This study is on the external environment of University library organization, to establish the theoretical background of scientific organization. The library is heavily influenced by its environment and much of the library manager's time is spent trying to reduce these envitronmental influences. The library, basic facility of the university has two environments: external and internal. The external environment is consist of educational, political, economical, cultural, technological and physical environment in society, Internal environment is consist of the university and the library condition. Several subjects of external environment which effect the construction of library organization are selected the elements of this study.

본 연구는 대학의 교수와 학생 이용자가 전통적인 형태의 물리적 도서관과 온라인 정보이용 중심의 디지털 도서관이 혼합된 하이브리드 형태의 도서관 환경에서 대학도서관을 이용하고자 하는 행동 의도 즉, 도서관 이용 의도를 결정하는 요인들과 그 요인들 사이의 구조적 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 대학의 주요 구성원 그룹이 가지고 있는 대학도서관에 대한 전반적인 인식을 조사하기 위하여 구조화된 설문지를 개발하여 자료를 수집하였고, 도서관 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 관계 분석을 위해 사회심리학에서 빈번히 활용되는 행동-태도 이론을 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적에 적합하다고 판단되는 계획행동이론(TPB)과 기술수용모형(TAM)을 기반으로 한 통합모형을 제안하여 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 이용환경 변화에 따른 이용자의 도서관 이용에 대한 인식과 이용의도를 물리적 도서관과 디지털도서관으로 나누어 각각 확인하였고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 도서관의 미래 전략 및 운영 방안에 대해 논의해 보고자 하였다는데 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있으며, 본 연구의 결과는 대학도서관으로 하여금 변화하는 환경에서 생존하고 균형적인 성장을 이루기 위해서는 인지, 주목, 그리고 협력을 바탕으로 한 효과적이며 효율적인 운영전략을 수립하여야 한다는 점을 주지하고 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to overview a recent dispute of the library of the 21st century in Korea and to suggest a desirable model of the future library. There are two visions of the future of library. The first is an access based library model(digital library) emphasizing the digital resources that are networked and browsable electronically. The second is an ownership-based library model(paper library) which emphasize the use of traditional print collections stored locally and physically browsable. A points of dispute between the paper library as storehouse and the digital library as gateway are an electronic informations versus printed materials, access versus ownership, information professional versus librarians. The idea that library as physical place and as cyberspace are diametrically o n.0, pposed is a fallacy and surrealistic opinion. Future library has to acquire, organize, preserve, and make accessible the collections that users want and need. In other words, future libraries need both ownership and access. Access to remote electronic resources must serve as a reasonable substitute for holdings of older material. Therefore, it is a balanced solution that the more heavily used or important materials be considered for ownership and selective information resources for access. No doubt, the traditional library and the digital library will be coexist in the 21 century.

Due to an inability to accommodate for the rapidly increasing number of printed materials, Korean academic libraries are facing serious space shortage problems. Very few academic institutions have the funds to expand existing libraries or construct new facilities in order to accommodate the influx of printed materials. Despite not having the luxury to create new space, many establishments continue to implement the open access system. Seeing that such a system is only user friendly when used in a spacious facility, the maintenance of the open access system is unreasonable. Only few libraries consider the space efficient closed access system which helps to resolve storage space shortage. In the current state of the problem, improving the efficiency to which books are stored in existing storage areas within a library facility is the only appropriate solution. Enacting methods to improve physical space utilization within a fixed volume library facility will undoubtedly diminish the space shortage issue at hand. In this article, several space efficiency improvement approaches are discussed. Methods of book storage plan re-layout (floor, plan, ceiling, height, bookshelf design), book arrangement possibilities, and the reduction of the physical volume of reserved materials are each examined.

본 연구는 대학 도서관의 효과적인 예산편성도구를 마련하기 위해 기업의 물류비 원가계산 개념을 대학 도서관의 수서, 정리, 열람의 물류이동에 적용하고자 한다. 우선 도서관 원가계산의 기본적인 항목을 선정한 다음 이 항목으로 원가계산을 할 수 있는 모형을 만들어 사례도서관인 계명대학교 도서관에 적용하였다. 자료확보의 어려움으로 인해 원가항목의 선정 그리고 부문별 원가계산에 있어서 배분기준에 문제점이 없는 것은 아니라 기업물류의 흐름을 도서관에 적용하기 위해 모형을 개발하고 그 모형에 따라 원가를 계산하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 작성된 원가계산 모형은 도서관의 특정부문, 혹은 전체업무의 원기를 계산할 수 있는 일반적인 모형이므로 타 대학도서관에서도 부분적 관리항목의 수정을 통해 활용이 가능하리라 판단된다.

This study aimed to discuss the utilization of a makerspace regarding 3D printers in a children's library by conducting co-design sessions targeting the end-users, children. To achieve this, a program utilizing a 3D printer was conducted for seven children at the Seoul Children's Library, followed by interviews with both the children and their parents. The results revealed several key findings: First, during the design sessions, participating children showed interest in the physical realization of ideas through the use of a 3D printer. Researchers adjusted their level of intervention based on each child's tendency, playing a supportive role. Second, children became aware of various limitations associated with 3D printers and public library makerspace. Third, the rapport between children and researchers positively influenced the design sessions, driven by the active communication of children. This study suggests a reevaluation of the value and necessity of library makerspace from the perspective of user autonomy and creativity and emphasizes the need to closely understand the end user's requirements in establishing operational strategies for library makerspace.

전자정보기술의 발달로 인해 도서관 서비스제공은 정보화시스템에 대한 의존 비중이 커져가고 있다. 이러한 상황의 변화에 따라 본 연구는 이용자의 도서관 정보화에 대한 성과지각과 정보화를 통한 이용 만족은 전반적 만족에 중요한 선행요인이 될 것으로 추론하였다. 뿐만 아니라 기존 연구는 대체로 도서관의 서비스제공측면에서 이용자의 인식이나 만족을 조사하였으나 본 연구는 시각을 달리하여 이용자측면에서 단순 열람목적의 일반적 이용과, 전문정보구득 목적의 전문적 이용패턴이 정보화 성과지각에 어떻게 다르게 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 조사하였다. 또한 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 마지막으로 서비스품질차원이 정보화성과지각과 이용만족에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 첫째, 도서관 이용자의 열람 등 일반적 목적 이용이 정보화성과지각에 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였으나 유의한 수준에 미치지 못했다. 둘째, 도서관 이용자의 특정 정보구득 등 전문적 목적의 이용이 정보화성과지각에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 일반적 서비스품질인 상호작용품질, 결과품질, 물리적환경품질 차원은 정보화성과지각에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 정보화이용만족에는 유의하지 않았다. 마지막으로, 도서관 이용자의 정보화성과지각과 정보화이용만족이 전반적인 만족을 선행하고 있음을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 도서관의 정보화시스템을 어떻게 이용자중심으로 체계화하여 발전시킬 것인지에 대해 심층적인 고찰이 필요함을 확인하였다.

인터넷이용의 급증에 따라 지식정보화사회 전반의 작업들이 분산환경의 디지털도서관에 저장되어 있는 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 쉽고 신속하게 찾아 새로운 정보를 생성 또는 공유하는 작업을 통해 이루어진다. 이를 위해 핵심적으로 연구해야 할 부분은 원격지에 흩어져 있는 정보를 효과적으로 연결시켜서 의미있고 일관된 형태로 보여지도록 하는 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 디지털도서관에서는 물리적으로 홑어져 있는 정보들이 논리적으로 일관되게 표현될 수 있는 가상공간을 제공해야 하며 가상공간에서 정보가 표현되었을 때 사용자가 원하는 정보를 신속하게 수집하여 제시할 수 있어야 한다. 가상문서(Virtual Document)란 특정 저장장소에 저장되어 존재하던 물리적 문서(Physical Document)들을 대상으로 사용자에게 필요한 일부분 또는 전체를 동적으로 연결하여 통합한 문서를 의미한다. MIRAGE-III 디지털도서관에서는 일반 텍스트문서와 XML로 기술된 구조화된 가상문서를 대상으로 내용기반 검색을 수행한다. 이 시스템에서는 XML 문서구조를 기반으로 부분문서의 검색이 가능하며 문서의 속성 및 계층구조에 대한 검색과 문서간의 링크관계를 이용한 검색도 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 MIRAGE-III 디지털도서관에서의 질의어처리기 및 검색기를 설계하고 구현한 방법론에 대하여 기술한다.

본 연구는 노인이 건강정보검색에서 어떠한 어려움과 감정변화를 경험하는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 총 10명의 노인들을 대상으로 개별면담을 실시하였고, 그 결과 참여한 노인들이 경험하는 어려움에는 크게 인지적 어려움과 신체적 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 인지적인 어려움에는 첫째, 어디에서 어떻게 건강정보를 찾는지의 어려움을 나타내었고, 둘째, 정보검색도구의 이용의 어려움을 나타내었고, 셋째, 신뢰할 수 있는 정확한 정보선택의 어려움을 나타내었다. 참여한 노인들의 신체적인 어려움에 대해서는 눈, 손, 다리, 몸 전체에 어려움이 있다고 나타내고 있었다. 감정변화에 대해서는 정보검색 초기에는 '궁금하다'와 '감정이 없었다'가 중간단계에는 여러 감정상태를 보이다가 정보를 찾은 후에는 긍정적인 감정표현과 건강에 대한 경각심이나 두려움이 한편으로 생기기도 하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 도서관의 관점에서 분석하고 논의한 후, 노인들을 위한 도서관의 역할을 제언하였다.

Modern public library is expanding its role as generalized cultural facility. Therefore public library that has comfortable and physical environment for various age and various users are needed. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design in common space of public library, and trying to suggest environmental improvement plan that various users could comfortably use the library based on its data. The scope of this research were adjusted as 8 public libraries located in Seoul and metropolitan area of Seoul. Spacial scope that was set of this research was common space of public library and scope of content was about application of universal design. As a result of the research, first, the application of universal design toward common space of public library were appeared as low. Second, constant management and application development of universal design is needed. Third, as roles and functions of public library become various from now on, application of delicate universal design is needed for intention of users.
