Attempts were made to improve gelatinization, saccharification and panfrying processes for mass production of Nochi, a kind of traditional Korean rice cake. Gelatinization of waxy rice powder with 20-55% of moisture content were completed within a minute at 120$^{\circ}C$ or above by using the extrusion cooker. Among enzymes tested for liquefaction and saccharification of the gelatinized rice, in place of malt, BAN (0.53%)+${\beta}$-amlyase (4.27%) was the most suitable enzymes for the production of Nochi. Panfrying process of Nochi was drastically shortened by heating Nochi dough for 1 minute in a microwave oven and subsequently panfrying at 150$^{\circ}C$ for 7 minutes.

The purposes of this study are (1) to investigate the correlation between English word-final stop and the duration of vowels before word-final stop and (2) to suggest a way to detect pronunciation errors and teach the pronunciation of English word-final stops. For these purposes, 18 Korean speakers' production was recorded and analysed using Speech Analyzer and their production was compared with that of native English speakers. In addition, two native English speakers evaluated the subjects' pronunciation. The major findings are the voicing dependent effect of the English vowels produced by native Korean speakers is lower than that of native English speakers; Korean speakers release English word-final stops less than native English speakers; and the pronunciation of English word-final stops and the duration of adjacent vowels are closely related in that the pronunciation score of final stops and the ratio of vowels between the vowels before voiced stops and voiceless stops are correlated. In addition, this study concludes with pedagogical suggestions that may be useful for English pronunciation teaching.

With a great requirement of innovation caused by severe competition current companies are encouraged to improve bottleneck areas in production procedure. Specially a chassis line in which assembly processes are mainly carried out manually has the large potential to be automated. The putting of spare tire in trunk in chassis line is still dominated by free dropping method. Through that, parts in trunk such as luggage room lamp, jack and so on were damaged and the complaint of assembler in the next process was occurred due to physical strength. To eliminate these, tile robot system was in this paper developed to place spare tire on the mounting hole in trunk. The movement of robot was synchronized with the velocity of chassis hanger. With this automated system the productivity of the chassis line was increased from the benefits such as simplification of the system using only robot without the mechanically synchronized transport, inserting spare tire into the right position with robot, reduction of damaged parts and production of various type of car.

Today in modern Korea, the preferred modern social role for many modern women is that of modern housewife. This move to the role of housewife is a change in more than just a role; it also reflects a deep and fundamental change that has taken place in the social and economic roles of married women. This shift in economic activities and the gender roles they help produce speaks of a deep and profound process of transformation for all of Korea. Traditionally, a woman was a member of a family premised upon group production as well as group consumption. The role of jubu is derived almost exclusively from market forces and bases her identity and actions upon those forces. This distinction is crucial because it means Korean women are finding that they are no longer as central to the existence of the family. Modern life situations have altered a womans role by making consumption, not production by the woman herself, the keystone of modern families.

This is the paper on the development of assemnly automation and visual inspection system for smart card reader connector. The automation consists of 3 main process injection, assembly and inspection. During the injection, the main pin of a reel. transferred under uniform tension, is cut with an injection interval and positioned precisely to an injection mold by roll feeder after injection. The main base is stacked to a magazine for main pin's exact positionning to a mold . For last effective production, The turn table and pick & place are driver with gears and came by a single monter. We developed the small parts handling technigue for stable supply of micro ist pin and 2nd pin and could determine the orientation and position of those pins. For reliable inspection, We used the vision system which examins the guality of arranged pins with a CCD camera. The connector models which can be manufactured with this system are 8 pin and 10 pin type. The user can select the connector model for production and adjust the torerable error range during the inspection of arranged pins.

Facilities are getting more automated and informative in modern manufacturing systems, especially in semiconductor and LCD plants. These systems keep a great deal of such information on its current and near-future status as the arrival time and job completion time of their parts. This paper presents an efficient policy for AGV and part routing using information on the future status of the system where AGVs are playing a central role for material handling. Efficient control of AGVs is very important because AGV systems often become the bottleneck and limit the total production capacity of a very expensive plant. The cell controller records the future events chronologically in Next Event Schedule, and uses this list to determine to which place the AGVs and parts to be sent.

This study deals with the schemes of design, plan and operate maintenance management support systems and with the engineering approach for the solutions to build the maintenance management for the production efficiency. Maintenance Management Information System(MMIS) is the task that must focus on machinery historical data and planned maintenance action. Also the efficient supporting system in a maintenance management is achieved by database which is based on process of machinery's failure history. Designing method of maintenance management information system, maintenance modules are consisted of six factors ; machinery's historical data, lubrication control, check sheet, repair work, availability report, and performance report(control board and detailed reports), and then operators can rapidly utilize data in work place. In the implementation of designed model, program coding has been developed by Visual Basic 3.0. Data insertion, deletion and updating which perform menu screen is implemented by reading data from database. Implementation model based on LAN environment and related data is stored in Microsoft DBMS.

Recently, the game industry has been developed in a large scale, and online games and mobile games place significant weight on the game industry. This study demonstrated the results of their content production capability by age those who are randomly selected participants into three groups of elementary school, middle school, and university students to get game content production capability from them. To evaluate content production capability, a short-term training was conducted for elementary school and middle school students, and they produced contents with a little low level of completeness. University students had a long-term training several times more than that of elementary school and middle school students, and they produced contents with a higher level of completeness. This study employed evaluation methods with evaluation criteria of the same number of persons and items. Evaluation scores of 80.5 for elementary school students, 88.3 for middle school students, and 78.3 for university students were demonstrated on the basis of a maximum scale of 100 points. Thus, it is said that if a systemic professional training is performed for them to develop game potentiality from the stage of middle school students, it is possible to raise professional personnel for game content production at an early stage and highly contribute to Nation's Competitiveness.
