  • With the development of machine learning techniques, various types of data such as vibration, temperature, and flow rate can be used to detect and diagnose abnormalities in machine conditions. In particular, in the field of the state monitoring of rotating machines, the fault diagnosis of machines using vibration data has long been carried out, and the methods are also very diverse. In this study, an experiment was conducted to collect vibration data from normal and abnormal compressors by installing accelerometers directly on rotary compressors used in household air conditioners. Data segmentation was performed to solve the data shortage problem, and the main features for the fault classification model were extracted through the chi-square test after statistical and physical features were extracted from the vibration data in the time domain. The support vector machine (SVM) model was developed to classify the normal or abnormal conditions of compressors and improve the classification accuracy through the hyperparameter optimization of the SVM.

  • This study was conducted to find out whether excellent and non-excellent players could be distinguished by the achievement goal orientation(task-orientation, ego-orientation) test and the self-management(physical, interpersonal, training, mental management) test targeting youth soccer players. The subject of this study were 299 players(144 middle school students, 155 high school students) including 131 representative players by age and 168 general players who registered with the Korea Football Association. The questionnaires for data collection include the Task & Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire(TEOSQ) developed by Duda and Nicholls(1989) and the athlete self-management questionnaire(ASMQ) developed by Heo Jeong-hoon(2003) was used. For data analysis, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and discriminant analysis were performed using SPSS 23 version. As a result of analyzing the data, task orientation and ego orientation, which are sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, were both confirmed as tests that did not discriminate between excellent and non-excellent players. On the other hand, the self-management test was confirmed as a test that can discriminate between excellent and non-excellent players in body management, training management, and mental management excluding interpersonal management among the sub-factors of self-managemnet. In particular, among self-management, mental management was identified as the most important factor in discriminating between excellent and non-excellent athletes.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental participation motivation, satisfaction, and intention to reuse children with developmental disabilities using psychomotor centers. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the parents of children participating in psycho-exercise programs at a private developmental disability center located in the metropolitan area. The collected data was 188 copies, and the causal relationship was verified through descriptive statistics, factor analysis and reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions were obtained. First, in the relationship between parental participation motivation and satisfaction with regard to psychological exercise participation of children with developmental disabilities, only pleasure and social factors were significant in use satisfaction, and only social, health and physical fitness factors in performance satisfaction showed a significant influence. Second, in the relationship between participation motivation and intention to reuse, there were significant influences on pleasure, skill development and sense of achievement, and social factors. Third, in the relationship between satisfaction and intention to reuse, intention to reuse was significantly explained in factors of satisfaction with use and satisfaction with performance. In order to increase the reuse rate of psychomotor centers in the future, it is judged that additional analysis is necessary in addition to the measurement variables of this study.

  • The development of smart healthcare wearables for health is accelerating. Among them, many wearable products using EMS electrical stimulation, which is one of the active research fields, have been released. However, the EMS wearable, which has been studied or released, is released in a comprehensive full-body suit that does not focus on muscle segmentation or a belt that covers the entire abdomen. Therefore, this study intends to use two breathing methods by applying an EMS pattern that subdivides specific muscles and attach a stretch sensor that can measure breathing to the abdominal pressure belt. The measurement method was conducted by inhaling and exhaling, and the subjects were 10 men in their 20s with healthy bodies. As a result of this study, the sensor's sensitivity was 5 and 3 mm, and the basic sensor in both thoracic and abdominal breathings and the EMS abdominal pressure belt showed improved respiration activation after applying electrical stimulation before and after application. It is concluded that, because of the two patterns produced based on the physical function, the difference in respiration activation effect and sensitivity between sensors could be confirmed with three sensors rather than not applying electrical stimulation suitable for the respiration method. Based on the results of this study, a follow-up study aims to develop breathing smart clothing that can be monitored in real time in clothing-type wearable products that incorporate EMS patterns and stretch sensors.

  • Manual therapy has undergone parallel development throughout many parts of the world dating back to ancient times for at least 2,500 years. The earliest historical reference to the practice of manual therapy in Greece, dates back to 400 B.C. Over the centuries, manual medicines have fallen in and out of favor with the medical profession. To truly understand the principle, it is important to know that manual therapy was initially the mainstay of the three leading alternative health care systems, osteopathy, chiropractic, and most notably physical therapy. These were all founded in the latter part of the 19th century in response to the shortcomings in allopathic medicine. Although it has been around for a long time and has been used all over the world, there are a few reports on manual therapy treatment, and most papers provided a low level of evidence. Despite the controversies over manual therapy, its use appears to be increasing gradually. This article reviews the history of manual therapy from ancient times to the present including Korean history, discusses the current state of knowledge on manual therapy, and informs physicians who manage musculoskeletal pain.
