(compound fertilizer) + 0(additional urea applied), (2) broadcast+140+0, (3) broadcast+140+25, (4) band+180+0, (5) broadcast+180+0, and (6) broadcast +180+25. The additional urea was applied at hilling. No significant differences were detected between banding and broadcasting method of compound fertilizer Placement in field 9rowth, wield, organoleptic qualify(price Per kilogram), chemical composition and Physical properties of cured leaf, The increased compound fertilizer by 30%(40k/10a) or the additional urea application by 25kg per 10a produced slightly higher yield than the recommended amount of basal compound fertilizer without additional urea application did. It also increased the total alkaloid content of cured leaf. It is recommended that no more basal fertilizer above the recommended amount and no additional urea application are needed in burley tobacco fertilization, even though the method of basal fertilizer placement being chanced from banding to broadcasting.   • NOD systems contain the data of multiple types such as text, image and video, and the size of NOD data depend on their data types. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a Data Placement Method based on Data Types(DPMDT), in which the data placement method depends on their type. Then, we analyze the performance of DPMDT with that of a Time Based Storage Management(TBSM) in which the data placement method depends on their created date, and that of Rate Based Storage Management(RBSM) in which the data placement method depends on their created date and accessed rate. In case of long playback of video news and a few disks(one disk), our results show that the performance of DPMDT is less efficient than that of TBSM and RBSM methods, however, in case of over 2 disks, the performance of DPMDT is more efficient than that of TBSM and RBSM methods.

  • Cloud Computing offers flexible, on demand, ubiquitous resources for cloud users. Cloud users are provided computing resources in a virtualized environment. In order to meet the growing demands for computing resources, data centres contain a large number of physical machines accommodating multiple virtual machines. However, cloud data centres cannot utilize their computing resources to their total capacity. Several policies have been proposed for improving energy proficiency and computing resource utilization in cloud data centres. Virtual machine placement is an effective method involving efficient mapping of virtual machines to physical machines. However, the availability of many physical machines accommodating multiple virtual machines in a data centre has made the virtual machine placement problem a non deterministic polynomial time hard (NP hard) problem. Metaheuristic algorithms have been widely used to solve the NP hard problems of multiple and conflicting objectives, such as the virtual machine placement problem. In this context, we presented essential concepts regarding virtual machine placement and objective functions for optimizing different parameters. This paper provides a taxonomy of metaheuristic algorithms for the virtual machine placement method. It is followed by a review of prominent research of virtual machine placement methods using meta heuristic algorithms and comparing them. Finally, this paper provides a conclusion and future research directions in virtual machine placement of cloud computing.

  • Kruskal and Wallis (1952) proposed typical nonparametric method in one-way layout problem. A special feature of this procedure is use of rank in mixed samples. In this paper, the new procedure based on placement as extension of the two sample placement tests described in Orban and Wolfe (1982) was proposed. Some critical values in small sample cases and comparative results of a Monte Carlo power study are presented.

  • Typical Nonparametric methods for randomized block design with replications are two methods proposed by Mack (1981) and Mack and Skillings (1980). This method is likely to cause information loss because it uses the average of repeated observations instead of each repeated observation in the processing of each block. In order to compensate for this, we proposed a test method using linear placement statistics, which is a score function applied to the joint placement method proposed by Chung and Kim (2007). Monte Carlo simulation study is adapted to compare the power with previous methods.
